One queen. Four smoking-hot males. A reverse harem can't get any better with all the steam, actions, twists, and devotion! My mates and I march into the dark Fae's court, where I was born and cursed. The usurper Fae queen, my aunt, rules with whip, blade, and dark magic. I'm determined to end her reign of terror once and for all. As the daughter to the First Princess, I'm the rightful heir to the throne, despite being a hybrid--half-Fae, half-dragon. And with the great magic of light awakening in me, I can unite all Fae and dragon realms, with my mates by my side.
But the Fae queen is more powerful and devious than I could expect. She can't defeat me in a duel, so she resorts to seducing my dragon princes and offers them what they want the most.
If the princes betray me, the curse will return to me and render me to the Fury beasts once again and forever. While I fight for my men, my kingdoms, and myself, a trial of fire also sweeps over all my mates to test their strength, limits, passion, lust, and our very bond.

I really wanted to like this series, as I really enjoyed most of her other stories. Unfortunately, I'm not sure why she wrote this mess. Elvey is the only character in the entire book to actually have a personality and common sense. The rest, including the main girl who is supposed to be 900 yrs old, were nothing but immature children through this whole series. I kept hoping that they would mature and come together. But even when they sort of came together, it wasn't a real coming together. It came across as fake. Pretty much like the plot of this final book. We all knew when it started what was going on with the Princes and I'm sure we all knew from the first book how they would lose their masks. There were no surprises, except how immature 3 grown men can act. Everything ended in sex. It was weird.. Okay, this person is up to something and instead of us actually talking about what that might be or making plans we have sex. This person made me mad so lets have sex with whoever is there. We never got any real conversations, no planning or war sessions. It's all fight, have sex and repeat. If you can tolerate all the immaturity that fill this entire series, then you might enjoy reading it.
Honestly, I just finished these books because I didn’t have anything else to read. I definitely won’t read the next one, they were all poorly written, with a bad narrative and lots of grammar mistakes.
The world building was all over the place, there are good authors out there who manage to mix fantasy and sci-fi. This one’s NOT one of them, it all felt fake and forced.
The saddest bit of the three books was the not so dramatic and quite obvious “plot twist” in this book, honestly it was laughable I new what would happen all the time. It was very simplistic with no real depth.
IDK why I had this idea that Meg Xuemei X was this sci-fi goddess. I guess I always saw her books from afar and the sheer amount of them made me believe she was prolific because she was good.
She’s not Terrible, I’ll give her that, but she’s not very good either.
And just FYI sci-fi and fantasy are my absolute cup of tea, so it’s not that I have a problem with mixing the genres, it’s about her story-telling skills.
The STORY in and of itself was an interesting story, though it was written poorly. The dialogue was infantile, the character development was MIA, it read like the Cliff's Notes version, the grammar, vocabulary and sentence structure we're atrocious, and the sex scenes and dialogue might as well have come from a 13 year old boys' imagination. There was no romance and no depth and NO variation. It was basically the same scene copied and pasted, over and over. I, basically, rewrote the entire book AS I read it, just to get through it. I'm one of those people that has to see a story through to the end once I've started it and it bit me in the butt, this time.
2-ish- The third one was by far the most enjoyable. Not my normal genre, but I liked Elvey and Daisy together. Could’ve cared less about any of the Dragon princes. I liked the world building the author did, but a lot of it, and some aspects of certain characters really reminded me of the Throne of Glass series- almost to the point where it was redundant, whether or not it was an influence. Overall, the series was a quick, fun read for someone who doesn’t normally read romance novels.

Daisy should have kept the faith, remembered Sphinx's riddle and trusted all of her mates; it might have saved some heartache. Elvey was full of surprises both good and unexpected. Tianna gave new meaning to evilly demonic and I was surprised and thrilled with her punishment. I can't wait for more of Elvey's story.
