Madness spread world-wide and there's no stopping it.
If you're symptomatic, you may go mad next!

Their cruise ship, Intrepid is running on fumes. There's only one place they can reach with the fuel they need. But the costs maybe too high.

And they better hurry, because when they run out, they’ll have no way to control the parasitics onboard, who are desperately driven to kill.

Even if they survive the next forty-eight hours, how could anyone ever be safe in a world where half the remaining population is symptomatic and can devolve into madness in an instant?

The captain has a plan, and it will shock everyone.

Read SYMPTOMATIC to find out the exciting conclusion to the MADNESS Chronicles Trilogy.

Hello lovers of apocalyptic thrillers!

I devour the same books I enjoy writing: science fiction, set in an apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic or dystopian world. I love stories about regular people being thrust into extra ordinary circumstances, and having to rely on their own cunning and that of others to survive. And I love a twist at the end.

My just released Ashfall Apocalypse, as well as previous series Madness, Highway and Stone Age are those kind of stories. They're fast moving, have some regular (and amazing) characters who must make life changing decisions, all while the world is experiencing an apocalypse.

Besides writing, my wife and I travel the world (often to research the next book). But often you can find me on a beach, Kindle in hand, with my Toes in the Water (name of my publishing company).

The End of the Series, but Not the End?

The characters have become so dear. TJ and Ted, the couple the lead the series are a wonderful coupe words last scene in the book was so bittersweet I still have years in my eyes. The final solution for the passengers of the Intrepid cruise ship and it's passengers, a mix of parasitic, infected/symptomatic and non-infected was genius. Some characters had happy conclusions, others we lost, and more surprises.

I don't want this to be the end of this landscape. I'd like to see the situation from another groups perspective elsewhere in the world. There are so many possibilities! There could be stories at in the future, and even stories set in the past (SPOILER!!!) Remember TJ and her encounter with the dogs and the perpetrator who had red eyes many years before the worldwide infestation?

Action, post-apocalyptic, horror, drama, romance, science all blended into a very fine read in this trilogy. Don't miss it! Especially if you have KU! I'm sad to hit the end, but excited at new prospects, even new authors contributing their voices to this well researched and formed world. Thank you, M.L. Banner!!

A terrifying conclusion to the MADNESS Chronicles! Who could guess!?! The parasite pest has been known for decades!

But nobody knew that an ancient virus thriving in the heart of volcanoes could combine with the parasite and result in the Rage Virus! At 99° the virus is activated and the simple scent of an uninfected could turn the host into a violent animal with a hunger for flesh. They can be identified by their blood red irises as they eat your face!

Aboard Regal European's Intrepid Ted and T.J. Williams work with the uninfected of the crew and passengers as try to survive on their floating isolation ward. Their greatest advantage (and a pretty big disadvantage) resided behind T.J.'s blood red irises. In her childhood, she had acquired the parasite from an animal attack. When she breathed the virus from a volcanic plume, she became symptomatic. Wearing sunglasses, a nose clip and skimpy, form fitting exercise clothes, T.J. is fine as long as she can keep her body temperature below 99°.

The parasite is real and has been around for a long time. The Madness could be possible. Your best defense is knowledge. Reading this trilogy is great survival tactics. So . . . read the MADNESS Chronicles it you wish to survive!

Mr. Banner has an amazingly creative mind. To turn a normal human into a superhuman is a step or two beyond regular old zombies, whom are dead and come back to life. Interesting that both species can be terminated by a shot to the head. Very much enjoyed the short series of three books and look forward to a fourth to see what can happen to the part superhumans and Ted and T.J.'s daughter. Someone should make this series into a motion picture.

SYMPTOMATIC: An Apocalypse Horror Thriller (Madness Chronicles Book 3)

Now I don’t want to spoil this for anyone by giving away anything, so I won’t. I’ll just say this was a really rather good third and final book to the trilogy I’m just not sure about the very ending. I’d love to ask ML Banner about it! But seriously this series was really good, full of action and suspense. 10/10.

An ending just for now

TJ being symptomatic is constantly trying to ignore the directions of the parasite and exert her free will. The boat has less than 24 hours of fuel left. The parasitics are becoming more organized and faster. When a broadcast tells of a nearby island willing to trade fuel for food hope arises. Some of the more cynical suspect a trap while others blithely forge ahead. In the end a distinct divide is made between the normal humans and the symptomatic.

Excellent

The battle to save the Intrepid gets more complicated as the crew bargains for precious fuel with an island of people. The true nature of the infection and its effects on humans become known. It is a bittersweet ending of the series, but with some happy moments and insight into the future. Great series!

Loved the series

I absolutely loved this series. the final book was great, and I do see plenty of room for more if the author chooses to extend the series. Which I can say I hope he does.

I read this series and enjoyed it. I will admit the third book in this series I struggled a little with it keeping my interest. The ending was very surprising. I assume someday the author will write a fourth book in this series.

Love this

There is a lot of danger for our survivors in this installment. The ship is low on fuel and there are still a lot of infected onboard. This is a truly wonderful tale and I hope the author considered writing more stories set in this universe.

Great Read

I loved this series and hope that the author will continue the story in another book. I really loved that there was hope for the infected, not through a cure but through strength of will and mind. I would love to see how the infected colony progresses.
