One fateful night, a couple's life is changed forever, leaving the is death really the end?
Dark, romantic, and a little bit scary, "Thomas" is a new kind of ghost story!
Written in an intriguing new way, the physical characteristics of the main character are never revealed, demonstrating the unimportance of gender and appearance in a love story.
Excerpt from the "I felt like it was the end of my life – the end of our story - but really, it was just the beginning."
Thomas by: Christopher Hiedeman 2018/2022 self published
Christopher Hiedeman has a warmth, an appreciation of life, that really shines, even in his words. You feel safe and accepted. Its especially evident in this story, 'Thomas'.
Our main character is in deep mourning, missing Thomas after losing him in an auto accident. For months he can not come to terms with the loss, until Thomas' ghost begins visiting him. This is a story of love, deep intense love, and how what we love can possess us, and consume our lives and choices. A very dark, but sweet story. The story is so well thought out, and has a charm as well as a message. By using no physical characteristics to descibe the characters, he exemplifies how easily we fall into stereotyping people, based on appearances, and our own prejudices. He reminds us of the unimportance of labelling, based on our own small view of the world - to look at the bigger picture. I love this book. I've read it several times, it gives me inspiration and hope. Its short and easy to read, but felt deeply.
