Filthy Marcellos, Complete Collection-
Their life, their love and their family are what make the Marcello’s an unstoppable mafia family. They pull you into their saga, the good, the bad, and the amazing bond they all have. You become invested in the entire Marcello Family. From Antony and Cecelia to their boys, to their daughter-in-laws, to their grandchildren- the family is the most important thing in their life. Their connection and love for one another supersedes any and all problems. Together they can do it all. They all become imbedded and invested – they are a family I fell in love with. Each story became a favorite. I’m a fan of Mafia stories. I love the fierce love and protection they have for their family. They are passionate and fierce, they are ruthless and tender and most of all they protect their own.

I know this collection is long. Don't let it scare you. You can take each story and enjoy. They do not need to be read back to back like I did. But once you start don't say I didn't warn you about the Marcello family being entirely addictive and hard to put down.

Book 1- Antony Marcello
 photo Antony_zpsdb3emzzj.jpg
The Italian Mafia.........The Cosa Nostra........when spoken about there are so many possibilities........death, love, family, rules to live and die by, murder, and coverup. Mobster, their life and their families are so very fascinating.

This is the story of Antony Marcello- a Made Man and his rise in the Familia. It's about his character and who he is and what he stands for. He has given his life for the family but it doesn't mean it will take his values. We meet the love of his life Cecelia. The love, the true love they have for another is both sexy and "for always". I loved Antony and Cecelia and their boys.

This is the perfect set up, the perfect background for The Filthy Marcellos as their boys become men and navigate The Marcello Cosa Nostra.

Book 2 Lucien
 photo Lucien_zpsawvennya.jpg
The Marcellos continue with the boys as adults. First up is Lucien. There is something about Lucien that grabs you and doesn't let go. He is strong and fierce and loyal yet he has a past that stays with him and troubles him at times. But when he meets Jordyn by accident, she makes an instantaneous mark on him. She too has a troubled past and it has stayed with her. As property of The Sons of Hell, her life is on a downward spiral. But when the Marcellos have issues with The Sons of Hell, Lucien and Jordyn meet again and their journey begins together. He has found his Principessa but MC property and the Mafia don’t mix. But Lucien and what he feels for Jordyn will test the values of The Cosa Nostra.

I love the family dynamics of the Marcellos. Lucien's story is very heartfelt. He has been through so much but he has the love and protection of his family. He's 27 yrs old but he will always be the son of Cecelia and Antony Marcello. Being a Marcello means everything and his family is there with him through everything.

Book 3 Giovanni-
 photo Gio_zpsybrhnjp3.jpg
The baby of the family. And as the baby, you get lots of attention no matter your age. Gio is 25 and the one that turns his parent’s hair gray. He's smart and street savvy. He plays hard and he's an impressive Capo. If he could only get his life in order and stop the partying, his family wouldn't have to worry about him.

Gio has a one night stand with a beautiful young woman he meets at his brother’s wedding. He knows he should find out who she is but she is too much for him to resist. Their one night is so memorable that Gio breaks a rule of The Cosa Nostra. One that is punishable by death but one that he had no choice to commit. For love sometimes makes one careless to a fault and her name would be Kim Abella.

Kim and Gio’s journey is dangerous. She is engaged to a mean and nasty made man from another family in Las Vegas. They should run from one another but they can’t. But not running can also kill them. Can they survive their love will be the true test? But of course his family is here and there but this time Gio must be a true man and fix things as only a Marcello can.

Book 4 Dante
 photo Dante_zpsgo197dvi.jpg
Dante Marcello, the oldest son of Cecelia and Antony, is the Underboss of The Marcello Famiglia, a successful business man in his own rights and unmarried. In order to become Don of the Marcello Cosa Nostra he must be married. Dante doesn’t believe in love, he has nothing to offer a woman so what he needs is a marriage of convenience and when Catrina Danzi appears before him offering just that, Dante’s quest of being Don becomes reality. Catrina “Cat” is a successful Queen Pin who needs Dante. She doesn’t want love; she wants the protection, help, and power that come with the Marcello name.

