kicking my own ass for wasting 4 bucks on this - I could have had a nice latte instead :-(
I liked the premise of this, but the MCs were TSTL - OMG I get young and stupid but these two must have been in a deep freeze for 15 years to still be stuck in young and stupid mode

The story is intense, amazing and the subject is one that's hard to talk about as well. it's a fabulous story also, Of course I dove right into this book and didn’t put it down until I was finished. This is a story about a second chance to love its Austin Tarben and Nuria Orson story.The characters are Awesome.
Austin is a Were bear that live in Silvertip, Alberta all his life, his family own a brewery in town. Nuria waited fifteen years to return to her hometown of Silvertip, Alberta, She and her parents had moved because her boyfriend older brother try to molested her at age fifteen. Becca Jameson constantly surprised me with which direction they go. Totally kept me on my toes – LOVED IT! Grizzly Beginning has a fantastic supporting cast! What I also enjoyed about the story was its setting – a wonderful small town in Canada, where they are all about their beer and all the best in supporting their community. Austin and Nuria knew early that they were meant to be mates maybe as early as 9 years old. They were inseparable until they turned 15 and then some dreadful events happened. Austin's older brother told Austin that Nuria wasn't interested in him and she was dating him behind Austin's back. Then Austin saw Nuria and his brother having what looked like sex in his barn. That night Nuria and her family moved away for good. Austin was broken hearted and 15 years later still alone. Then he finds out Nuria is back in town getting her parents house ready to sell. He confronts her to find out why she left. After a lot of arguing the truth comes out. Austin's brother had been making Nuria uncomfortable with many touches and comments. That day in the barn was the brother trying to rape and bind Nuria. Austin is devasted to find out the truth. Nuria found out that Austin saw her with his brother and walked away without helping her and it broke her heart.
Now the two have to deal with the strong mating pull between them and the hurt over the past. If that isn't enough, someone is angry with and after Nuria.
This is a great book about two young people who were put in a horrible situation and were badly hurt. This is Nuria and Austin's story and is the second book in the Arcadian Bears Series. These books do need to be read in order since they are interconnected and have an evolving storyline. And they are so worth it! 😍
Austin and Nuria's story actually starts when they were children and knew they were mates but something tragic happens to split them apart. Jump forward fifteen years later and they have a shot at a second chance... but it's not going to easy for either one of them. What happened in the past had long-reaching effects that could still tear them apart if they don't accept that they both were hurt and made mistakes. And to let go of the anger and guilt they both carry. This book is an emotional rollercoaster that will take you to the edge of letting go and ultimately healing them both. I was pulled in from the start and could not put this book down... even when I was crying for both of them, laughing along with them and fanning myself from their passion. 💗🔥💗

I borrowed Grizzly Beginning ~ Arcadian Bears ~ Book 2 from the Kindle Unlimited program.

Ummm...potential here but.,
Liked this better then the first one in some ways but not in others. Austin was a pretty good character and generally I liked him. Nuria was ok but she didn’t make a lot of sense to me. Her actions and thoughts were inconsistent. Also I really don’t like the whole 30 year old virgin storyline unless it fits and makes sense, it didn’t here. She is written as strong and very open about sex generally but we are supposed to believe she never connected with anyone physically or emotionally in 15 years. But he somehow did of course even knowing their mates, doesn’t try and find her or confront her (even knowing his older brother is a total tool) and instead tries other relationships???
There was still a lot of inner dialogue also.
I do like a lot of the way she writes though, so there is that. Not sure if I’ll read more though.

“Grizzly Beginnings” is the second book in the Arcadian Bears series. It is a standalone but I feel that reading the first book “Grizzly Mountain” would greatly enhance the reading experience. This second book is fantastic. I read the story in one sitting. After fifteen years, Nuria Orson has come back to Silvertip to sell her family home. She and her family left suddenly after, Nuria was molested by her boyfriend Austin Tarben's older brother. Austin believes his mate Nuria had betrayed him with his brother. How Nuria and Austin deal with the misunderstandings and mistakes adds up to an intense story filled with suspense, action, betrayal and steamy romance. A definite MUST READ.

