Love her more than cookies
The author really brought on the humor with this book. I love how Scarlett is so flighty and feisty. She matches perfectly with her serious dragon. When they work together they manage to do incredible things. This story may be short, but it is the perfect holiday novella. I’m really looking forward to seeing what the author brings us next.

Omigosh, what an absolutely delightful and fun story to read! I don't think I've ever laughed so much while reading a book, so much wit and humour in one short story:) I loved it and it was a perfect read during the holidays.

Noel had been asked by three of the most renowned Guardsmen in history asked him for a favor. To go on a mission into what was referred to as the Frozen North. At six foot ten inches, he'd never before experienced anything he couldn't walk over .. Until now and he was freezing. But the man he was sent to look for was not only a personal friend of the mad dragon but the son of a god. During his trek he heard voices and came face to face with a sleigh being pulled down hill by what appeared to be a runaway reindeer trading vehement insults with an very grouchy elf knocking into him and leaving him dazed and unconscious.
You can tell by reading this storyline it was filled with the wonder of Christmas. Pure personalities full of a plethora of emotions, both good and bad, take control of these characters making parts of it like a comedy of errors leaving me chuckling out loud. Not to say there wasn't the expected angst and intrigue to keep the plot active, because there was. And don't let me forget to mention the fate of the Guardsman finding his mate, or vice versa as may be in this case. A truly joyful story you'll want for your collection.

You've got a dragon on a mission to find one of his own that have been missing for too long, a klutzy reindeer with enough sass to fill a Christmas sack, and the grouchiest elf in existence. Sounds intriguing enough, but add in the destined mates trope, some holiday spirit, and have it take place a ways from the North Pole makes for a delightful read when you're avoiding the family for some peace and quiet. This is the first book I've picked up in the Dragon Guards series, so there were a few things that I didn't completely get at first, but the further the story went, it cleared up my confusion. This is a good, short read that doesn't disappoint, and can be satisfying on its own or as a good sampler for the rest of the series.

Terrific and humorous shifter Romance
You know the old song :My Grandma Got Run Over By Reindeer" is the same, but different. The reindeer in question is Scarlet and the dragon is Nowell. He just discovered that she is his mate when she's zap and put him to sleep for 2 days.
He wakes up and finds another Dragon you chasing his mate and her friend Elroy, the elf. The dragon is sick, meaning he hasn't had another Dragon communication in centuries.
These characters R funny and intriguing. You just have to read this story by Julia Mills. I don't know where it fits in the timeline but it can be read as a stand-alone.
Highly recommended as a short read for Christmas enjoyment.

A fantasy and Fun read of a Dragon and a Reindeer shifters.

A very short but funny read, loved the title and the cover.
When on a mission with his brother, Nowell finds his mate in an unusual way.
Scarlett is a reindeer and on a run with her friend Grimm, yes, The Grimm, aka Elroy, when she runs right into Nowell, her mate, knocking him out.
Apart from the Christmas-isms which laughingly abound, I loved that we get one of the missing guardsmen Asher, making a quick appearance which will hopefully be leading to his own full-length story.
This is my honest review of this book.

With only close to 60 pages, a very very short story in the Dragon Guards series, in which Nowell is tasked to find a mad dragon in the far north, and instead stumbles upon the granddaughter of the famous Reindeer Vixen. And together they meet the mad dragon who is not at all pleased to see them.
A cute little romance in this series, it was way too short for my taste, and - unfortunately I have to say as usual - the editing leaves a lot to be desired. In all of this author's books, the are numerous grammar and spelling errors, and that's a pity.

A short read
This is a Christmas short read just 45 pages but I guess the author just wanted to put out a little treat for Christmas.nowell is looking for Asher (not heard about him before) he went missing 300 years ago I think so must be long before the others that's around 100 years for most of them.so unclear what happened or how they found out he was out from his cafe of sorts he had gone a little and being alone for so long.This book is just about finding him and nowell finding his mate Scarlett at the same time.(thankfully. No wedding words and pages and pages of sex)

Cute shifter read
Cute quick read with Dragons and reindeer shifters ..what's not to like about that? I love to read anything Dragon and throw in Christmas and hook me up. This was a fun read by Author, Julia Mills. I did get a little confused in parts but hey it might just be me...I am dyslexic . I am so behind in this series, movies a you could say I am Dragon . LoL. Winter books are the perfect me both for poolside reads especially right now Christmas in July. But I read Christmas all year long myself.

I have read this before, but I can’t remember if I got in an anthology or where I bought it.
It’s short, but fun. It will make more sense if you have read others in the series, but if you like shifters you will get the the gist.
Scarlett is a reindeer shifter who has problems pulling a sleigh.

This is a funny Christmas story with shifters.
I love the humor and sit of this story. Scarlett is a reindeer shifter. She is a strong and funny character. Nowell, a dragon shifter, is searching for a missing dragon. He gets a few surprises as his gated mate proved just because she is a reindeer does not mean she is weak.

loved it. is a very short story quick and fast to read but the interaction between Scarlett and Elroy is absolutely hilarious. the quick witted responses they throw at each other plus all the christmas references since they are at the north pole just makes u crack up.
highly recommend reading this book for a fast happy read that will make u feel great, smile, chuckle and warm your heart.

Dragon's fated mate
When searching for a lost dragon shifter Nowell had no idea that he would meet his fated mate. Scarlett knew as soon as she saw him that Nowell was her fated mate. Can this dragon and reindeer find their happy ever after and take care of a lost dragon. I would heartily recommend this book to all who love great romantic shifter tales.

Pretty Good!
For me this book was only pretty good as there wasn’t any good vs bad fight scenes.

Another hit in the Dragon Guard series.
This book features a sassy reindeer and her dangerously handsome dragon. The dialogue was witty and the story was really cute. I love sassy women and the strong sexy men who love them. You can't go wrong with this author and series!

This is a short but very good read. If you are looking for a Dragon book with a reindeer twist, this is it. One feisty reindeer and a very big Dragon. I've read a lot in this series. Julia Mills does a fabulous job.