Dante and Cat’s story is combustible. They are both greedy and hungry and want power but there is also an attraction, a hot and fiery one. Their story of being just partners works for awhile until their desires and feelings for one another gets in the way. It’s too powerful and desirable to ignore and they jump in and they are truly a force to be reckoned with. But secrets threaten to destroy what they have built and destroy the family. But Dante, his brothers and Cat battle together for the good of the family.

I loved Dante and Cat- both are strong and stubborn and are truly made for one another. It's not easy but their journey to becoming a family is made of love and commitment.

Legacy Prequel-
The grankids………..the family continues. Johnathan, Andino, Catherine and Lucia are all grown up and have their lives to lead. So the legacy continues and it promises to be full of fire. But their parents and grandparents are still here and have voices too. I can’t wait for the Marcello family to continue; after all they have become family to me!!

The Filthy Marcellos: The Complete Collection comprises of the short novel Antony, the three full length novels Lucian, Giovanni, and Dante, and the prequel to the Legacy series, featuring the Filthy Marcellos next generation! This box set is overflowing with Mafia Princes, sexy reading and made men finding the loves of their lives. La Cosa Nostra is their life; the Marcellos are born to rule and own their legacy convincingly. There are bosses, sons, husbands, lovers, made men, fathers, and killers all layered within the pages of each sexy story. A story that has scorching erotic scenes that are super HOT and peppered tantalizingly within the prose.

Told in the third person narrative the reader garners the full view of the important characters. As each individual story unfolds we learn of the respective hero's life and the women whom attract their attention in an all-consuming way. The stories are predictable loveliness which, in many ways, makes them easy reading despite the dark subject matter showcased throughout, including violence and drugs.

The heroes and heroines in each of the stories presented have something special to offer readers, they certainly captured my attention and kept me interested enough to discover how their stories ended. There are moments if I'm brutally honest where my attention wondered, usually during the middle of the books, but the author always pulled me back in and made me care for the outcome of each individual couple making this boxset super Mafia Romance reading !

4.5 "Be Filthy." Stars

Going into the Filthy Marcellos: The Complete Collection I hadn't read a book penned by author Bethany-Kris. After having read two of her novellas and three books I can definitely say I'll be reading more. Included in this collection is a prequel novella that tells the story of Anthony, Father to the three men highlighted in the main books of the Collection, Lucian, Giovanni, and Dante. Each man vastly different in their own rights for their own reasons yet each man still upholding the values and rules of the family they were born into and continue carrying the proud legacy of the Marcello Family name.

Each book delves into the underground of the Mafia subculture. They are testaments to the strength of family, to the sanctity of marriage, and to the bond of brotherhood. While upholding these ideals we get many glimpses into the "filthy" side each Marcello has flowing through their blood. Rich in uniqueness every Marcello carries certain weights of their own world and each carries these weights as the move toward finding someone to spend their dirty lives with until the end. No easy feat considering the mafioso is their life. But each man first spots that dream girl it's no holds barred for all of them. Watching these made men wade through becoming a made man in love was highly enjoyable, passionate, and a great escape into the mafia world. There were a few times in the stories where I thought certain things wouldn't exactly fall into mafia rules, each brother stretches the boundaries and pushes the limits but these things never detracted me from the stories. It's Bethany-Kris's mafia and she can do with it what she pleases. And as she pleases led to very entertaining circumstances when all the Marcello men were brought to their knees by very capable, strong women.

Also included in this Collection is a novella at the end aptly named Legacy. For me, this novella was an epilogue with good things to come type read. It shows where this family has gone and where it's going to go. Carrying through it the main theme of family like all of the previous books readers get a birds eye view into the future. Promising and forthcoming, Bethany-Kris gave readers a great gift with Legacy and I can't wait to learn more about this mafia family.

