Will the real Antichrist please stand up? For the last two thousand years people have been anxiously trying to analyze who the Antichrist might be and when he might be revealed. Many people have made preposterous claims, and of course, they have been wrong. If you’re not careful, you can get caught up in the debate and spend so much time arguing with other Christians over the details that you don’t accomplish anything for the kingdom! To make matters worse, we now live in an era when, for the first time, we have the possibility of an artificial intelligence Antichrist, a human computer hybrid that will demand to be worshipped. Have you ever wondered if it’s OK to have Alexa, Siri, and other forms of artificial intelligence in your home? We know that the Bible says great deception is coming, so what is a concerned believer to do? Author and minister Mark Biltz wants you to understand the methods of the Antichrist so you won’t be deceived.
This book will help you know the big picture of what has happened historically, what is unfolding this very moment, and what the future holds concerning the Antichrist based on the unfolding purposes of God.
Wow! The information in this book should be read by every believer!
I highly recommend this book to anyone who really wants to know and understand God's true calendar and symbolism. I believe as the author inferred, it will help you be more like the 5 wise virgins who were prepared when the Lord returns. Admittedly, I read some paragraphs several times before understanding them fully, because this book is packed full of in depth biblical knowledge and the background behind the author's in depth research is eye opening. Frankly, I now feel like my previous perceptions of God's Word were almost superficial. This would be a great book for a group study as well.
The book was so-so in my opinion. I actually found it kind of boring. There was a lot of technical detail and history lessons. I think the title is very misleading. I did not find this book "decoded the antichrist" at all. In fact it spent more time on history lessons than anything else. It described what the Christians, Jews, and Muslims all believe concerning the antichrist, but again, there was no "decoding" going on. I am a student of eschatology, and have dozens and dozens of books on this subject, and this book told me nothing new at all that hasn't been hashed out already.
Mark Biltz has written a thoroughly enjoyable book on recognising that we are approaching the "end times". He appears to be a Christian, but believes we need to be aware of our Jewish brothers and sisters, and to follow their feasts etc just like Jesus did. He also tells that it is more important to recognise the acts of the antichrist rather than trying to determine who he actually is.
I learnt a lot from considering eschatology from the Christian as well as Jewish perspective.
My husband and I have tried to understand the festivals of the LORD, but as Christians, (and westerners) it is hard to move into a better understanding. This book has opened my eyes into seeing things better from the eastern (Jewish and God's) perspective. I will read it again!
It's not that interesting. His comments on Soloman were revealing of God's bias and interpretation was unique. Personally, I think Soloman repented in the end at least I hope so.
This should be a must read book, for anyone really trying to understand our time frame. It is a non- biased book, that shows a crystal clear analisys of biblical texts. I strongly recommend this book.
This an eye opening book and it has increased my understanding of Jewish customs and laws that dramatically supplement my understanding of the Bible. I highly recommend it!
Mark Biltz is an unparalleled teacher! Reading this book is like drinking water from a fire hose!! Wow!! The chapter on King Solomon is worth the price of admission.
You can put your English Bibles on the shelf. Unless you can read the Bible in Hebrew like Mr. Blitz, you can’t really understand it.
Blitz believes history goes through continually repeating cycles. He bases that on Ecc. 1:9. Prophecy scriptures have multiple fulfillment in history this way. This avoids the spiritual interpretation of prophecy. (2 Cor 3:6)
He looks at the possibility of an AI Antichrist, which seems to be a trending meme now-a-days. He does give some interesting facts about king Solomon as a type of Antichrist. I’m not sure how that connects to AI.
He considers the early saints and martyrs antisemitic, and believes that was due to the influence of Greek philosophy. He also blames them for “replacement theology.” So-called “replacement theology” has always been the belief of mainstream Christianity. In the 19th century, Dispensationalism tried to change that.
Blitz devotes 32 pages to the Jewish view of eschatology, 15 pages to the Islamic view of eschatology, and 13 pages to the chapter on Christian eschatology. In the Christian chapter he describes amillennialism in one sentence. Postmillennialism and historic premillennialism each get two sentences. Dispensational premillennialism gets 5 sentences. He then gives two pages to describe general Christian eschatology which is completely Dispensational. The rest of the chapter consists of 9 pages with the opinions of various rabbis about Christianity. Get the picture?
Good book and very interesting. I love the old Testament and Jewish history and perspective. It is good to understand the scriptures from Jewish thinking.
