It Was Okay
I can’t say I understood the books description considering how clueless I was at the start, but it was a good thing, because that kept me interested.
The story had good bones, but it kind of fell flat. I likes it overall, it was interesting and happy in a sense, I guess I just don’t really know what I’m looking for in a book anymore.

Excellent
I greatly enjoyed this book. It’s a sweet story and very well written. I would have liked to see the parent situation more resolved and it would have made the book a bit longer. Overall though, it was excellent. And now I’ll be starting her other book. Sweet!

2nd Great Read In Two Days
As the tag says, this one too is an excellent read this book also deals with complex family and emotional issues with lots of characters and sub plots,they are so well written and beautifully executed they become a full well rounded story. If you like this book try Meeting Mrs Garret you won’t be disappointed

Good, Bad and Ugly!
I loved this story, the good was a topic not normally covered. The chemistry between Piper and Selma and the flow of this story playing out was captivating. The additional characters and their stories added to the appeal. Bringing the readers attention to the foster care system was a reminder that some good can happen. The ugly is the foster care system does let down children who have been mistreated and just looking for hope. This is the case all over the world. Something really needs to be done to help these kids. The bad is there were so many mistakes with name confusion and it was a little off putting. However in the end the story held its own. I have read many books from this writer and this is the first time I have noticed these mistakes. I am still a fan.

An interesting cast of characters with a slightly tangled mix of adopted, biological and self-selected family groups. The diverse group at the end consisting of girlfriends, foster siblings, half-sisters and their children has the strongest ties. An enjoyable read with an unusual story line.

Great romance
Loved the way the whole plot was laid out. Selma was a wonderful character, strong as well as loving and understanding. Piper was a real great character. She stood firm for her adopted family. Her honesty about her sexuality was refreshing.

Delightful
Despite some very heavy subject matter, this was a breezy, fun, romantic read. The protagonists were vibrant and likeable, and the plot gently turned a few tropes on their heads.

The story is sweet, and Piper and Selma are cute together. I am starting to become a fan of Raquel-De-Leon. I have read everything that I can find by her that I can find and I am really looking forward to seeing more books by her.

Disappointing
I wanted to Love this book. The first half of the book was Great. But in the end it fell short. Almost as if the author forgot to finish the last chapter. The book felt incomplete.
Would NOT recommend this book to others.

Good but...
... not as good as “Meeting Mrs. Garrett” or “Wanting Her.” I read both of them before this one. This one doesn’t have the edge/bite that those do. So... this one is kind of disappointing in contrast.

Not as good as her other twos, it’s very fast moving and not much of a build up. But it’s a good read if you’re looking for something simple and easy

It started off great, I was hooked and couldn’t put it down, it fell flat towards the end though and it probably could have finished a few chapters sooner than it did.
A good read but it seemed to have been dragged out at the end.
