In the past, Trane Valdez, Duke of Torren, has had no time for anything but cleaning up after Nico, the Crown Prince, and helping to manage his responsibilities for the crown. But when Seraphina steps back into his life, nothing else seems quite as important.
Just as Trane is committing to put their relationship first, Princess Seraphina Rolana is making plans to become an award winning journalist. Her first assignment? The Valdez family, Trane in particular. As soon as they think this might be the perfect opportunity for their relationship to grow, she discovers problems within Torren she feels duty bound to report, but these are issues that the press will jump all over and may expose Trane and his policies.
When Seraphina's sketchy connections show violent tendencies, Trane doesn't know if he can continue dating her or even involving her in his life. Can they weather her career, his protection of the crown and her violent connections in order to save a decade's long romance?
Sophia Summers is an award winning author who just wants to relax a little and enjoy a great beach read. She lives in a quiet southern town brimming with an extra dose of hospitality and a whole lot of charm.
She writes historical romance under a different name. The Billionaire Royals is her first contemporary romance series.
Seraphina Rolana and Trane Valdez have been friends since childhood. They've also been more but his work for the Crown seems to consume him. Now Phina has been handed a plum assignment as a reporter. She's to investigate the Valdez family and see if their efforts to clean up the environment are on the up and up. Meanwhile Trane decides it's time he tries to make a concerted effort to forge a real relationship with Phina until he finds out she's betrayed him and his family. Seraphina finds out too late that she's been the unwitting pawn of a radical environmental group. She sets out to correct the record but it may bee too little, too late in terms of her and Trane.
Seraphina and Trane have tried to make their relationship work before, but Trane’s obligations have left him too little time for making Seraphina feel she’s the main priority in his life. After witnessing his brother make his marriage work, Trane is committed to finding a way to make enough time for Phina in his life, no matter what it takes.
Seraphina is a reporter, and she’s been assigned to dig deep into the Valdez brothers as they get ready for the eco-summit spearheaded by Trane. Having her in Torren makes it easy for Trane to spend time with her, but her dedication to her job makes her motivations questionable, even suspect, as she develops potentially threatening alliances in her pursuit of all angles to the story.
Theirs is a solid love story, a little bit sassy and a lot more sweet, with just a dash of suspense. These are terrific characters set in a beautifully-developed fictional world. I did wish it was a bit longer, maybe more of their early history filled out and a bit more emotional depth, but it works well. I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of this book.
Trane Valdez is the brother of the King of Torren, a small seaside Mediterranean country. Seraphina is a princess of a nearby country and has known and loved Trane since they were children together but his busy schedule as a royal has always interrupted any meaningful relationship. She finally gave up and moved forward toward her goal as a journalist but whenever they see each other there is no doubt that the feelings between them are still alive. Trane is an avid ecologist and the upcoming summit he has planned is designed to advance a cleaner future for the Mediterranean. When Seraphina is approached by EcoFresh, a newly organized eco-group, that says they have “dirt” on the Valdez family regarding their environmentalism, she agrees to write an article exposing them if what EcoFresh says is actually true knowing that it may end any chance of a future that includes Trane.
This is a good Royal romance with likable characters. There is enough romance and drama to keep it interesting. It’s a good book for a rainy or snowy afternoon.
A great well written romance standalone in a series. The plot moves quickly with twists, drama, suspense, betrayal, danger lies, deception and romance while captivating you to the end. It is a second chance romance for Duke Trane and Princess Seraphina because he couldn't dedicate enough to keep relationship alive while always helping clean up his brothers messes. Now she is a reporter for the eco summit. Trane in in charge of the environmental aspect in his goverment and determined to get her back. An exciting definete need to have this short read as these to navigate to a HEA. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC.
A wonderful story involving the Duke, Trane, and the Princess, Seraphina. Phina is doing her best to become an established reporter. Her boss assigns her to cover the Environmental Summit in Torren. Her relationship with Trane is rekindled briefly. Trane has worked diligently trying to incorporate environmental changes in the Mediterranean countries. A group of hostile and violent demonstrators are given information by Phina. Can Phina and Trane come to trust each other and work together for the good of the environment and themselves?
I would forgive but not let her be a part of this family. She stepped over a line
This one was hard for me. I read it twice. With time in between and still feel the same. He gave up everything, was thrown under the bus by her, she chose to believe one side of a story, she put his people in danger by terrorist, she didn't give an inch and chose her job over him. She is not worthy.
This is the third book in this series of novellas. Although they are not full length books, they are fully developed stories and I really am enjoying them. This one deals with the problems when responsibilities get in the way of spending time with the one you love. There are other problems as well, but I'll leave that for you to find for yourself.
They had fallen in love during high school. She was a Princess, and he a Price, from different countries. They both had wonderful families. But their duties and jobs got in their way for a serious relationship
Sophia Summers has written another exceptional book. Love the way she interchanges the previous characters and new ones in this book. On to Book 4 The Duke's Brother.
Trane and Seraphina are star crossed in love,s so when Phina is assigned reporter's task to report on any dirt she can unearth to undermine the Save the environment summit, the Duke rejects any hope they can ever be a couple!!!
This is the story of Prince Trane and Serafina. Trane has spent his adult life countering any negatives by his brother, who has just been coordinated as King. This gives him an opportunity that has never been his before. Into his life comes another royal from a smaller country. As they get together again to see if they might have a chance at a more permanent relationship now, we get this story of the Duke, the second son. An enjoyable, clean read for most ages.