While each book in this series could be read as a stand alone, I'd highly recommend reading in order and reading them all. If you like stories that continue on a with one family's drama and progression but each book portraying different main characters, the Filthy Marcellos is definitely for you. This Complete Collection definitely takes a bit of time to get through but for me thanks to the great story-telling and excellent third person POV writing of this author it wasn't a hardship at all to fall in love with each filthy Marcello man.

Overall wanted more oomph to the stories. Book 2 is the only one I want to re-read at some point.

Book 1: 3 MEH STARS

This read gives us the story of the patriarch and matriarch of the Marcellos clan – Anthony Marcello and Cecelia. Cecelia is the eldest daughter of the Boss, and Anthony falls for her instantly.

The Costa Nostra expects all within to give their life for the family, to put the family above all else, at times how this played out and the expectations of the Boss had me wrinkling my nose in a small amount of disgust.

I have to say I finished this book thinking why the hell didn't Cecelia's horrid sister get her just desserts and finished hoping karma would bite her in the next book.

Book 2: 3 STARS

This book focuses on adopted son Lucien Marcello and the woman who ensnares his attention, Jordyn. With the biker who was protecting her dead, the dirtbag President of the MC Jordyn belongs to is gunning for her. He has her brutally beaten and the tattoo showing she is protected burnt off her. Lucien is determined to protect Jordyn, but when it becomes clear, someone is also determined to get rid of him, things get even more complicated.

The bikers in this were pathetic and revolting on so many levels.

I liked Lucien and how protective he was, and how he didn't give a hoot what anyone thought when it came to Jordyn.

Potential Triggers:

Book 3 – 2.5 TEPID STARS

Giovanni (Gio) Marcello is the baby of the family, and at 25 has still got his father worried. He's a good Capo but still partying hard. When he has a one night stand with a lovely young woman he meets at his brother's wedding, he doesn't realise how complicated his life is going to get.

Blackmailed into saying yes to marrying an abusive and horrid douchebag Kim's one night with Gio is meant to be a night where she gets to make a choice, what she doesn't count on is seeing him again.

Gio's feelings for Kim and determination to get her out of the shit she finds herself in has Gio breaking a rule of The Cosa Nostra. One that is punishable by death, but he is damned if he will leave the woman he loves.

Kim's dad was a jerk.

The sense of tension and danger that should have manifested just didn't here.

Potential Triggers:

Book 4: 2 STARS

Dante Marcello, the firstborn (biological) son of Cecelia and Antony, is the Underboss of The Marcello Famiglia. In order to become Don of the Marcello Cosa Nostra, since his dad wants to retire, he must be married. When Catrina (Cat) Danzi appears before him offering him what he needs, Dante finds himself entering a marriage of convenience with a woman who is more than a little dangerous and who is holding secrets that will have peril coming to his and his family's door.

For her part Cat is a successful Queen Pin who doesn't want love, she wants the protection, help, fear and power that come with the Marcello name.

I struggled to connect with the heroine in this, and the connection between the MCs was one I didn't really feel.

Some skim reading occurred.

Potential Triggers: Kidnapping of a child. Reference to domestic violence.

Book 5 – Novella: 3 OK STARS

This novella introduces the grandkids. It looks like grandkids Johnathan, Catherine, Andino and Lucia will be getting their own stories.

Well, well... Such is the legacy that is The Marcello clan!

OVERALL Rating: 5 ★

I read the stories within back-to-back, without break, and i just wanna say, what a ride! The story of the Marcello clan, from Antony's rise to power to each of his sons making his mark in the world of the Cosa Nostra.

