Meet Reed Davis, king of the social ladder at Greenville High School, mechanical enthusiast, and jock extraordinaire. Reed has never been the type to like girls—rather, he's the type to be liked. Enter September Jones. September Jones is unlike any girl Reed has ever laid eyes on. She's intelligent, beautiful... and she's the first to have ever rejected him. She's perfect in every sense of the word—except for one tiny problem. After a year of finally securing a close friendship with September, she breaks the news to Reed that she's leaving their small Oregon town and moving across the world to finish school. As September packs her bags, Reed is faced with a heart-wrenching decision: asking her to stay for his sake, or letting his first real love go.

I really enjoyed this book. I was smiling at the beginning because of how everyone's relationship was with one and another. I think that's how real friendship should be. Just between few close friends. Those are who you appreciate the most. Love how no matter what happened between them 4 they were able to surpass anything because there friendship were more important than a stupid argument. Loved that September was the one who held everyone together, even when she left, felt that she was there keeping everyone at bay. This book made me feel that I should appreciate my few close friends more. Spend more time and have memorable days with them because you never know what mite happen.
I love books like this, with so many characters! I've got to say, Marcus was my favorite character. He has like anger issues(/depression?) and he doesn't know how to deal with it. And September is leaving to go off to England, and it's her last month in Oregon. I really enjoyed that this took place in the PNW, cuz that's where I'm from! I did feel like September was a little mom-ish though. She was like the mom friend of the group. I also liked that this book has cars in them. Like you could still read this if you don't know any car lingo, but I enjoyed reading about Tom's car shop.
