This volume saw Holly at her worst and her best. People have become evil, hurting and killing for spite and revenge. It was also a story of intense hope and learning to let go of the past in order to have a future. Hated the cliffhanger at the end with Emma, but will be first in line to read the next book in this series.
Excellent reading. A Solar winter would be just like this. Being from the northern states and experiencing many power outages, I think they got it right and as we all know from the news each day, this is the kind of behavior even good people might turn to ,to survive.
This is an interesting storyline with some really not so bright characters. When Mike is traveling with some soldiers and one against the others and shoots his companions, no one bothers to pickup the dead soldiers rifles? Pretty damn dumb to me. Guns are better than knives anywhere, anytime.
The story gets very intense, but I have trouble reading about the animals slaughter and for no reason. I had to put the book down and go back to it later. The rest of the story is great
Yet again a heart pounding story which just keeps getting better and better with every book. I feel like I am right there with mike, holly and Alison and gina.
...book, story, but....... there are so many inconsistencies towards the end that it was frustrating!!! Hopefully, the next book will be better edited!!!
Don't miss the edge of this sharp as a razor book part IV! Blood runs freely and indiscriminately as Holly has decided that to kill first is the only way to survive, by murdering before these people can get Allison and Holly first, and rob them, she knows that this "kill or be killed" is the only way to survive this new fallen World. Surprised reunions might be in the cards, if a person that's supposed to be dead was really spotted!