It really is like reading a saga. It's got passion, violence, love, action, values and redemption. While each book was not a total winner, which I will go thru in more details later, I love the overall impact it left on me, and made me glad I requested for this. For a first Bethany read, it was definitely a winner. Seeing this romance, Bethany gave me a sizzling one. For a mob romance, I got exactly what I was hoping for. She gave me these men who live outside the law who love the women in their lives with all they have, understand the meaning of family, are violent in their thoughts and actions where warranted, do right by their women and their people when called for, and adhere to certain moral codes that felt appropriate in the most ironic way. In short, the perfect antiheroes. Sigh... Then the women who love these men with as much passion, understand the life that these men lead, and equally strong in their own rights. Women whose decisions might seem questionable to the outside world but somehow understandable at the same time. Sigh...

Antony : 4 ★
The prequel to the series. The patriarch of the clan. As a capo, he's got fire in his belly. Along the way, met the boss' daughter, Cecilia, and fell in love. From a capo, he moved on to be the boss. And so began the legacy of the Filthy Marcellos.

Antony is ruthless and very ambitious. But he also looks after the people he love. And Cecelia is the perfect woman to stand next to him, the perfect matriarch.

Lucian : 5 ★
This is my most fave of all.

Lucian is a made guy, he's got everything he needs and wants. A brief glance of Jordyn was all it took for her to embed herself in his psyche. He has his own demons to slay brought on by childhood experiences. Jordyn is living her nightmare courtesy of her mother. She found her refuge in Lucian. And in turn, Lucian, found his kindred spirit in her.

Given what Jordyn has gone thru, there was an understated strength to her and I love how feisty she got when it involved Lucian. I love how Lucian took care of Jordyn and gave her exactly what she needed. I love the honesty between them. And while it started as insta-attraction, nothing felt contrived.

Giovanni : 3.5 ★
Probably my least fave of all, unfortunately.

Gio, the youngest of the Marcello, had his hard-partyin' ways all this time until he met Kim one night. That one night was just supposed to be just one night. But I suppose fate has other things in mind because he met her again. Kim felt the same. And she was spoken for, how about that! But I suppose the heart wants what the heart wants.

I had a slight difficulty relating to these 2. Not that they're bad characters. But I didn't fully understand their motivations. It all felt like first world problems, albeit within the context of the mob world.

Regardless though, somehow Bethany sold me their chemistry and I actually thought they have the hottest. How about that!

Dante : 5 ★
Next to Lucian's story, this is the closest next fave.

Dante is the oldest of the Marcello sons. There are expectations laid on him, a lot of pressure on him, being the next successor to the Marcello legacy. Because of a childhood incident, Dante knew what he can and can't offer. In came Cat, who is pretty much his female counterpart, total badass of a chick!

I love how their relationship evolved, from a business partnership to friendship to a sizzlin' union. I love how they got each other. I love the lack of guile between them.

Cat has her own dilemma to deal with, which somehow tied in nicely with what she and Dante are faced with, so for it to work nicely in the end, I couldn't have thought of a better ending.

The epilogue was perfect! Not just for both Dante and Cat, but for the entire Marcello clan.

I tell ya, these Marcello men! Heart!

Legacy : 3.5 ★
And a glimpse into the next generation of the Marcellos, 2 sons and 2 daughters. Each with their own challenges. Each with their own very strong personalities, even the quiet one, yes. I am looking forward to reading them and getting more immersed in their world.

The Filthy Marcellos Series is by new to me author Bethany Kris. The series is about a mafia family, the heroes are actually anti-heroes and they are not afraid to straight up say they are bad men. While the men are definitely bad, when it comes to their family and the women they end up falling in love with they are 100% dedicated and protective. The books are all nicely paced; they have plenty of appearances by all the family members in each book. One thing I love about the books is while they are just a little dark, but not disturbingly so, they show the relationships between all members of the family, the bond the family has and the relationships of each of the couples. One note, if you have decided to stay away from recent mafia books because they are too dark, you might want to try these, they were all published in 2015 which is before some dark books started getting to where, in my personal opinion, it seems the author is putting in gratuitous violence to try to see how much they could shock the reader.

