I'll Be Home for Christmas is a fast-paced adventure that will keep you on your toes right until Christmas!

I am so thrilled to be part of the blog tour for Mills & Boon for I'll Be Home for Christmas. Check out the other amazing people that are participating in the blog tour as well:

I'll Be Home for Christmas is the first Christmas book I have read this year, before the holidays begin. It is an amazing story about a popular UK singer, Jessika Malone, who receives an offer from a famous US singer to record a duet and go on a US Tour for a while. This is a dream come true, but this offer comes right after Jessica's boyfriend proposes. Wanting to spend all the time in her world with him, she is hesitant to go, but at the same time, this is an opportunity of a lifetime.

We see our heroine Jessika travel to the US and embark her adventure. I loved the fact that we get to feel what she feels, and live through her dream. We get to see her cope with new things and learn along the way, and it is amazing being on this journey with her. She is a character that knows what she wants and is not afraid to go and get it.

Be ready for some drama, and also be ready to choose sides.

The author makes it hard to know what is the right choice, and all choices seem to have their pros and cons, which makes the book even more realistic. I wish I knew what was right or wrong in life straightaway - that would be too easy. Instead, I keep coming across tough choices that sound amazing, and I have to really look though everything and choose what is right. You get to see this reality in the book, and it is refreshing.

Despite it being a Christmas book, I didn't really feel the Christmassy vibes too much, but I think that is due to the fact that the focus on this book wasn't entirely Christmas. We only got a glimpse of the holiday spirit around the end of the book - but it wasn't in a Home Alone sort of style. It was simple.

Despite that, I still enjoyed this book a lot, and it was the perfect book for me to get me through my days when I felt poorly and lying in bed. I recommend it to all of you out there that love romance, Christmas, a bit of an adventure and searching for our true selves.

Thank you to the team at Mills & Boon, for letting me be a part of this Christmas adventure!

5☆ Heart Warming, Uplifting, Enchanting, Must Read!

I absolutely adored I'll Be Home For Christmas I devoured it in one day.
It's a story of Second Chances, following your dreams, trust and relationships.

Jessika thought she had it all, Daniel a loving partner, a fantastic music career, great friends. But then along came Cooper Black.

Cooper Black was about to offer her a once in a lifetime opportunity that could see her music career soar to international heights.
But is her career worth risking her stable and loving relationship?

Oh wow this book was such a delight to read.
Jessika was a strong independent character who knew what she wanted, but then she also had a vulnerable and insecure side that made her human and relatable.

Cooper Is a megastar, he is incredibly handsome, charming, caring, popular, dazzling, Charasmatic, I could go on and on....

Neither Jessika or Copper are perfect and neither behaved in a responsible way but I did enjoy watching their budding friendship grow, on and off the stage.

I have to take a moment to mention the supporting characters, they are Endearing, Charasmatic, and each one adds a lil bit of sparkle to the story.
In particular Neale, he is one of my favourite characters. He is so entertaining, thoughtful and captivating I wish I had a best friend as loving and loyal as he was to Jessika! Not to mention his love for JB!

I definitely can't go into any more detail as I risk giving away all the juicy gossip!
So I highly recommend reading it for yourself.

I'll Be Home For Christmas Is definitely going on my Top Reads for 2019!
It's a heart warming, uplifting and captivating story, full of Drama, regrets, insecurities, long distance relationship, romance, friendships, humour, amazing locations and you get to see first hand what it's like to be on tour with a megastar.
The Characters are superbly written and believable.
The pace for me Just whizzed by as I became more enthralled and captivated by the storyline.

Overall i highly recommend reading I'll Be Home For Christmas. Not only does it make the perfect Christmas Read, but I could simply read this adorable book snuggled up anytime. So what are you waiting for.... grab a cosy blanket, a hot drink and whisk yourself away on a whistle stop tour with Jessika and Connor.

