This was a short quick work that I liked a lot. A king takes his Queen. Gabriel King knew Aubrie " Brie" Winters was off limits to him and his brother's she is his bestfriends sister. While Gabriel has always wanted Aubrie for himself, he has stayed away until that faithful night when he finds her being sold after being abducted. This was a pretty good read that I liked a lot. Brie and Gabe had a lot of chemistry that was hot. When he saves her she has no idea who it was. Gabe is an undercover trying to stop the operation he is a killer he is also hot and sexy he has known Brie for awhile and was surprised to see her there. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I have read this author before and I hope that she continues to write about the other King brothers.

I loved the blurb but felt it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The premise is good with the King family, it took awhile before I felt the chemistry between King and Brie.

Aubrie and Gabriel’s story will scare you and thrill you at the same time. A political family pretending everything is perfect and a family of hitman taking out the bad guys. There is years of pent up feelings for each other that come out after circumstances draws them closer than they’ve ever been. Great story. Great flow especially since it’s a novella. You get a lot of story in a short read. Loved the characters and look forward to more books from others in this story. I received an early copy to read and review and give my honest opinion. I really enjoyed it. I got into their story and I highly recommended it.

This novella gave me a bit of everything...suspense, darkness, fear, and possibility.
Gabriel King and his family do things, protect others behind the scenes. Their hands are dirty because they're trained assassins. Aubrie, daughter of a political giant, sister of best friend and completely off limits becomes a victim, one Gabe intends on saving. They are drawn together. They are breaking the rules.
This storyline is relatable for today. Characters were believable, raw and real. I liked how Gabe and his family gave credence to the victims and no regrets for their actions. I silently rooted for their missions.
Dual POVs gave the story depth.

This was a fantastic short read that was jam packed with all our favorites from hot alpha men to the darkness we all love. Hilary Storm is hands down one of my absolute favorite authors and with this book it was no different that she left us begging for more of those King men. Aubrie is a bad ass women that has you never wanting her and Gabriels story to end!

Perfect read! Lots of angst, darkness, and just enough steam to keep me begging for more. Characters are intense and passionate. I fell in love with them immediately. Really hoping there will be a series!!

Hooked from the beginning!!!

Ohhhh this book made me so excited!! Not just for obvious reasons but because i can't wait for the next bloody book!
I loved it! It had me gripped from start to finish! Bring on the King family!
Gabe is an assassin. Highly skilled at what he does he has no fear of anything. Working with his family he knows he's covered. On a highly dangerous job Gabe comes across the one girl he knows he can never have. His best friends sister Aubrie. He knows he shouldn't want her but he does he always has.
Aubrie finds herself in the worst position of her life. Scared for her life she see's no way out of her predicament until her savior rescues her and takes her back home. Scared and needing comfort she moves in with her brother who is living with his best friend Gabe. She's always had a thing for him but most of what comes out of his mouth puts her straight off.
When Aubrie realizes Gabe had a hand in saving her she want's to know what's going on. Gabe can't tell her his secrets but that doesn't mean he doesn't want to. When Aubrie begins to break down his walls Gabe just needs to let go of past promises and claim what's his.
OOOOOOhhhhhhhhh i really loved it. I loved the setup of the storyline. The premise of more King siblings is like dangling a carrot in front of a donkey! I'm biting!
Gabe is amazing as the annoying best friend of Aubrie's brother. He is everything you wished your brothers friends were like. I'd be all over that like a cheap suit! I loved how he tried to be hard to get but once he and Aubrie came into contact he had no chance at all. He gave in all consequences be damned.
Aubrie although technically the damsel in distress was definitely no victim. She gave Gabe as good as he gave. She was 100% shaken by events but it was great seeing her give Gabe Sass!
I loved the brothers best friend story because i love it when characters have a past together. I feel it gives the story more depth and i think that really worked in this story because of it being short. The plot was engaging and drew me in. I was immediately curious about what was going to happen while also wondering about the next book.
The love scenes were hot and i loved the frantic-ness of their first encounter... phewwwww i'm not sure i would have made it out the parking lot!

I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.
This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

A great quick read that I absolutely loved. It offered everything from humor to suspense to romance.

Aubrie and Gabriel have known each other for years, after all Gabriel is her brother's best friend. But don't let that fool you. This is not your average friends to lovers. Brie finds herself in a horrible situation and fears for her life. When she thinks all hope is gone a mysterious stranger intervenes and nothing in her life will ever be the same.
This novella may have read quickly but the characters were developed well. I didn't feel as though their characters were cheated in anyway, but I would love a full length novel of them someday or maybe of other characters.
I would recommend this book to anyone.