I have spent the last few days binge reading this series and have found it hard to put down for work or sleep! I’ve loved being immersed in the Marcello family and cannot wait to read more by Bethany Kris!

These were meh.

The first novella introducing the parents was good. The second book gave us more insight to Lucian, who was by far the most interesting brother. He definitely met his future wife in the worst possible way, but they were good for each other.

Gio and Dante were boring. I skipped most of Gio's book and just read the epilogue. I skipped a good third of Dante's; only Catrina was really interesting.

All come with epilogues, and there's another novella at the end introducing the kids, with what seemed like unnecessary drama in order for Kris to continue the series. But it must not have gone over well because I don't see any indication of more books.

Overall I was disappointed because a series about mafia men who enjoyed the mafia, wanted to stay in the mafia, weren't cruel or unnecessarily vicious, and actually lived their SOs was something I was so looking forward to, and this series just didn't deliver.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLANT!

I am addicted to any and all mafia related stories, so of course, I'm always on the lookout for new stories that I can sink my teeth into. Sometimes I'm not that lucky and end up reading some mob-themed romance that doesn't fully satisfy my craving. Then there are other times that I am blissfully surprised when a story grabs me in such a way that I need more!! The Filthy Marcellos series fed my addictions wonderfully. This Cosa Nostra saga was incredible from the very beginning! I loved everything about it, from Don Antony and his rise to being the head of this crazy family to the complicated Lucian, to the very careless Giovanni and of course the very calculating Dante and his Queen Pin! Well written and thought out plots that kept me guessing at times was exactly what I look for in this type of book. Ms. Bethany-Kris now has a fan for life and I can't wait to read what the next generation of these filthy Marcellos will get themselves into. Loved it and well worth these 5 stars!!

Not gonna lie ... What attracted me to read this box set was two sentences in the blurb:
Family first. God second.
and
You can't be a Marcello if you're not filthy.

And I'm glad I did because it was well worth it!

Antony (Filthy Marcellos, #0.5): This is the prequel to the Filthy Marcellos. It sets the stage, if you will. It introduces the players, the dynamics and the ridiculously filthy sexy times to come :)

Lucian (Filthy Marcellos #1): Lucian comes into the family thru adoption. At seven years old, on the streets, he's taken in by Antony Marcello when he finds in in an alley. It's history from there. Because in this culture, blood is not defined by DNA. Lucian is a protector. I am so ridiculously attracted to these types of stories. Everything about Lucian was mesmerizing to me. The problematic journey of Jordyn and Lucian was intense and captivating. I read their story non-stop! (I actually read the box set almost non-stop lol).

Giovanni (Filthy Marcellos #2): With Giovanni's story you get not only the passion on the family as a whole, but also the passion of what is forbidden as well. You see, Giovanni has decided the woman he wants is a woman he shouldn't have. The daughter of his father's worst enemy. A woman already spoken for by another. But he's a Marcello. And what a Marcello wants .... This story hooked me on the explosive nature of its forbidden roots. On the surface, Kim leaves something to be desired. But if you pay attention, she will pull at your heart-strings just as she pulled on Gio's! #TRUST And it will be worth the ride! :)

Dante (Filthy Marcellos, #3): Dante's story was the most fun of all for me to read. I say fun because, seriously, did they really think their scheme would even work?! LOL Two people who despretly need each other for survival but decide that keeping it platonic is the way to go ... really?! As you will read ..... it doesn't go as expected but it goes OH SO SWEETLY! ;)

I cannot say this enough ... if you love a good mafia story, then search no more because this will definitely hit the spot! I am a ridiculous fan of The Godfather and if I was to compare the drama, passion, suspense and tension of it to The Filthy Marcellos, it would be really really spot on! These men live hard and love even harder! I seriously recommend this series! #TRUST

This series started out great, lacked in the middle then fizzled but it's got some five star books.

