Mike was born in California but moved to Anchorage, Alaska when he was only 3 years old. He took his parents with him.
Growing up in Anchorage, Mike now enjoys writing about the town from its beginnings as a tent city in 1915, up through the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s and through the 1970s.
Hollywood, Here I Come
Along the way, Mike became a Hollywood screenwriter. He wrote and sold adventure screenplays. “The Long Ride Home” starring country singer Randy Travis, Oscar winner Earnest Borgnine and Stella Stevens is a western movie available on home video and is based on Mike's short script.
Anchorage Memories VIP Club
Mike also writes a monthly publication called the Anchorage Memories VIP Club
Great Alaska Stories
Mike and his family had lots of great Alaska adventures and Mike wrote his book, “Humorous Stories from ALASKA… and beyond” so you could enjoy a few Alaska sized laughs.
In Mike's book, “My Alaska Commercial Fishing Adventure”, you can read the fascinating story of how Mike spent the summer of his 16th year on a commercial fishing boat out of Cordova, Alaska on Prince William Sound.
