Running🏃, Running🏃
This book📑 is well written and flows along well, but I disliked the female character, Skye💃💋. There is a difference between being proud and being just plain stupid.
Over and over she refuses the help of friends,and Colin🐺🍆🌋, her billionaire love interest. And over and over she gets into trouble, each time worse than the last. Not my type of romance.

Runaway is a quick read about insta-love. Colin West is a self-made millionaire or billionaire who found success in real estate. He meets the lovely Skye Slade at the front desk of a dance studio when he is dropping off the daughter of his assistant. He is immediately smitten with her and asks her on a date, but she declines because she doesn’t date the dads of clients. He’s not the dad though, and continues to pursue her in a most charming way. Colin in this story is pretty much perfect. He is wealthy, handsome, smart, generous, considerate, a hero to her, thoughtful, patient, and a friend when she needs one. Skye survived a horrible childhood and has pretty much been on her own for the past 8 years. I admire her independence, drive and passion, and you route for her and hope she gets the happy ending she deserves.
Skye dreams of being a dancer and has not been able to take lessons for the past 8 years because of her circumstances. She doesn’t always make the best choices when a thug starts stalking her, and she lies to her boss which I didn't like, but Colin is by her side every step of the way. At first it’s hard for them to open up to one another, but they eventually do trust one another and their relationship turns serious.
Although I liked the two of them together and am glad they had their happy ending, I didn’t feel as if she was truly drawn to him. I feel like she was so appreciative and polite and just happy that her life was almost normal and that she had someone to care for her. Colin was very patient with her as she worked through her issues which I admired. He even took time off work because her welfare came first to him. I did feel his attraction to her and his need to take care of her, but it too, was very polite and not very dramatic; it wasn’t the passionate desire that you may read in other books.
SPOLER ALERT: I was confused in the epilogue when she was dancing at a competition and they announced her as Skye Slade. I would assume since it was two years later, they would have been married and she would have taken his last name since her father was so abusive to her.

All Skye wants to do is pursue her dream of becoming a dancer. Though her alcoholic drug addict abusive father has other plans. One night changes everything. She runs away with his drug money. Eight years later she is still trying to make her dream become reality. She gets a job at a prestigious dance studio. Her first day she meets this handsome man named Colin. Colin is taken by her beauty that he takes a chance and ask her out. He is persistent even though she turns him down. She believes that she isn’t worthy due to her past. Colin makes her realize that she can doing anything she is determined and passionate about. Colin is such a understanding gentleman that doesn’t judge her. If she can ever overcome her demons in the past. If she can succeed in her dream of dancing and maybe find love in the process.

4.5 Stars! There is Skye who has been running for her life since she was seventeen. She had to get away from her alcholoic addict of a father and took something that belonged to him and left. Years later she is struggling and misses what was most important to her growing up, dancing. She takes a job at a studio teaching dance and meets an alpha male, Colin. There was an instant attraction between the two of them and he falls in love at first sight. He can't stop thinking about her. He is a good guy and treats her well. When her past comes back to haunt her will she trust him to help her or will she run again? This is a good quick read! Enjoy!!

A sexy and suspenseful build up
Runaway by Ellie Danes is a least paced read that is one continuous build up of suspense and romance. I enjoyed the storyline of Skye and Colin, two absolute sweethearts!
The suspense was two fold; Skye’s past rearing it’s ugly head as well as the romance and sexual tension between Skye and Colin.
Both characters in this book are engaging and open, it was refreshing.
Overall a good read, captivating storyline and adorable characters.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book. Another amazing read by Ellie. Skye has not lived the best life possible. In a possible situation, she takes off and not empty handed, drugs and money from her father and gets far away. Her passion is dancing, it soothes her, and one day she wants to do it professionally. When Skye and Colin meet, the attraction is undeniable and intense. All she wants is to have a happy life, but when her past comes back to haunt her will they be able to survive together or will she run?

This was such a beautiful book. I absolutely adored Colin. There really should be more people like him in the world. He is absolutely perfect for Skye. She had such a rough life up until she met Colin. They shared a beautiful story that was almost hijacked by a thug. It was beautifully written and I loved the ending! I would highly recommend you read this book!

Skye had a horrible childhood and when she had the chance she ran away. She dreamed of being a ballet dancer but works at a studio where she meets Collin. When her past comes back to haunt her will she trust Collin to help her? This is a fast-paced read with plenty of drama and an entertaining story. I really liked the characters, they had great chemistry and the story held my interest throughout. A good read.

I enjoyed this book. There was mystery, misunderstanding, love, and comedy.
The characters were developed nicely and you had a feeling of knowing them during the book. I enjoyed it enough that I am ready to read the next one in the series.
Skye and Colin come from two different worlds but find out that they truly need each other and find true happiness when with one another and of course something always threatens them.

This a quick and enjoyable read. Skye and Colin make a very sweet couple. Skye has baggage from a very awful childhood but she is strong and determined. Colin is just a great guy. He's kind, caring and falls for Skye instantly. This romance also offers a bit of suspense. I am voluntarily posting an honest review.

Emotional tale of adversity and the strength needed to survive. Independent Skye meets the caring Colin and learns that when there is love, support and trust are part of the deal. Skye continues to hold her secrets close, but when her past looks like it is catching up with her, will Skye be able to open up and let Colin help her, or will she keep running? 💋

This was an interesting story! I enjoyed the story-line and characters but I did find somethings that were a little unrealistic. I love Ellie Danes stories and although this is not my favorite from her I did enjoy the overall story. I thought Skye and Colin were a great match with wonderful chemistry!

A little boring
I found this quite a boring little story without much substance to it, troubled young woman meets hot wealthy man has a few hiccups that said man helps her with also helps her achieve her dreams they go on to their happy ever after end of story. The writing felt stiff and formal and lacked any passion and depth of feeling, sorry this one did not do it for me.

One of a gazillion stories to unfurl in Manhattan
It’s always nice to have a good story about unlikely matchups and this is no exception. Well written, good characterization, and a very healthy dose of romance for a Happily Ever After ending. I will defyread more by this author.

Just eh
It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. The writing was okay and the plot was fine but there wasn’t anything amazing about it. One steamy scene that wasn’t particularly well written. Every time a profit margin was written for Colin I wanted to laugh (you could make it a drinking game). The ending was pretty lame.

Loved this beautifully crafted book, the rawness, the strength to overcome, the sense of loss & the fact that life still kicks you when you're at your lowest but pride & strength & above all love wins through in the end. Sigh! Highly recommended.

A very nice, sweet story.
I like Skye and Colin. I like how their relationship grows. Skye works hard to build herself a better life. Colin likes how she wants to do things for herself. He encourages her in her dancing. Skye's past threatens their love .

This is a wonderful romance. It tells of struggle and hope. Skye seems to have had very bad childhood, but she is strong willed and self sufficient, making her the woman she is today. She always seems to make the best of a bad situation. Colin is her Prince Charming and is caring, loving and loyal. The perfect hero.
The drive to dance, and the struggle in Skye's life, make this story very heartwarming.

Colin, a billinaire bachelor, meets Skye while dropping his assistant's daughter at dance class. Once they meet sparks fly but will the mistakes of her past be too much for Colin to handle.
I loved the story. There was just enough romance, drama and intrigue to keep my attention.

Not For Me
2.5 stars. I had to push myself to read this and I kept wondering if I was reading a different book based on all the glowing reviews? There was no spark, no chemistry between the two. Sorry I don’t like giving low reviews as I know the authors put time into writing but this was just not for me.