Antony- is absolutely 5 star. The author included all the best elements of the mafia including the Catholic Church, which is what binds Italians and Irish even together so much in the mafia. I loved everything about this story down to the h. They were a brilliant love story.

Lucian- is a 5 star. Swoons, romantic, mafia hero. I loved Jordyn as well. It's also suspenseful without forgetting it's a romance and we see more of the family in real daily situations as well as danger. I liked that a lot. Loved the brotherhood and completely fell for Dante here.

Gio- 4 star. I wasn't crazy about Kim. I was meh. I never really got into the romance and the drama was ok, but the Dante scenes for me were the best part, it was gearing up I thought to be a great new boss book.

Dante- 3 star. Bummer. That was the word. I didn't like the h at all. I thought she sucked the life out of my alpha man. Overtook it. Didn't believe in it. Completely crushed my heart story. It happens though. I really wanted him to have a son, since him and Antony were my fav. But....

Legacy- I'm not crazy about reading jonathons story. Catherine's fine, I like her paired w/ Cross. Lucia, eh maybe.

But alas! Could I get my Antony back? In Andino? It certainly feels that way! I will say it's time for multi colored hair to be retired. That trend is lasting way to long. Sorry, im over it. I hope like heck, she brings back some traditions and children. These Italian Americans are Catholics, they should be having larger families if possible. Avg is 4.5 per family. Really looking forward to Andinos story, for the very fact that he seems most like Antony and I'd love to see this fictional family in good shape in my fictional mind.

Well written, good supporting characters, recommended.

I am so furious with this author right now. This is not her first book. She’s been around for a while. This book was over 10 bucks in Canada. The stories had potential and were pretty captivating but the author basically sold us a draft for book prices. This book has 4 stories and each is filled up with many sentences that make no sense, ex: “You’re welcome. It’s going to rot with me. I have better things to do.” === ???? Makes no sense - - I have a long page full of examples like this. Did the author even read this book after translating? Was it translated? How does an author make such ridiculous mistakes like this? I’m putting ‘some’ of them in the note section and this is only some. Many sentences make absolutely no sense, wrong words, wrong tenses, it is ridiculous. When a book is this sloppy, it’s like stealing. I read the singles too and they are the same so she just copied the same unedited work and sold it again. So unprofessional and what really sucks, the stories were pretty good, but this shows nothing but blatant disregard and disrespect to paying readers! Shame on you!

This book has not been edited. It is in pathetic shape. Over 100 mistakes found. Wth is this author thinking. I am so disappointed and frustrated. This is a decent story but the author has sold it in draft shape. This is close to being one of the worst! I’ve set aside over 100 edits _ wrong words ie public bone instead of pubic bone - wrong tenses, missing words and sentences that make absolutely no sense whatsoever. I bought this book because I thought this author was well known and had good ratings. This book was over 10 bucks, it has over 100 edits! That is just ridiculous. Paying readers deserve books that are properly edited and proofed - that is your job! Many of the edits are I. The notes session on goodreads. What’s worse, this is a box set. Unfortunately, I had the displeasure of realizing that all these stupid mistakes are also in the 4 single books as well as the boxset so the author sold the same books in the same sloppy shape with no proofreading or editing twice for each book. You should be ashamed at yourself - basically it’s ripping readers off.

These books...... Amazing.

Mafia and romance novels are my guilty pleasure so I may be a little biased here but these books just suck you in!! Captured me from page 1 and couldn't put it down until they were all completed. It's hard to find mafia books that captivate you and suck you in. Some of them just don't satisfy that dark and dirty craving that you hope for but this series does.

I will not lie, these were the first books I have read by Bethany Kris and I can now say I'm a fan for life!!