Thank you to Mills and Boon for this copy which I reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

I have a lot about breast cancer awareness on my website and Twitter @bookpage5

I read this book in paperback

I loved reading themes that are about Christmas time. I’ll Be Home for Christmas is a feel good story about popstar Jessika Malone, who is constantly in the public eye. I believe what made this story so real life is that as Abbey Clancy is constantly followed by paparazzi, she knows how to adapt a good story about a popstar. Let’s talk about romance. A story by Mills and Boon has to have the romance to make it magically touch our hearts. And I’ll Be Home for Christmas, certainly touched my heart. I wanted Popstar Jessika to be happy forever.

Please buy this book as 45p from sales of this book will be donated to Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now. Your donation through Tickled Pink books means that we can continue to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer care and research.

Tickled Pink has been raising money for Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now for the last 23 years, and has raised over 64 million so far.

I recall reading Abbey Clancy's first book around 3 years ago and really enjoying it, so when I spotted this one on Netgalley, and with Christmas in the title too, I knew I had to read it. What I didn't realise, in part because I can't retain book details for 3 years when I read as many as I do in a year, was that this is actually a sequel to Remember My Name, and in fact seems to be set not too long after the previous one finished.

It was after the first 20% where odd bits sounded like something I'd read before where I finally re-checked the first books blurb and twigged, at which point I stopped feeling like I was going mad and was able to settle into the swing of the story. That being said, still wondering why on earth Christmas is in the title, as it barely features at all. This is not what I'd call a festive story at all which is ultimately disappointing given my love of them at this time of year.

Once I got back into the swing of things I did enjoy the story, although maybe its just because I'm a bit older now but at times Jessy really did get on my nerves.

I enjoyed the writing style, there were moments that made me smile, the small amounts of sex were fabulous, but it was the storyline between JB and Neale that really made the book for me. I loved both of these characters so so much, and seeing how great a friend Neale was to Jessy, and omg that scene in the hot tub... that definitely was a standout!

At times I was a bit unsure whether Jessy and Daniel would ever see a HEA or not, which at least kept me on my toes.

Light hearted, entertaining novel and I suspect even though this didn't quite hit all the right spots for me I'd still be happy to read more from the author, just hope its not such a gap between releases!

Thank you to Mills and Boon and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily,

I'll Be Home For Christmas is a standalone novel by Abbey Clancy.
45 pence from each sale of this book will be donated to the Tickled Pink charity for Breast Cancer research and support, so even if this book isn't your cup of tea, why not buy it as a gift for a loved one for Christmas??

Personally, I enjoyed the book and what made it even better was knowing that the author herself is a celebrity. You just know that some of the things that were written about 'Jessika', famous pop star, must have been referenced from similar real-life experiences. It makes the book seem more believable.

Jessika is famous, she's set up her own record label with a friend and fellow singer, Vogue. She is in a wonderful relationship with a record producer, but that relationship is put to the test when Jessika takes up the opportunity of a lifetime. She records a single with an ex boyband member in America and after it hits number 1 she is asked to tour with the band around America. Her boyfriend trusts her and she trusts him to cope with some time apart, but when it comes down to it, when temptation is put in their path, will they stay faithful to each other? Maybe time apart is what they have needed to see if they really are the perfect couple.

This was an enjoyable laugh out loud story and I liked the fabulous mix of characters, not least Miles who is Jessika's very gay very wonderful stylist. I could read a book just about him! The band members were fun, reading behind the scenes of stadium tours, and the fun had afterwards was all great to read and then you have the romances and relationships which make the book just great. I also loved that it was set in both America and the UK, the differences in the countries really stood out in this book.

You can't go wrong buying this, you get a wonderful book to read, and it helps the Tickled Pink charity. I say GO FOR IT!

