This is a book of thought provoking essays covering a range of topics that include literature, teaching, and Men's responsibilities. What he has written still holds true today Excellent read; I highly recommend it.

Another truth is that much of this is bad art. It nevertheless has a major role in shaping lives. Upon that art men found their ideas of beauty and ugliness, heroism and virtue, dignity and pathos.
