Summary:
Theo and his friends find themselves locked up after they were accused of killing Grandmother Yasta by their enemy who committed the act Karl. Grandmother Yasta was one of the kindest monks who helped Theo and Cherish to understand their gifts and saved Theo’s life after the beating Karl gave him in training practice. Theo learned form Grandmother Yasta that his hatred of Karl could be the reason why Batumah took the ability form him. What was taken can be returned if Batumah wishes. Now with Cherish after Cherish was beheaded by Karl Theo desperately wants to save his friend. Theo is having strange dreams that make no sense until his dream combines with Cherish giving them an understanding that something is very wrong.
This is a very complex series where things are not always what they seem leaving the characters wondering who they can trust. The mystical scenes with Batumah adds mystery and a religious twist as some members of the team begin to understand what the Yasta monks were teaching them. I for one can’t wait to find out how it all ends.

Book 7 of Andrew C. Broderick’s Relissarium Wars Space Opera series is called War. Following on from events in book 6, Capture, Karl has falsely accused the team of murder and had them locked in a dungeon beneath the Yasta Monastery.
With the festival of Dargani fast approaching, and no way to contact Hubard or the rest of the Carbonari operatives, the team’s options are limited. Do they sit tight and wait for the right moment to act, or attempt to flee and risk exposing the other Carbonari in hiding at other Monasteries?
As with previous novellas in the Relissarium Wars series, there is an unexpected twist in the story that both surprises and intrigues the reader, keeping us eager to continue reading as more books are released. The monastery is attacked earlier than expected, but is it the Carbonari’s doing, or that of someone else?
Again this is another good story that is let down by some spelling and grammar errors. However, I wouldn’t let this stop you from reading War, as The Relissarium Wars series is composed of short novellas, which are easily read within a couple of hours and well worth the time it takes to do so.
I received an ARC of this book from Andrew C. Broderick and voluntarily chose to write this review.

I'm reviewing an advance copy of this book.
In War, our protagonists start at a very low end, thirsty, hungry and miserable. They get more irritable, but in that moment they start finding each other.
Their gifts become more important and it begins to become obvious that Theo's gift is not just healing.
The glitches that Cherish is experiencing might come from a bad healing, but they may also be the sign of starting to become more human.
But the time to explore this is over when war breaks. another betrayal happens and our heroes experience despair once more.
