Evangeline Anderson is a registered MRI tech who would rather be writing. And yes, she is nerdy enough to have a bumper sticker that says “I’d rather be writing.” Honk if you see her! She is thirty-something and lives in Florida with a husband, a son, and two cats. She had been writing erotic fiction for her own gratification for a number of years before it occurred to her to try and get paid for it. To her delight, she found that it was actually possible to get money for having a dirty mind and she has been writing paranormal and Sci-fi erotica steadily ever since.
Enslaved (Brides of the Kindred #14) - 3 Stars Men are off limits in trin's world and not worth that much to begin with, really they're not needed. However to make some important deals trin needs to find herself a man statue and that is just where Thrace fits in.
While I did. It find this story to be quite as interesting as the others it did keep me enjoyable entertained.
Trin was extremely set in her ways but I liked how she interacted with Thrace. She could certainly put him in his place when she had to. Thrace went through so much as a kid and how he grew up, his story was really heartbreaking to read about.
Targeted (Brides of the Kindred #15) - 3.5 Stars Two is back and is targeting Emily. Lucky for her the assassin that was hired to kill her finds more of a reason to keep her alive.
Emily was really cute and I liked her personality. She had a no nonsense way about her that I found very refreshing. Targan was a little more complex, I didn't like him as much as some of the other characters but overall I understood her was up against his teachings from when he was younger that were conflicting with his feelings for Emily.
Kate seemed really interesting and I'm really excited to read her story, especially since we already got to see how she interacts with Rone.
Forgotten (Brides of the Kindred #16) - 3 Stars Not only has Kate lost all of her memories of Rone but she is terrified of him and to top it all off now that he has finally found her his hunger is getting worse than ever. They have to learn how to fix the problem fast before it gets out of control and ends up killing them both.
I felt really bad for Kate and Rone. I really liked them in the previous books. I'm not sure how I would feel in Kate's position, but I would imagine it would be something similar. Anderson did a great job of bringing across Kate's fear and confusion but also Rone's patience and understanding.
WHEW!!! These books are so hot they're on FIRE! Just as good as the books in all the previous volumes. Evangeline Anderson: setting astronomically impossible relationship goals since 2011 (at least)... ;) The only downside is that her editor(s) STILL could have done a better job (but since it's very similar to what I do for a living, the mistakes may stand out more to me). These mistakes tended to trip me up here and there, breaking up the great flow of the read. That being said: I continue to enjoy how Ms. Anderson builds up the relationships between all the characters continuously, so that you're always getting glimpses into each characters' life, feelings, thoughts, etc. Her foreshadowing is fab. She does a great job describing her characters as well - I cried HARD for them, ached with them, worried with them, everything. And the sex scenes are so perfectly graphic (although more delicate readers might not enjoy some of the wording she uses)... mmmmm. ;) I'm so happy I decided to get the whole series for myself as my birthday present!
Enslaved - this one overall was a good read give it 3.5 stars
Targeted - 3 stars was a slower read and I definitely struggled with the FMC because she seemed a little immature for the age it states she is so i struggled to connect with her reasoning throughout the storyline
Forgotten - 5 stars this one was crazy good and definitely different from all the other storylines in the series a must read
Excellent book. I am glad I spent money to buy this book. I will probably read all of the books in the series. This author is really good at weaving stories together. It doesnt feel fake at all, even though it is sci-fi.
