Note from the Author: FOREVER  is the third in The Trelawneys of Williamsburg series. There is a complex revenge murder mystery that crosses three centuries and all of the books, and it is NOT recommended this book be read independently. Consider first reading TENDER and IMMORTAL before beginning FOREVER . Each book contains plot developments that put in motion events of the next book, as well as revealing events that occurred in previous books. Reading the books out of order may not be the optimum reading experience.

Set on the backdrop of the American Revolution in 1781, FOREVER, Book 3 in The Trelawneys of Williamsburg Series, consummates the story of Rachel, Merrilea, and Juliana Miller.

In her timeless quest to learn why her parents deserted her, Juliana has discovered one ironclad rule: Leave no footprints.

The independent young woman wants more than anything to leave an impact—through a family of her own. The memory of the passionate Rashall Adams abides with her through all the years since he left.

Now Rashall is back—tired of injustice and strife, wanting only to make a home with Juliana. But when Major General Lafayette recruits him to uncover the intelligence of the British army by posing as a runaway slave, how will he respond?

Will Juliana and Rashall prevail over the corruption and war that conspire to divide them?

As the Miller sisters endeavor to make peace with their past, they find the future fraught with challenges they never expected.

Well, this is the end of a series which I for one have enjoyed reading, time travel stories are very interesting and this series has certainly been that. This book Forever winds the series up beautifully. Julia's story is spread over many years and there are many twists and turns to it but Anne Meredith has kept the flow going well and managed to hold my interest all the way through.

This book can not be read as a stand-alone, in my opinion, you do have to read all three but I thought my time was well spent. I loved the Epilogue and think you will too.

The third and final book in this wonderful series and we finally have Juliana's story

Juliana the third Miller sister is different to Rachel and Marley(books 1 & 2) in that she knows that she can time travel She has always loved Rashall Adams but will their love hav any chance when he has been sent to the British to act as a runaway by Lafayette. Will these two have any chance at a future together

THis series is absolutely superb and the research is so good that it could probable be used as a history text. I would recommend that the series be read in oreder

Forever is the third book in the Trelawneys of Williamsburg series by Anne Meredith. This book continues from where Immortal ended and brings the reader through the rest of the Revolutionary War and the surrender of Cornwallis. It nicely ties up the storylines of the Trelawney, Miller and Adams families as they travel through time to unite, separate, put an end to the problems caused by the Mannings and continue on in their lives. This is a series that combines history, romance, adventure and a bit of fantasy.

I loved this series of books because of the way they accentuate the role of free blacks and slaves in this countries fight for freedom. It's obvious their contribution was essential in winning the war. It's a heritage to be proud of and should be claimed by those who's ancestors fought for freedom even if they still were not free in the end. THESE are the black lives that matter and they loved this country free or slave.

As you read these books you begin to understand the complexity of ending the horror of slavery. For Washington and Jefferson as well as many like them it came down to a question of opportunity for people they cared for and felt responsible for if they were freed. For many others they saw no horror in what they were doing by enslaving people and treating them no better than cattle. Slavery was embedded in this country AND indentured servitude was. We speak about slavery but never about the white indentured servants who were also enslaved for years, decades or lifetimes themselves and not treated much better than slaves.

What I am taking away from reading this series of books is an understanding that even something that is morally wrong can't be changed with the snap of a finger. This was a brand new country that had to find a way to move forward with development of leadership roles, laws, rights we take for granted today but NO ONE anywhere else on earth had at that time. Change takes time and if there's no template for that change it takes longer.

The fact that these patriots wrote the most brilliant document ever seen even today, the Declaration of Independence and Constitution, is an example of their collective genius. It is the most civilized document written and it was written in uncivilized times. Things were not perfect and slavery didn't end but I firmly believe this group of American patriots created what was the first step of ending the inhumane treatment of others.

