I honestly found this to be very repetitive, very repetitive, and having very little to do with recovery or the recovery process, or at least the recovery process I am aware of having been in recovery for some time now.
This 'miracle morning for addiction recovery' that is repeated over and over is simply a routine one learns when one is not so damn hungover that they actually have the ability to get out of bed in the morning and nothing more. There is nothing magical about it or any of the umpteen other 'routines' stated and played upon herein. It's utter nonsense in my opinion. To be honest I did all of these 'magical' things when I was in active addiction, they are simply mindsets and nothing more.
Just because one follows these ideas or guidelines or whatever else one refers to them as does not mean they will become successful, more engaged in their lives than when they were using, more accepted by the masses, those that do not have addiction issues. It does not make tomorrow any different from today and the simple fact that anyone in recovery can use at any time in their recovery and then what? They start all over again....
I'm glad this has worked for as many people as this has according to this book. I also find it odd this particular version I am reading has only 1 review and 2 ratings and one is by one of the authors/contributors of this book.
I have read many books on recovery and have also published two books on the subject myself, many of which I have highly recommended, this is not going to be one of those.

Some great takeaways:
Addiction is a response to trauma. It is an ineffective solution.

The opposite of addiction is CONNECTION!

Start everyday with a Purposeful, disciplined, growth-infused and goal oriented morning!

The most important factor in determining how you live life is how you start your day!

Last thoughts before going to sleep should be your intentions!

EARN YOUR MORNING SHOWER!

Morning questions to self:

Who are we going to meet today?

What are we going to learn today?

Who are we going to help today?

How much fun will we have today?

SAVERS: Silence, Affirmations, Visualization, Exercise, Reading, Scribing.

Harvard study shows 8 weeks of meditation increases Grey matter density in the hippocampus which increases learning, memory, compassion and introspection.

The view you adopt of yourself profoundly affects the way you lead your life!

Repeatedly reinforce to yourself what result you want, why it is important, what actions to take to get the result, and when you will do those actions allows the subconscious to shift your beliefs and behaviors.

Visualization triggers mirror neurons.

Visualize the action that gets the reward, not the reward.

You playing small does not serve this world!

Everything is difficult before it becomes easy!

Be aware of the rear view syndrome (life life in the past).

Where you are is a result of who you were, where you go depends entirely on the person you choose to be from this moment forward!

Effective People on recovery have SYSTEMS!

A FOUNDATIONAL SCHEDULE is key to maximizing focus and productivity.

Creating a foundational schedule that gives structure and intentionality to your days and weeks will make your life incredibly easier.

Start placing significantly more value on the health and energy consequences of the foods you eat than you do on that taste or emotional needs.

Unwavering focus makes you more effective, more efficient, and more productive!

BUILDING FOCUS:

What's working that I should keep doing?

What do I need to start doing to accelerate results?

What do I need to stop doing that's sabotaging growth?

Psychologist Alexander study of Ratopia (where community is) vs isolation and lonely rats took 19x morphine that the ones in community.

THE OPPOSITE OF ADDICTION IS CONNECTION!

The best book I have read on PD in a long time

I read the beginning over and over because who wants to wake up early? Finally one day I made it to the SAVERS and thought, 'it's not scientology, I can at least give it a shot.' So I have yet to do all 7 but I can tell you the benefits have come through. The 2nd part of the book has to deal with unhealthy habits, emotions, etcetera that people with substance use disorder typically develop and addresses how we can use TMM to deal with those pitfalls. All in all I can not recommend this book enough if addiction isn't your thing they have a slew of other ones.

I enjoyed and welcomed the ideas presented in this book. I have always thought of myself as a morning person, but it was never really something where I took control of the day, set my attitude; I was up early and began being reactive. Having established a morning routine this year, I am seeing the benefits of having one and can only wish I had known this and established these principles earlier in my recovery. I think that many others could benefit from reading this and manifesting these suggestions in some fashion. Progress, not perfection.

Not worth to read it

I have read previous series books but found out this book not worth to read it as almost repeating the same paragraph within all the book.

If you have read the previous books of TMM you definitely can skip this book.

I find this to be a great way to start my day. It is simple and straight forward making it easy to implement. I have noticed a more positive difference in my day to day attitude and increases everyday. Now most of my days are good days and I now look forward to starting the day.
