Oh my, how I love my food and wine books. When life is a little crazy these beautiful books ground me to what is important. And that is sharing a meal and time together, nothing better. This beautiful book has been on my shelf for many years, and while I have had referred it to it for certain holidays, this time I read the book and I loved it. There are so many wonderful recipes that I will refer to many times. And I must quote from the book cover:

“In sixteen seasonally organized chapters, the book presents parties of every kind, from a summertime Seaside Supper to an elegant Wine-Lovers’ Evenimg, a Traditional Christmas Dinner, and a sparkling New Year’s Eve Cocktail Party. Each includes a complete menu, along with entertaining tips, decorating and style ideas, and a detailed work plan.”

A little haughty, but most of the recipes seem doable enough. Gorgeous pictures. Nice for a coffee table or nightstand.
