Join former lawyer Nicole Fitzhenry-Dawes in another 700 pages of new murders and mayhem in award-winning author Emily James’ Maple Syrup Mysteries.

TAPPED OUT - BOOK 7

No one is exactly what they seem…

Former lawyer Nicole Fitzhenry-Dawes should be focusing on planning her wedding and a friend’s baby shower, as well as running her maple syrup farm.

Instead, her “former” profession won’t let her go.

Her maid of honor, Elise Scott, is suspended from her job as a Fair Haven police officer for investigating a case she shouldn’t have been anywhere near, endangering not only her career but also her relationship with a fellow officer. Nicole can’t believe Elise would have risked so much without a good reason.

When Nicole finds out that the reason involves Elise's children, she ends up defending a man she isn’t convinced is innocent.

And the deeper she goes into his case, the more she becomes a target of very dangerous people…

BUCKET LIST - BOOK 8

No one should have murder on their bucket list…

Former lawyer Nicole Fitzhenry-Dawes knows she’ll eventually have to either remove the former from in front of lawyer or embrace a new life making maple syrup full-time.

Problem is she’s not sure she’s cut out for either.

When the museum curator who helped her find a replacement antique sap bucket is accused of murdering one of his employees, Nicole agrees to take the case as a way to decide at last which career path she’ll follow. If she can’t successfully argue his case in court, she’ll resign from a legal career for good.

Unfortunately, the case turns out to be one of the most challenging she’s faced—from rare fatal diseases to a client whose defense is that he hallucinated a bear.

The deeper she gets into the case, the more it seems everyone has a secret to keep.

And secrets are seldom sweet…

END OF THE LINE - BOOK 9

Ignorance is rarely ever bliss…

Nicole Fitzhenry-Dawes’ wedding day is fast approaching, and what she should be focused on is the last-minute details like dress fittings and cupcake tastings.

She’s not.

Fair Haven’s police chief is missing and another Fair Haven PD officer has been brutally murdered. When evidence starts showing up that implicates Nicole’s fiancé, Mark, as the mastermind behind it all, Nicole knows she has to investigate, otherwise she might be taking her vows through prison cell bars.

But doing so will bring her directly into conflict with the worst criminal she’s yet faced—one who’s willing to do anything to remain anonymous.

These books are "clean" reads and contain no swearing, gore, or steamy bedroom scenes. While the series is best enjoyed in order, each book is a complete mystery on its own.

This is a very fun and totally lovely book series. I've read all 9 now and the closer I got to the end of each book the harder it was to put down. Thank you for writing this series. Read read read!!!!!

I very seldom give a 5-star rating to any book, because I usually have reservations about some aspect of it. Not so with Emily James. In the cozy mystery space, she’s simply one of the best. Her writing’s tone, characterization, motivations for plot twists, interesting subplots, and likable characters are outstanding. And she’s lovely to her fans (she responded to my fan email with a personalized reply). Plus, she gives you a recipe in each book for a dish that figures into the plot. What’s not to like?

So, 5 stars not to any one book, but to the whole Maple Syrup Mystery Series. Now, on to the Cupcake Truck Mysteries.

Love these books

I love this series. It is hard to put each book down. I live in Northern New York State and we produce Maple Syrup too. My grandfather used to make Maple Syrup on his farm but I barely remember that as I am 75 years old and that was a long time ago. I love all the recipes too.

This is a wonderful series. Interesting characters and setting. Not too much violence. The plot is well done and has plenty of twists. I often get sick of a series after reading a couple of books. I read from book one to book nine and may now read book 10.

Wonderful series

This series is very rare, in that each story is not a variation of all the other stories in the series.I loved the characters, the settings, and the very clever plots.

Definitely worth reading.

I get a distinctive Agatha Christie vibe from these books. Little hints often tell me 'who done it' long before the story does, but these are just tricky enough to keep me guessing, until the culprit is identified.