This was a wonderful second chance story. It is well written with strong characters. Nuria Orson has returned to her hometown of Silvertip Alberta. Do to an experience when she was 15. Can she get in and get out before Austin knows she is there? Austin Tarben was Nuria's boyfriend till he caught her in the barn with his older brother. He has never been able to get over her betrayal.
Is what he saw in the barn what he thought it was? Was his brother trying to take her away from him by claiming her by force? Will these two be able to find a second chance at love? I give it 5 stars. "I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy without pressure to do so".

Another fantastic read from Becca Jameson. This book was fantastic as it had action and some mystery with lots of steam. Austin was a likeable character that I really enjoyed reading his story. Nuria was also likeable and I really felt for her as the emotions and reactions are believable. It was great to see characters from the first book and although you can read this book alone I would recommend reading the first book as they work well together. Lots of steam and a HEA that makes me look forward to the next in this series. I am giving my voluntary honest review on a book that I received from the author.

Grizzly Beginning by Becca Jameson is a fast-paced romance. Nuria returns to her hometown to sell her childhood home. She hasn't been back since the day her boyfriend's brother molested her. Austin never knew why Nuria's family left and never came back. Their story is packed with drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. I enjoyed every page and look forward to my next book by Becca Jameson. Grizzy Beginning is book 2 of the Arcadian Bears Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.

I really enjoyed how this book is a stand alone HEA, but is also linked into the first book by the characters. Your heart goes out to Nuria as she really has been through soo much and it just keeps happening while Austin is trying his best to make up for what happened in the past with them as well as try and win her love back. There were were some highs and lows as well as twists you don't see coming that keep you turning the page and needing to now what will happen next that made this a great second chance read!

This is a great story. It pulls you in from the very start. After a misunderstandings of things that happened 15 years earlier, the characters meet again. They still have a strong chemistry that draws them together. The plot is well written and intriguing. There is drama, mystery, romance and it kept my interest until the very end. Although it can be read as a stand alone I think you will enjoy reading the first in the series as well. I received this book as a gift and voluntarily give this review.

I am really loving this series. These bears are devoted and protective of what's theirs. In this one Austin wants answers from Nuria and when he gets them he isn't sure she can ever forgive him. She is still unbound after fifteen years and she is still his mate. A favorite scene is when she reveals the reason her parents spirited her away all those years ago.
Not only does Austin have to win back his mate, but now someone is trying to kill her.
Suspenseful and sizzling I couldn't put this book down.

Nuria had finally come back to Silvertip to sell her parents home. She had waited almost 15 years to come back because she was afraid of running into Antoine. He had tried to rape her 15 years ago. She and Austin had been best friends and knew that they were mated for each other, but after the attack, she her family left town. Since she came back to town, things started happening. You will need to read this book to see what happens. It will keep you guessing on what's happening and how they finally mated. Enjoy

Austin and Nuria knew they were destined to be mates from a young age, but because of an incident involving Austins older brother, Nuria and her parents fled Silvertip, Alberta 13 years before the story picks up. Now that she's back she has to contend with the extremely hard to ignore mating instinct between her and Austin and some knuckleheads bent on revenge. Can they both bury the past and think about their future, or is there too much hurt. Can't wait for more from this series!

15 years of heartache, 15 years of sorrow, 15 years of loneliness, that's what Austin and Nuria have endured since Nuria and her parents disappeared. Now she's back if only temporarily. She and Austin have to confront their past in order to move on with their lives. There is so much anger, hurt and guilt between them it may not be possible. However, the deeply seeded knowledge that they are each other's mates and are meant to be bound is something that cannot be ignored.

This was a great read from beginning to end. Not just for the shifter romance (although that was good), but because of the emotion & the 2nd chance of happiness. Too often people work under misunderstandings & these combined with guilt can eat away at a relationship & destroy happiness. Not everyone gets a 2nd chance. I loved that Nuria & Austin were able to find their happy ending.

Really enjoyed this second chance shifter romance. They have known sense they were kids they would be together. Due to events in the past it has been 15 years and if they can get past old hurts they have a shot. Of course there are plenty of bumps along the way and surprises that will keep your attention.

Meh, the story line was ok, but i didn't really like the heroine. I thought i could hold a grudge, but she takes it to a while next level! Even i was thinking let it go girl and rolling my eyes.
