James has a few days spare, from doing anything important, in his Bounty business, while Shay is off doing her mysterious doings.
After thoroughly cleaning his new-built home, despite it not actually needing it, James is then left with nothing to do, and is getting very bored of it, so he decides to take a trip to Vegas, to visit his favourite Barbecue place.
He only takes the bare minimum of armament with him, as he isn't planning to do any Bounty hunting while there.
But James' plans are changed when a monstrous, shadowy, red-eyed killer, starts stalking the dark alleys and side streets of Vegas, and choosing parents as his victims - killing them in cold blood, in front of their young children.
James wasn't having innocent children being made orphans, as he'd spent his life as one, so he begins a long, and complex, journey to find, and permanently stop, whatever this monster is!
I loved that Trey was more involved in this story. He's certainly come far from the punk gang leader that he was, when he first met James, and it looks like he's going to become a great lieutenant for James' budding new Bounty Hunter business, too.
I'm really happy that more of the characters are getting involved in James, and Shay's lives and, just as I'd hoped, in my previous review, there's more of their emotional life together written in the story.
I'm one happy bunny reading these three series together - with a fourth, then a fifth one, joining in fairly soon.
I can't wait to go on to my next book - which is Alison's SofNM series!
I'm now going to start reading book three: 'Bright Is Her Sight', which sounds intriguing, and I'm off to start reading it, just as soon as I finish this review.
Once I do, I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think of Alison's latest book!
