David: Homo sapiens var. Geneticus

Rate this book
A science fiction work about a man named David who is a genetically engineered man. David is a resident of the planet Volonia lying in the Dralon Galaxy. The Volonian society is all male. After living a long and stable life, David, due to increasing sleeping dreams as well as waking dreams, decides to travel to earth after discussing the matter with his grandfather who is from earth. It is the year 3,445.

Shortly before arriving on earth it is determined that almost all of earth lies in ruin. Earth is in a retrograded state except for several underground areas populated by people who for the most part it is discovered wish to kill David and his people. Attempts are made by these people to kill the Volonians with nuclear weapons.

The Volonians guided by David and his close friends perform remarkable feats on earth, including removing centuries of garbage from the Atlantic Ocean and specifically the Sargasso Sea. Mars is also changed to become a colony with profound beauty.

There is language and sex in the story that is hopefully in good taste, though it is very forward and sometimes shocking.

In the latter chapters of this first volume the ancient city of Carthage is rebuilt and a new society is formed under the direction of David and his people. At the conclusion of Volume 1 the plotline of good versus evil ends the storyline.

The volume is 87,063 words
