The End #3

Embracing The End

Rate this book
They were being hunted... and surviving was no longer just a struggle to eat.The Neos--agents of the anti-Christ--sought all Christians. They wanted them to conform, to take the mark of the beast. When a believer refused... it was their final act of defiance. While the rest of the world celebrated the establishment of the "new world order," the believers fought to live, to exist. They never could have imagined just how bad things would get. And betrayal was their worst enemy. And then they were no longer fighting. They were storming the very gates of Hell. The End Series is a fictional account of a world gone mad and what a band of believers must do to survive. If you like apocalyptic end times survival fiction, you'll love these books! All books are Christian based. Due to content, this series is not recommended for children under 13.

I just couldn’t like this series. It could have been an ok series but I feel it disrespected to my LORD & SAVIOR.

It is my first VJ Dunn books & probably my last. I couldn’t accept calling GOD “dad”. I found it highly disrespectful, a popular terminology today doesn’t make it right. GOD gave us His name that we are to call Him to Moses in Exodus, Yahweh (YHWH), "I am" or "He is". Jesus even says to address GOD as “Our Father” in the LORD’s Prayer, not “dad”.
The Jews consider the Lord’s name a highly sacred name and we should as well. They even capitalize LORD when addressing our Creator. The Creator & Father of all life, our King & Savior should be addressed with reverence & respect not such informality as “dad”. The LORD is not our “dad”, our dad is one of our earthly human parents. We wouldn’t address the President of the United States, an earthly king or even the apostle Paul as “dude” or “dad” if we met them, so we would show even more respect when addressing our Heavenly Father, not an informal name such as “dad”.
I can assure you on judgment day when we stand before our LORD, we will not call our LORD dad, we will be in such admiration & awe that we won’t even be able to speak at all when we stand before the Holy of Holies, that is how reverent our Heavenly Father is, not an informal name such as dad.
King David, Moses, Abraham & Yeshua Himself never went before our LORD & called Him “dad”.
Revelation 6:9-11, the saints under the throne of God call him "LORD" and "Sovereign LORD," often addressing Him with phrases like "How long, O LORD, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?" - essentially emphasizing HIS holiness, justice, and power to avenge their suffering. They do not address GOD so informally as “dad”
Calling God 'Daddy' should be considered irreverent. The term brings the Creator and Father of all life down to the level of humanity. We are to be careful when addressing our Heavenly Father. And should address Him with all the reverence due Him.

I also found this series was written more towards a high school level, which in my opinion is teaching our youth to address our Creator, our King, our LORD & Savior irreverently.

Very inspiring

I think VJ Dunn's Embracing The End, book 3 was very inspiring. So many places throughout the book show great despair, great loss and fear, yet each time, God gave them exactly what they needed to make it through.

I feel like the characters are either my family or my enemies. It's very easy to connect with the story the way the author has developed them, especially since I frequently find many of their thoughts to be ones I've had myself.

It is total clean! There is no cursing and no intimacy. Readers should beware that there are references to past violent incidents as well as situations which do not occur on screen which includes multiple variations of circumstances.

I would read anything from this author. I will absolutely continue this series. I would highly appreciate this series for anyone 16ish or older. I do not feel younger teens should read this without parental guidance due to the mature content.

I have enjoyed this series; starting on the last one. I was glad this one did not have brutal scenes that the last one had. I do realize they do need to be addressed. I am having a hard time with Ben's betrayal. He lived with these believers for three years. Married and supposely loved this wife and children and then turned his back on them. I assumed only because he wanted power. Luis keeps talking about taking the wrong side. He could do something about it eventhough he is demon possesed. Of coarse, he would die trying, but he is going to anyway. Really like seeing "Dad's" involument. I like how Dunn is bringing about the end times events; eventhough. I do not agree with the time line. Looking forward to reading the last one. I would not recommend this ot young one, just adults.

I really enjoyed the first two books of this series. This book, however, was written more from a teenager’s perspective. The writing is immature and seemed to be hurried. Many portions of the book were repeated and that made for boring reading. The language is more intense and there is less focus on the Christian aspect. Characters are not well developed and it was hard to keep track of who was who. I will not be finishing the series.

Awesome

The novel captivated me from start to finish, compelling me to read it in a single day. The author's skillful blend of humor and poignant moments drew me deeply into the narrative. The characters' journeys were so engaging that I found myself both laughing and shedding tears. This end-times series stands out as the most remarkable I've encountered, offering a profound and immersive reading experience.

I enjoy that the author doesn’t over explain things. For example the group needs to get to a location and she doesn’t waste pages of them traveling. They just get there and the story continues.

I do wish a bit more of the Revelation time line was met. It’s hard to know what part they are in the middle of and what’s coming next.

Blessed

It’s a blessing to see a book based on something I enjoy and have a Christina foundation as well. I wish it had a little more survival information but when God is control who needs it right? Great Read.

A few inconsistencies such as Daisy the dog protecting Leeanne and dying while doing so, then later the dog is playing with the children. Also a few other things but overall a god story and a great Christian message. A satisfied reader!

Reminders

When I picked up the series again this time I was kind of in a bad way. Having some issues with myself and others reminded me of Bible scriptures. It reminded me of what the big picture should be about. I can hardly wait to finish the last book.
