Rate this book
When a husband is married to his job, what can his wife do?

Book 1
Sharon Moskovitz is living the dream. She is a lawyer, mother of two beautiful daughters and happily married to Itay, a high-ranking electronics engineer... but something is missing in her life. Her happiness does not feel real, and her peaceful life in an affluent Tel Aviv suburb feels like an illusion. Her search for new thrills leads her to the world of online chat, and to an unbridled addiction she cannot control.

She goes on a crazy emotional journey of self-discovery, during which she is torn between her love for her husband - the father of her children - her religious upbringing, which forbids adultery, and the desperate want to fulfill her secret desires. Will she find her true love? Does she fulfill her own desires? The answers surprise even her.

Book 2
Sharon Moskovitz knows two things: she will no longer forgive her husband for allowing his work to take her place in his life; nor does she want to find love online.

Bitterly disappointed with the furtive online dating world, she discovers that the love she dreamed of is right under her nose. A routine visit to the doctor takes a surprising turn and Sharon finds herself at the center of a sensual love affair.

Will Sharon be able to handle her secret desires and her family?
This is the second book in the trilogy Confessions of an Abandoned Wife.

Book 3
After a long search and a passionate love affair, Sharon Moskovitz finds what she is looking for. Eric, the sweetheart of her youth, is just what she wants in a lover: he is handsome, he is interested and he is married. He is the ideal man for a secret love affair.

But Sharon realizes that this is not what she’s looking for anymore. She doesn't want to continue to be an unfaithful wife. She doesn't want to be number two for anyone. She wants to make sense of her life.

In the last book in the trilogy Confessions of an Abandoned Wife, Sharon will have to choose between Itay - who is still married to his work - and Manny, the charming doctor who stole her heart.

I loved this book! Confessions of an Abandoned Wife

Was so heartfelt and honest. I was so caught up in Sharon’s life that I was sad when the book ended.
Sharon, the main character shared her innermost feelings about her marriage and when and where it started to fall apart. She had two young daughters and had to make some very difficult decisions without much support initially from her family. The steps she took before her decision were intriguing.
I love reading about life in Israel and have experienced and have knowledge of the religious practices.
I don’t like to retell stories in a review but I highly recommend reading this wonderful book.

this is not the type of story I normally read, but it was interesting to say the least. Unwanted( or so she thought) and unloved, left alone with the care of their two daughters and the house. He worked long hours, and had no clue. He thought that was the way it was supposed to be. She tried talking to him,but was either brushed off or told she was crazy. She went looking first in the wrong place and then she stopped looking and it found her. read on to get the rest of the story. It is a good one.

I had a great time reading Michal Hartstein's book ! In fact, so good that I could hardly put it down. She taps into a subject familiar to many wives out there with a lot of honesty and sensitivity ! I'll definitely read her other books ...

A woman is a proclaimed adulteress.

“I have a husband, but he’s never around.” (3)

I thought this would be an interesting read of indecent proposal, but it was nothing but the whiny confessions of a lonely and cheating wife. It made for some blasé reading.

Emotional ride

While I don't see this as a 'contemporary romance' I do see this as a emotional roller coaster of a story. The palatable sadness and dissatisfaction is real.

An excellent read.

Book 1 - Sharon is a mother of two and is very unhappily married. She feels as though her husband is having an affair. With his job. He works constantly and no amount of begging, pleading and arguing will get him to take an active role in their marriage and the lives of their children. She becomes frustrated and seeks out the comfort of a lover. She joins a site, that allows for her to create a profile so that she can find a lover. She is scared and ashamed because her religion does not condone adultery. However, she needs more out of life than her husband is willing to provide. After two failed attempts at outside relationships, she is afraid that she will never find what she seeks. And she is afraid that she will never be able to open up to the possibility of happiness in a relationship outside of her marriage.

Book 2 - Sharon finally finds a lover that can give her what she needs. After a few months, there is a lot of deep affection and emotion between the two of them. Sharon feels guilty because of her marriage and the lies to her husband and children. This relationship takes a turn. Her lover wants Sharon for himself, and will not be satisfied with their current situation. When a person from Sharon's past comes back into her life, how will she handle her situations? Will she go with her lover? Or will she ultimately choose her family?

Book 3 - Wow. Part three sealed the deal for me. Sharon is confused about her life. She is ready to finally divorce her husband. But is she really ready to move forward with Manny. Eric causes additional confusion. Sharon takes some time yo do some soul searching. She wants to make sure that she is making the right decisions for herself and her family. Wonderfully written account of a woman's life. - I received an arc for an honest review

When I started with this set of books I was excited because it really caught my attention that the main character and also the writer herself had religious background.
I had a great time reading it, this books actually allow you to fully understand her and the decisions she makes as the story develops, every emotion that she felt was something I understood and could stand in her shoes, even with the relationships with her and Itay's family. But what I loved the most about the story was the ending, man that was a perfect way to end it. This book shows how complicated relationships can be, but after all what matters is to actually dare to live a life where you can be happy.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes romance, but let me tell you that this book goes far beyond just any love story and broken hearts, this shows how important it is to stand tall for yourself.

I actually read the first two books in the series and really enjoyed them! I loved the story and found the books to be different than what I usually read. I wanted to read the third book in the series, but I also realized that I loved the first two books in the series and wanted to reread them. I especially love boxed sets because it makes it so much easier to read through books that I really enjoy. I love starting the next book in the series after I finished the prior book. I loved reading about Sharon's discovery about her life. She had everything that she thought that she ever wanted, yet still couldn't find happiness. I loved the story and what Sharon learned about herself. The ending was so good and very unexpected! Highly recommend getting the boxed set.

This box set delivers a very satisfying and entertaining read. It's a very complex and multi-layered story. It also gives you a fascinating look into Israeli life. I really enjoyed reading the chat conversations. The stories themselves are quite dramatic and page-by-page we see Sharon taking more risks and pushing herself a little further. It's quite a character arc.

Overall this was a great read that I enjoyed. The writing is superb and I found myself re-reading a few chapters because they were so compelling. This is a book that's well worth your time and money and it's a story with depth that I recommend.

I had previously read a mystery novel by the same author, Hill of Secrets which is a murder mystery set in suburban Tel Aviv, Israel. Then this book was free, or almost free on Kindle so I started reading it and although it was not what I usually read, I could not put it down. It was written like a letter from a friend with more details about the main character, an unhappily married woman looking for romance online as her husband was neglecting her, than I really wanted to read. But I did enjoy learning about life of middle class people in Israel as I visited Israel last year and would like to go there again.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was so happy that is came in a boxed set and wouldn't have to worry about whether you have read one of the other books or not. I couldn't put it down once I started reading it and you won't either.