These books are so well written that they are a must have in your book collection. Ok, now I am going to go read more Bethany Kris novels! :)

His friend Johnathan is engaged to Kate, Vinnie's middle child. After three months of dating his girlfriend, Antony has a hard decision to make. What does he need to talk to Vinnie about? What is Vinnie's response? After 10 years have passed, what happens that causes Antony a lot of heartache and revenge to be planned? Who is he planning on going up against? Remember the rules of being part of the family, never go after a made man. After Johnathan's death, Antony tries to find Lina, to tell her about what happened to Johnathan. What happens when he goes to try to find her? What happens when he finds out about Luciano? Who is Luciano? What do Dante and Giovanni think about Luciano? How do they feel about him? Read and find out. This first book leaves off with a bit of a cliff hanger, but knowing I will be going right into book two works.

Lucian - This book starts off with Luciano Grovatti at 8-years old. We get to see the night Antony rescued Lucian from the streets. What kind of nightmares does Lucian have, from before that night? One day in church with his family, his mother tells him it has been far too long since his last confession and he was to go. She'd see him at home afterwards. When he opens the curtain to the confessional, what sight confronts him? What happens? He leaves without making his confession, and then an incident happens outside of one of Antony's businesses. What happened, who was behind it and what does Antony with his boys do about it? When they are at the strip club, who does Lucian see? What happens that evening when he goes to the restroom at the club? What does he hear outside the back door when he is with Gio? What does he do about it? When Jordyn is attacked in her own home, what happens? How does the family take care of things for her? What does Antony do for Jordyn? I loved watching this romance blossom and grow. It ends on an HEA this one and goes right into Giovanni's story.

Giovanni - We start out the book at Lucian's wedding to Jordyn. We find Giovanni doing his thing, playing cards at a blackjack table at the reception when Kimberlynn sits down next to him, Kim to her friends. She whirls in for a hand, then leaves. Capturing Giovanni's attention. Who is she, where does she come from? She knows of the family but does not know them personally. How is she there? When she leaves a key card for him, he takes her up on her offer, a one time deal/night huh? She's gone the next day. This is Gio's downfall for women, isn't it? What happens when the Skip cannot get his mind off the girl? When his Don sends him to Las Vegas to 'check out' some things that were said at the Commission meeting by Franco, what happens? Does Gio make it out of Vegas? Alive? Read and see what happens and what threatens to topple everything.

Dante - Who is this Catrina that has walked into Dante's life in this 4th book in the series? Gio and Val have noticed that their street sales on Coke are down. What is going on? Who has stepped into their turf? Why? As I get to know Catrina, I feel that there is something more she is hiding about this whole situation. What is it? Does Cecelia's intuition truly have justification in her not liking Catrina at this point? Who knows. You are going to have to read it to find out. This particular book of the series was a very interesting read, because all the things we'd learned from the first three are basically tossed on it's ear in this book. The way Dante conducts business, and bringing a woman to the tribute table. Very, very, very interesting. See what it does to the talk in the book. It was quite fun to read.

Legacy - At first, this last book seems a little disjointed, because it jumps around, but the story line remains consistent. There are just more children with which to follow between the brothers. It will be interesting to see if there is another book coming down the pipeline for this family. It has been a great read, we know some of the plans that are in the works for the kids and their lives, but reading about it would be the tops. I loved that Bethany-Kris brought in some influences that we had not seen in the previous two generations. It made the book more real.

# ANTONY

Antony is the head of the Cosa Nostra. He is happily married to Cecelia. He has dedicated his life to the famiglia and Vinnie Catrolli, the boss. The things he has to do affects his personal life and he is not always readily available when there is a crisis. He soldiers on and does his job until one day Vinnie does something that really upsets him, leaving Antony to question his methods. Will he turn the outfit into a Marcello famiglia? This is a good build up to the rest of the series.

#LUCIAN

Lucian was adopted in the Marcello family when he was eight years old. Antony and Cecelia treat him equally to their two sons, Dante and Giovanni. An impressive trio.

