I should have kept away from him, James was everything I didn't need. A handsome billionaire who wanted to be left alone, I was a journalist, determined to crack that exterior shell. He wouldn't even speak to me. Until his b*tch of an ex put me in danger, Then he saved my a** and took me back to his ranch. Put those strong hands on my body and traced my skin with soft lips, Made me beg for more. This is all wrong, I know it is, How can I resist a man who looks at me the way he does? We're in too deep and have to clean up this mess, The solution seems simple enough... Pretend to be his fianc. Throw myself into his arms, look deep into those eyes, All like it's the real deal. Sometimes, he makes it feel that way. Especially now that I carry his baby.

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author...Well it was a rollercoaster and ups and downs and Bruna was definately a witch however I think James gave her too much time and attention. James and Summer are attracted to each other and he is closed off due to his previous horrible relationship with Bruna, so they enter into a fake relationship which as you and I know never stays that way, however when he needed to listen to her, he throws her out believing the worst of her, thinking she is just like Bruna, and ofcourse it is all of Bruna's doing, and that is what pissed me off, he listened to her and then Summer forgave too easily..Heck no grovel

Opposites Attract After They Clash🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Another sexciting book from Emily Bishop!!! What does a vegan journalist and an ex corporate lawyer turned castle rancher have in common??? Not much except sizzling chemistry that will melt your panties off!!! James is a reclusive rancher that tries to stay under the radar of the press and media since they crushed his life in New York. Summer is on a mission to kick her journalist career into investigative reporting. From their first meeting the chemistry sizzles but James wants no part of the story Summer wants to do on ethical ranching. When James's ex, Bruna, shows up to win him back all beats are off. James reluctantly agrees to a fake engagement and a story for Summer with the stipulation he and his ranch remain anonymous. One taste of each other is not enough but can there be a future especially when Bruna has some tricks up her sleeves. The characters are exciting and not a dull moment in sight, even thought I'd love to throat punch Bruna. I highly recommend this book for a one click purchase. I enjoyed it so much I purchased a copy after reading the ARC...James is definitely a book boyfriend you need to meet!!! Can't wait for another book by Emily💕💕💕

Taking Summer

Summer is a journalist from New York determined to make a name for herself. So she travels to Dripping Springs and attempts to find a rancher she can persuade to let her document life on the ranch. Being vegan, Summer has a very black and white view of how a ranch is run, and what takes place there.

James owns a magnificent spread, but the first time he meets Summer, he is less than impressed. The second time they interact, Summer begins to have an effect on this intensely private man. Slowly, bit by bit, Summer breaks down the walls of distrust and solitude that James has built over the past year.

As James and Summer grow ever closer, their newly developing relationship is threatened by a face from his past; his ex-fiancee, Bruna. Bruna has decided she wants James back, and will stop at NOTHING to get him....

Oh my! Fast and furious, the heat is on between Summer and James, almost from the first moment they meet. An amazing story, with amazing highs and devastating lows, it'll keep you captivated until the final sentence. Erotic and sensual, with graphic sexual encounters, this is one hot read!

In this book we meet Summer and James. Summer is a journalist looking for her big break with a story on ethical farming and then we have James who is a reclusive farmer looking to stay away from the media attention he received because he is a corporate lawyer. James is looking for a different life and he doesn't all the drama from his past life coming back to screw it up for him. On top of everything, James has ex troubles. He meets Summer and in order to get the story she needs, she agrees to join James in a month long fake engagement. They complete their fake engagement with non-disclosure agreement and everything. What starts off as a business agreement heats up due to the intense chemistry that flares between Summer and James. I found myself drawn further and further into the story. I loved the sizzle and pop between the characters, loved the drama and angst, and the witty humor was great. This is a great summer read.

Taking Summer was a relatively quick read with good heat and a decent story. The characters are well written and have good chemistry. As the book progresses, the characters seem to lose their personality a bit though. Also, the book doesn’t match the blurb which bothered me.

This could have been a 4.5 Star review if not for the numerous spelling and grammatical errors. There were not enough to make the book unreadable, just enough to be annoying.

Overall, this book had the potential to be great. I genuinely enjoyed the story and most of the characterization. It wasn’t love but I’d read another book by this author.