Through the entwined storylines of this series we see how people of different races grew morally and emotionally within families and friendships. We are given a glimpse of our roots. We are shown that what we believe should have been a simple change for the better of mankind was anything but.

The reader is lucky enough to view the past through books that completely entertain but also educate and make you think. You have to ask yourself how could these men have accomplished perfection in an imperfect world. The conclusion is they did the best they could and it honestly is better than anyone in history has ever done under insurmountable odds.

This is a series every American who doubts the greatness of their country should read. You'll learn we are a great country and we are great because a group of ordinary men came together in desperation and those men together brought out the genius in each other. Out of their genius and with the help of a bunch poor country boys with rifles they defeated the greatest military power on earth and from that defeat created what was and still is viewed as a utopia to the downtrodden in other countries, the United States of America.

Great continuous of the other 2 books. The series is cool. It goes back and forth between the past, present and future. The characters were life like. A story of good versus evil.

Third book of historic romance mixed with time travel. It is as intriguing as its predecessors, but more complicated, as if trying to explain everything at once. It got a bit confusing at times, and the few editorial mistakes didn’t help the reader. I still loved the characters, although the author’s habit of mixing people in conversations often created quite a chaos in this book, much more than in the previous ones.

Anyway, these books gave us lots of emotions during all the partly historic, partly impossible adventures, and I understood the reason behind it all: to show Americans today the multifaceted human elements in the forming of this young nation. And the importance of remembering our past if we want to survive.

Loved the first two books Tender and Immortal. But Forever had some good parts but didn't like it. Didn't like all the high tech travel. Loved that the characters came back from the first two books but didn't like how different they had become. Also if your going to make a man as a president I would advise you know which number he was. Laying in bed reading and your talking about Thomas Jefferson. You said not once but twice that he was the second President of these United states. He was third as John Adams was second. Whom ever was proof reading it didn't do their job. So with that and all the high tech nd everything else, well it just lost its charm. The forth book I won't be reading it and have ended the series. Good luck and happy reading to all.

Too much gratuitous sex in the series interferes with the story line.
This is a strong story line but the sex scenes interfere with the story. An illusion to the sex would suffice. I love the story line of the entire series but it is spoiled by to need for graphic sex scenes that are not necessary to the story. I'm not a prude but I want sex scenes to be needed as a part of the story not as something to add excitement to the story. The plot of this series is powerful but is spoiled by the gratuitous sex scenes. Doesn't the author have confidence in her story that she can't tell it with out the explicit sex?

I was sure if this would be my kind of read but after going thru all 3 books and really enjoying it I am so glad I did. Following the three characters thru and watching how solving the mystery took place it was really good. I must have been in a mystery mood because I went thru all 3 books like it was nothing! Great first impression from a new to me author.

Now finally we have Juliana story. This one a bit different because she already knows she can travel time yet events that others know about she does not have knowledge of because in her life the events have not occurred. Really cool idea!! I loved the Epilogue. What I really liked about these stories was how all the characters blended. Ms. Meredith must have a mind like a steel trap to keep it all together. These three books were an unexpected pleasure to read and books I will come back to over and over again. I also read the preview goodie the story has not ended. “ As time is, so beats our hearts—tender, immortal, forever” a beautiful phase for a beautiful series. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

Just as a preface, this is not my usual genre. I’m not really a Colonial girl more Georgian England for my historical romance. If you like Colonial ...and you like Highlander....you’ll probably love this. I’m not a big fan of either but I’m glad I gave this try. It has a lot of merit and I can see the appeal even though it’s not for me.

I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is the third installment of the series. To be honest, this was not my favorite of the three. I was expected Juliana and Rashall's story since the other two sisters had theirs. This book was full of everyone and Juliana and Rashall seemed to be side characters. Their story wasn't explored as in-depth as the other two. There was a lot of time travel in this one with everyone bouncing around time periods.

I was surprised by Juliana's time travelling and learning more about the travel process. I wonder if the forthcoming book will go into time travel process and everything more.