If you're looking for a quick, hot read this is a good choice
This was recommended by a friend and the blurb was interesting, so I thought I'd give it a try. I'd read a book or two by this author a couple of years ago and had the impression of them being decent reads but not really quite what I'm looking for, and this book didn't change that opinion.
I liked Gabriel, especially his protectiveness, but I had more trouble connecting to Aubrie, though they had lots of chemistry together. There were plenty of intriguing secondary characters like Alex (Aubrie's brother) and Victoria (Gabriel's sister) and the setup was interesting as well.
Lots of action, lots of heat and interesting setup and characters, the story just lacked a little something for me. More background, more detail, I don't know...just more. At the end of the day, if you're looking for a quick, hot read this is a good choice, it's just not quite my taste. 3.5 stars

This was such a treat for me! I love Hillary and she's done it again. This is a wonderful novella. Gabriel King is just hot, and Aubrie is the right amount of damsel in distress.
She's been kidnapped after a date, shivering and terrified for her life.
Blind folded and bound she's auctioned off to the highest bidder.
Gabriel is a killer, a good one who's also a friend of Aubrie's. When he sees her at the auction he's got to act fast to save her, he's just got to do it without her finding out it was him. His family is mad that he deviated from their plan, but he had to act and save the girl he's know for years.
The sparks fly with this couple. It's got heat and I loved the chemistry with these two! I now need the stories of rest of the incredible King family!

This was a fast easy read. It had me hook line and sinker.. Once I started I could not put it down.
Gabe and his entire family are highly trained assassins. They are good at what they do. When Gabe gets sent in for a job he soon realizes his job is to save the one person he knows he cant have but he has wanted for quite some time, his best friends little sister.
Aubrie finds herself in a heap of trouble.. after leaving a blind date she finds herself blindfolded and tied up, ready to be sold to the highest bidder…
So what happens when your new “owner” is your brother’s best friend? He was sent in to get you out, lines are getting crossed and feelings getting mingled in…
Get ready for a wild ride. Hears to hoping for more from these King Men (and woman).

I'm typically not a fan of novella's unless they're being published as a prequel to a story or maybe an extra epilogue/bonus material relating to a previous book. This is a story there is a beginning, middle and end and even depth, its just too short, I wanted more. I did enjoy this story, I connected easily to the characters and storyline, the only issue, and it's a tiny issue is that I didn't initially FEEL the connection between Gabriel and Aubrie. For me, that part could've been a bit more descriptive from both characters perspective. I know, picky, picky but I need the FEELS, emotional reader here and I'm sure it's not easy to hit all these points when writing a short story. I'm looking forward to the next book.

I am loving this King family, and the Winters as well, and I Hope we get more of them.

I loved this debut novella by Hilary Storm and Kinsley Michaels. Gabriel King and his brothers and sister have known Aubrey Winters and her brother for many years. In fact, Gabriel and Aubrie’s brother Alex are best friends.
The chemistry between Gabe and Brie is strong. I loved to see it play against the tough subject matter of the situation they found themselves in. Their family dynamics were also very interesting, and I’d love to see more of that in upcoming stories—if that’s in the works.
I really hope to see more from the King family!

This book checks all my boxes and I guarantee it'll check yours too!! Romance, suspense, humor, sexy alpha male, strong female lead and so on. The writing is flawless and captures your attention from page one. The chemistry between Gabriel and Aubrie is there from the start but she is his forbidden fruit being his best friends little sister. When you're told not to touch the only thing you want to do is touch and boy does he ever!! This is a definite must read so buckle up and enjoy the Notorious ride.

Expected more from Hilary Storm. Judging by the 4 and 5 star reviews everyone must of been reading a different book to me. Thought this was written very amateurish and was seriously lacking in plot and storyline. Not impressed at all . Was rushed and I just thought " what am I reading? " Beginning then load of pointless padding then the end . I also thought the kidnap and bidding part was very similar to a Bethany Kris book I've read. I know you can write better than this. Sorry didn't like it.

It was hot and intense a page turner from the beginning, Gabriel was all alpha, brooding and sexy, you could feel the chemistry between him and Aubrie from the beginning.
I can’t wait to hear more from the King brothers and their sister it’s promising to be an exciting series.
Five well deserved stars out of stars.

Didn't want their story to end
I read this book quickly because it was just that good. Now I wish I had read it sooner but instead it got lost on my to be read list. It was so so good! Gabriel oozed sex appeal and his broodiness made him even hotter. He was calculated and dangerous but also protective and loyal. Brie was a very likeable character. She definitely had some bad luck but everything worked out.
Together they heated up the pages of this story and now I wish I hadn't of read the book so fast.

Well worth the read.
I love any books written by Hilary Storm, her writing has a way of drawing me in. When I start a book by her chances are I know that I won’t sleep until it’s over and I’m hungry for more and Notorious King did just that for me... it’s left me wanting more of the King family and to see how they develop in their own books. Hopefully we won’t have to wait to long for the next book!

Gabriel and Brie have been around each other for years. They annoyed each other growing up but there was something there deep below. So when Gabriel finds Brie is a horrible situation he steps in without her knowledge! However, she's strong one and things start to heat up. This is a fast paced book that will have you finishing it in one setting. I absolutely loved the chemistry between the two and love how it all turned out in the end! I can't wait for more from the King family!