Summer is a journalist looking for a story to further her career. James is a gentleman rancher running from the notoriety of a very publicly failed relationship in his past and losing himself in ranching with no time for romance. There are plenty of bumps along the path to Summer getting her story from the reclusive James while they both feel the heat of their attraction to each other. This was an entertaining fast read that is sure to satisfy your desire for romance with a bit of adventure and humor tossed in. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

This is the best book I have read from Emily Bishops hands. Absolutely amazing. It is so heartwarm, passionate, carring, sweet, steamy, emotional and full of twists that keeps you on the edge. I liked the characters very much because of the way they are described and their personalities. Their chemistry is over the top. I can only write good things about this story. Very captivating and enjoyable. The mix of drama, trust issues and hot chemistry makes you want to read on until the last page.
A fantastic read. This is so heartwarm and well written that it deserves five stars.

Some of the description was misleading.

I thought His ex would try to use more than just blackmail and sabotage to get Summer away from him. I expected a lot more from this story than I got. I’m sadly a bit disappointed. I liked them getting to know one another and everything that brings them together but I felt misled to be honest. Them being apart should’ve lasted longer and been a bit more angsty before she finally forgives him.

Emily has written a really cute story. I really liked the characters of James and Summer. They had great chemistry and they were good together. It took me a little bit to get into the story but once I did, I finished it in one day. James is a hot rancher and Summer is one lucky girl. Great story.

Trust

Trust was the heart and soul of this book. James couldn’t trust anyone because of a betrayal of his childhood friend/fiancé turned his life upside down. Summer journalists needs James’ story for a piece she’s writing. When James’ ex shows up she causes havoc for the couple. Good read.

HOLY FIRECRACKER!!!
Man when it rains it pours. Well, that was the saying until the two main characters in this tell-all found out his ex- is hell.and vengence all the way. Not sure what crawled up her rear. I love the main characters with that down home country feel. The main female is a little prickly because of her past amd trust issues are out the door. The male main is a sweetheart but his patience wears thin when it comes to her hatefull and conniving ways. Talk about backstabbing someone inthe back with a gorgeous smile on your face, thats pure evil. I think she must sleep with the man from down under every night. I ain't talking Australia either. The characters are well developed and very likeable. Talk about home grown youth. I love small town atmosphere. The characters are intriguing, complex and realistic with such a wild range of feelings as well as what they desire to bring the happiness they look for. The two main characters tend to butt heads frequently and it would seem they're not to keen on one another. When they occupy the same vicinity sparks fly and their connection only intensifies. The characters are about to combust if they don't realize just how bad it was for one another to stay apart. When the come together like a fast movimg locomotive, I'm not sure there'll be any survivors. The scense were out of this world. With such vividly detailed and descriptive it came together beautifully and with out a hitch. Twists, turns and unexpected surprises just keep coming from every direction. Suspense fulled the small town as everyone was keeping their eyes open looking for anything out of thr norm. Emily really out done herself with this eye opening, page turning amd the smell of danger hung heavy in the air around them. Something has to give their all sitting alert, nerve racking, nailbiting, spine tingling just waithing cause their gut tells them its about to go down in a mass explosive that rio the twon and anyone still there to shreds. Emily really knows how to spin a strong thrilling, with all the action, terror, fury and she brings it all together brilliantly in this fulle fledged, heartstopping, adrenaline pumping ride they've been on. Phenomenal job Emily, you definitely kept me on a razors edge and googebumps down my arms. You totally 150 percent nailed this exciting read pulling the rest of us into your imagination to spinn a world were nothing else existed. Thank you so much for sharing this tension filled awesome tale with us.

Another fantastic read from Ms Bishop. Summer and James are a hot and steamy couple who at first seem to start off on the wrong foot. Summer is a journalist with a heart and she wants to make her mark by doing a story on cattle farming in Texas. She wants to show that farmers treat the cattle with compassion and care for them justly. James is a lawyer who in the past has made some wrong choices and because of his ambition has hurt the people he has gone after in the past. He wants nothing to do with that life anymore. He has bought a cattle ranch and just wants to live in peace now. A past relationship left him standing at the alter and almost ruined his life since it was played out in the media. Of course he doesn't trust journalists or the media. Along comes Summer, a woman who wants to do a story about his ranch. Can he trust her to leave his name and the name of the ranch out of the story? Summer tells him she is not that kind of journalist and that she only wants to write about the way a ranch is run. The two can not deny the attraction. Bruna the woman who almost ruined James has appeared at the ranch and wants James back. Summer offers to pose as James' fiance to help him get Bruna out of his life. This plot twist had me wanting to scream at Bruna so that she would go away. She has definitely got a screw lose. I feel for Summer. All she wants is to love James and because of his trust issues he has a hard time. This is a very well written book and I could not put it down. I like how things were finally resolved between Summer and James. Wonderful HEA!
