The Signs of Allah are all around us and they continue to encircle us. There is no count to them and they can come in copious forms; sometimes as clear as running water and deep blue skies, and other times they can be obscure and cause you to ponder, dwell, and even question. The entire world we live in contains ample signs as do the daily matters and incidents we face. The people we come across is a written fate as is the very timing of events in our lives. But most of us are oblivious and though we possess eyes and ears, we are prone to blindness that overtakes the heart - the organ most needed to comprehend and hearken to these signs and tales of wisdom. A beautiful collection of anecdotes and reflections on the signs all around us and how to ponder and make a deeper connection with the Qur'an. Recommended read.

I had been excited to read this book. However, beyond learning a nice definition of the term, 'sign', I didn't find this book too inspiring. It talks about how many objects in creation are signs, but doesn't talk about why. She says the trees are signs and that nature has signs, but doesn't go much deeper.
I was pretty disappointed. I also didn't think the writing was very professional.

‘I also gazed at the trees that had stood and remained standing long after the winds had passed. Although they bent and swayed during the storm, the intent was not for them to be uprooted, but rather for them to be strengthened, shaken, and make them shed their leaves; just like the believer who straightens back after the tests of Allah, stronger and relieved from the burden of sins.’

This is such a sweet book and full of really lovely reminders!!!! I didn’t give it 5 stars because I feel like it was a bit surface level and the writing style was slightly childish at times - but overall it is a lovely book.

This book is like a warm hug from a dear friend! It is beautifully written, goes deep, and touches your emotions. The author is a Hafidha of the Qur'an, and reading her reflections from everyday life and connecting them with Allah swt is a beautiful experience in itself. I highly recommend this book!
