Welcome to the His Mate world of Comedy Romance that'll make you howl with laughter.
Bree is the kind of witch that will throw caution to the wind and try any spell once. Unfortunately, once is enough in this case when she unleashes a spell that brings the wolves to the door - literally.
The alpha is going about his business when all hell breaks loose around him. There are witches on pack land, every single male wolf shifter wants a sniff of them, and mating is in the air, but who will be wooing who?
Bree and Maxi have no intention to make life easy for the alpha or his pack. Become a mate to a wolf shifter - not likely. The hunt is on for a lovesick wolf that's gone walkabout in town, a sarcastic vampire is stirring the oversized cauldron full of trouble and mischief, and an elder witch shows up to berate the witch that has stolen her spell.
Throw in a whole heap of zapping and wooing and you have a laugh out loud romantic comedy to howl about.
Ha I absolutely loved this book it was hilarious. I love Bree she’s so much trouble. I can’t wait to see who her Mate is. They say witches and wolves don’t mix. Well when you got two witches who release a mating potion in the air then all bets are off. Can these two witches cancel the spell before they end up wolfy chow? Or will the spell come back to bite them in the butt? Literally.
ML Briers always delivers dialogue that makes me laugh. When things get a bit intense around my life and i need a funny romance, i know to whom I turn! Now, the romance IS sweet and can be intense in some books and a bit tamer in others, but the comedy is wonderful. (And when the line “Enquiring Minds Want to Know” was said, I wondered how many readers would not know where that originated. 😄) I know some have said its the same basic plot and its true. Witches end up on pack land somehow and a pack member sniffs and the witch is its mate. Neither WANTED a mate like what they were given, but as they spend time the pull happens and love starts. Kinda like many marriages I know. Well, minus the paranormal parts.
I am not sure if I shall go ahead and read next in this series or try a stand alone in her work next. But ML Briers is always a good read.
Love the laughs. Lots of humor throughout. Good characters and a book that I enjoyed. Witches and shifters -- aren't most women looking to tame the guy who is called a wolf or sometimes a wolf in sheep's clothing. I wonder where the idea of a man who likes to chase women makes him a wolf came from.? I do enjoy a good romantic comedy. Could it be little red riding hood?
4 STARS to M L Brides for Book 1 of this funny remarkable wildly interesting story. Going on this kooky paranormal love story combines witches, vampires, and werewolves for an exciting adventure; a joy to read with likeable characters. WARNING: 17 &Up. SEXUAL CONTENT: YES Sexual Intercourse: YES VIOLENCE: NO CUSSING: NO
This book had no character development. It drops you heard first into the botched spell that fuels the plot. The two main characters are witches who literally only screech, squeal, and snipe at each other for the entirety of the book, combine this with the lack of character development and it is very difficult to find any reason to sympathize or enjoy them. I was looking forward to a funny plot about some witches and a spell gone wrong but truthfully the two dimensional harpies at the center of this story made it tedious and annoying. There are also numerous grammatical errors and such repetitious vocabulary that I found myself grinding my teeth and could barely finish the very short book. Over all it was a disappointing and frustrating execution of a potentially funny plot.

This book was very hard to follow. It had way too much dialogue and switched point of views every couple sentences. It would have been a good story line if it wasn’t as rushed and had more back story, less dialogue, and if it needed to change POV, do it at the beginning of a chapter, not in the middle of a paragraph.
The humor in this book was top rate and kept me snickering and laughing most of the way through the book. What do you get when a witch spills potion on herself on wolf pack land? It is worth the read to find out. I am counting on the second book being as good as the first. Howl on lol.
I absolutely loved this book! Wonderful characters that interact with each other beautiful. The plot twists and turns are fantastic. I can't wait for the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book.
Some people never think before causing problems for those around them
This was another befuddling comic / romance that I have enjoy tremendously alway find the story zestful an wanting to read more adventures of the pack episodes
Bree was really annoying. I was annoyed with her the whole time reading the book. I was so sure that she was the Alpha's mate at one point it maybe the Vampire's. I loved how Maxi said to help with it that's my mate and I'm going to have him😂😂😂
I have read almost all the stories this author have out there and let me tell you, his wicked humor and ways of bringing the characters in line is amazing! These are sweet short HEA most read.
It’s like watching a slap stick film that keeps jumping scenes or gets stuck on repeat. The supposed zany is just annoying, you learn almost nothing about the characters so you never care. Boring and badly written.
This was a quick read. It was what I was looking for. Fast and easy read with a touch of humor. This was perfect for when you want simple entertainment without putting any effort into keeping track of details. Will be reading the rest of this series.
Too stupid to live characters does not equal romantic comedy. It results in characters too annoying to read and makes you question what the author was thinking. Just glad I didn't waste money on this.
I liked it but I wish Bree was nicer. I had hoped the Alpha was her mate and take her in hand a little. Would like to see the Vamp get a mate to. Will try one more book.🐕👹 Hope puppies/witches vs padlocks in future.
Haphazardly witching this way they come, to raise a ruckus. The witching hour is not the only thing these two mess up, beware of these two witches bearing potions.
This book is a great stress reliever and provides endless comedic relief. Its a shorter story that reminds me of all the misadventures that i have encountered with my own friends and i would recommend it for a light read.
Great quick read with many laugh out loud moments. Can’t wait for the next book hope it’s out soon. Loved the new cover it reflects the comedy within the story