Lucian has his own team and conducts his businesses in a very effective way. He has no intention of settling down yet.

Jordyn was brought up in an MC. She works as a barmaid in one of their clubs. Now that her protector is no longer around to keep her safe, the president has other ideas about what she should be doing.

When Lucian goes to confession on a Sunday, he encounters this blue eyed, dark haired beauty who leaves him speechless. He doesn't know anything about her but he can't get her out of his mind. He comes across her again when attending a meeting as she is the server of his table. Jordyn recognises him but keeps her mouth shut. Lucian discovers that she is not there by choice and he doesn't like the way some of club members treat her. He decides to pay her a visit but is a little too late. She has been badly beaten up and is in a terrible state. He takes her under his wings to protect her. They now have to watch their backs as the MC president considers Jordyn to be club property! Just when they think that the danger has passed, there is an attempt on Lucian's life. He has a price on his head but who is behind these coups? In the meantime the attraction between them gets stronger by the day. Can Jordyn adapt to Lucian's way of life? What about the Marcellos, will they agree to this prospective relationship? Will Lucian ever find out who is trying to kill him?

This story is full of danger, betrayal, crimes and loyalty. It's sensual and romantic. I found it to be a real page turner and the suspense makes for a compulsive read.

#GIOVANNI

Gio is the baby of the family who pretty much does his own thing but takes his responsibilities very seriously.

Kim is student, engaged to Franco, a capo in Vegas. It's not a love match but she doesn't have a choice.

Gio is sent on business in Vegas to work with Marco's family. Imagine his surprise when he meets Kim and realises that she is Marco's fiancée. Messing with engaged or married women is a definite no no in the outfit. Kim and Gio had met in the past and the attraction between them is still there! Franco is not the nicest of persons which really angers Gio. What are the chances that he can get Kim away from Franco? Practically zero without losing their lives.... but Gio is a Marcello!

Gio's and Kim's journey is somewhat complicated. There are drugs involved. Mental and physical abuse. Crime and cruelty as well as love and lust. A good storyline.

#DANTE

Dante is the second oldest of the Marcellos and is next in line to be one the Don of the Cosa Nostra.

Catrina runs her own illicit business. Her clientele contains of celebrities who wish to remain anonymous.

Dante and Catrina have a business marriage. They get on well together and have a good friendship. Eventually, the friendship turns into something more when they both stop ignoring their attraction to each other. Catrina has been keeping secrets which put the Marcellos in a dangerous position. These secrets lead to one of the most treasured Marcellos to be kidnapped and it's all hell let loose. Will Dante be able to overlook these lies or omissions!? Will Catrina ever be forgiven to continue with what could be a good relationship with Dante?

Like the others, this is fast pace, action packed and full of suspense.

Bonus Chapters

These chapters give snippets into the lives of some of the next Marcellos generation.

# Jonathan

John is Lucian's eldest. He is a troubled soul who gets himself into trouble more often than not. He feels like he doesn't "belong". There is a glimpse of him being happy. Is he having another episode or is it because of the girl he has just met or could he be up to no good?

# Catherine

Catherine is Dante's youngest daughter. She is a law student who makes illegal transactions on the side! She meets Cross who was her first in many things when they were in high school. Is this an indication that he might change her rebellious tendencies or is he after something else?

#Andino

Andino is Gio's only son. He is the most responsible of the new generation, contrary to what everyone thought! He is next in line to take over the Don's position. He is not keen in settling down though!

# Julia
Julia is Julian's youngest daughter. She is very bright and is planning to go to college, away from home. She feels smothered and in need of breathing space. On an outing with her brother John, she catches Ren's eyes and vice versa.

This whole series is very well rounded and worth reading.

I received a complimentary ecopy of this set in exchange for an honest review.

This was similar to J.J McAvoy's Ruthless People series but the writing styles are different. The Marcello's was a light and captivating read. Thumbs up from me. 👍🏽
