Trent’s mouth was twisted. “You need to let Callie go.” “And if I don’t?” Marcus taunted with a menacing grin. Trent inhaled deeply, “It’s your death.” He charged forward; his gun pointed at Marcus’s chest. Marcus smiled as if that was precisely what he wanted. He cocked his gun. All I could do was watch in horror as both men pulled their triggers. A deafening boom shook the dirty room as both men fell to the ground. Trent was laying still on the ground. “TRENT!” I cried out wondering if I had just lost him forever. Trent Mason is danger personified. Callie knew that from the moment she met him. That didn’t stop her for falling for him. Now Callie was pulled into Trent’s crazy life. They were surrounded by his enemies, but Callie refused to run. She had fallen for the gangster and only their love would save them both.

Ok, let's see. The writing is better and the story is more tamed and structured. I guess you can say the characters are more matured. This was better than the first, thank God! I enjoyed it. So what is the ending about? Is there a number three? I just don't know what to say, but who ends a book with a missing father of three years, meets hid child in the park for the first time and both parents agreed that he will have visiting rights one day a week when the child visits the grandmother? Is that it? I just can't...sigh!

Good Stuff

Okay I'm a little disappointed the way this story ends,I mean it just abruptly ended.This was a decent follow-up to the first story but there was something missing.Also just how many times do you have get hit over the head before you come to the conclusion that you need to follow instructions.There were quite a few typos that took away from a scene or a line and it took seriousness out.I was really hoping for something spectacular ,this was not a disappointment just okay.

A great IR romance w/ a loving but tough couple! Didn't like the way he, talked to Callie. But as I read more, understood Trent was only trying to protect his heart& his family. Recommend this great/complex love story, look forward to a third book. I love all Jay Quinn books and hope to see more of Cassie and Trent.

A very goo read and a loving I/R romance! I pray, she writes a third installment. The storyline is action packed and very believable.

I enjoyed the 2nd part of the story. Trent and Callie had to make some hard choices in life. Trent for the safety of his family, Callie for their baby. Trent could had told Callie what some going on. Callie should have been more observed when did things, she knew there where people looking for her and Trent. It will take time for Callie to trust Trent again.

You're killing me here!

I thought this would be where Callie and Trent lived happily ever after. Plot twist! I liked that Callie became stronger and more assertive, but why at the end? When's the next book coming out?

I had to give it three stars because of the way this book ended I am mean really I need to know if they get back together. This was a good read till I got to the end of the book. I can only hope there is a book three. Until then my three stars stand.😖😖😖😖😡

I can understand Callie decision to leave Trent for all of the crap she went though. But he did stay away so her and her the baby, along with mom, and sister wouldn't he bothered by the Feds. But Jay my love, OMG THE ENDING. Need for you to make a part 3🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I'm glad that Trent wasn't shot but I hate that the threat of Marcus wasn't completely eliminated. I'm glad that Trent found his way back to Callie and I hope she gives him another chance.
