After giving up her life to save her child, Klarke Taylor finds herself, doing a life bid behind bars, for a crime she didn’t commit. With the clock ticking away in the fourth year of her imprisonment, Klarke is released from prison, and tries to pick up the pieces where she left them. Joylynn has delicately crafted a tale of desire, love, and revenge, which will melt the soul and touch the hearts of her readers.

When Souls Mate was a wonderfully, masterful work of art. I truly enjoyed the continous story of the 3 best friends and their ongoing quest for love in their lives. The twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat so many times. The ending through me for a loop, but the story was so realistic, that was the only way to go. Well done!

Imagine my surprise when I was browsing through the library and found this gem by an author who now writes Christian Fiction under EN Joy. I read this book and I thought it was great. Totally different genre from what she writes now, but an excellent read none the less. Another genre to add to my collection.

Another great read. I love how it was straight to the point, no overly describing things or situations. The story libes were not drawn out. She showed the story without it feeling to rush. I had mixed emotions throughout the entire book. It's is definitely one that once you start, you don't want to put down.

so last year, i put it in my dnf list, but hear me out. i got bored with reading about my current favorite delulu coke head and needed a palette cleanse. i love tubi movies. they’re a beautiful distraction from this bleak world that won’t give me a full time job. so when i found out that this is literally just a tubi movie in written form???? oh girl, i BINGED. slowest burn of your life. i thought this was going to be nothing but spice, but they give you drama, all the feelings, suspense, AND spice. i loved it. i take back my comments. i need more suspenseful urban fiction in my life.

Joylynn has done is again! Wow, Wow and Wow. This is what I call urban street-lit at its best, the characters, the plots, the twists, the lies, this book had it all. (must read "The root of all evil" first) to really appreciate and follow the storyline all the way to its Souls mate ending. After I finished reading these books I immediately ran out and purchased everything Joylynn Jossel has ever written lol...

I am looking at the other reviews and obviously some people are lost. if you have not read The Root of all Evil before reading this book then its no wonder you are lost and confused. the author did an excellent job of picking up where she left off and for those that say they read the first 2 chapters and then skipped to the end then you don't know what you are missing.