I’ll Be Home For Christmas by Abbey Clancy is a fun-filled contemporary novel that will delight the reader from the start.
The story concerns the world of show biz. It all looks very glamourous but underneath it is hard work and difficult being apart from loved ones. Temptations lie all around. Characters need to keep focused on what is really important and not live for the moment.
Long distance relationships are stretched to breaking point. Will they bounce back? Or is it the end of the road?
True love awaits a character. True love is found in surprizing places and beautiful to watch it bud and blossom.
There are themes of hurt and forgiveness as a character wakes up to realise what is worth fighting for.
We all want someone to love us. Sometimes love is like a fairy tale but often it is found at the end of the chord of friendship. We all want someone who has seen us at our very worst but loves us anyway.
Abbey Clancy has created a wonderful set of characters in glorious 3D who spring to life as the reader enters their world. Through her descriptions we immerse ourselves in the world of glitz, glamour and hard work.
No matter how old we get, we always need our family. We want their affirmation and their love. Abbey Clancy shows the need for firm foundations in our lives that will keep us grounded.
I’ll Be Home For Christmas is a really fun read in spite of some serious themes. I loved it. It is perfect for all year round and not just for Christmas.
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.

A lighthearted romantic comedy with a festive twist.

Jess is going on tour with pop royalty and leaving her soulmate behind for a month, The story follows her journey and the problems and temptation she faces. There is the expected realistic ethos to this story, and that makes it enjoyable,

The plot is simple but the characters are likeable, and the challenges they face a good mix of celebrity, glamour and romantic conflict. The settings are well described and make the story more interesting.

Something for lovers of celebrity-themed romantic comedy, with a festive twist.

I received a copy of this book from Mills and Boon in return for an honest review.

3/5 Not so much a romantic comedy as a glimpse of a tragic celebrity blip in time. Hardly a Christmas tale, especially in that the only reference to Christmas was Daniel walking into their home with two stockings and a comment on the weather. I was hoping for something more festive but its point of difference redeemed itself in the end.

Enjoyable Christmas Chick-Lit
4 stars

**Review kind of contains spoilers**

This is the first book I’ve read of Abbey Clancy’s - and actually didn’t know she’d turned her hand to writing until picking up this book. It’s written with the help of Debbie Johnson.

I can definitely see some people having preconceived notions about this book based on the author. I remember first seeing Ms. Clancy back during her ‘Britain’s Top Model’ days and liked her then. While I wouldn’t class myself a fan, she definitely seems like a likeable and fun person in every capacity I’ve seen her. Throughout the book I felt that the writing seemed very similar to how I would describe Abbey’s personality - namely bubbly and friendly. I also saw a lot of presumed parallels between Abbey’s own journey and experiences to those of Jessika. It made the whole thing more believable and therefore enjoyable.

I would class this book as 100% chick-lit (despite my abhorrence of that term!) rather than romance. While it’s got that underlying romantic storyline (and HEA, you’ll be glad to know), this is more about Jessika’s journey as a new pop star and reconciling the ‘real’ her with the ‘celeb’ her.

**Spoilery bit**

**Spoilers end**

While I don’t class myself as the same kind of person as Jessika/Abbey (glam, image-conscious and confidently outgoing) I did like her immensely. I was rooting for her to work everything out - especially her relationship with Daniel. From reading other reviews (after I’d finished the book), I found out that this is actually the second book featuring Jessika and Daniel - and a host of other characters (the first being Remember My Name). While this book certainly stands alone - as I didn’t feel that I was starting a story in the middle - it probably does explain why I felt that the first couple of chapters of the book were quite energetic as we get quite a lot of information about Jessika and her circumstances all at one time.

The story flows along nicely and while there’s not a massively Christmas vibe - I did love the descriptions of Jessy and Daniel's English country home, which definitely had a homey, warm feel to it. It’s the dream, man.

Chick-lit is not normally my bag, but as a side-step, this was an enjoyable diversion. It’s fast paced, has personality in spades and left me thinking about the story for days after I’d finished the last page. I have to admit - I was very pleasantly surprised by this book. 4 stars from me.

I know.. it’s January and I’ve just finished a Christmas book 😭

I always end up having too many Christmassy books left over from my December TBR that I haven’t had chance to read, there’s that many on my list I’m losing track! This was such a lovely-light hearted read to follow my last book, I just needed something that you didn’t really need to pay that much attention to, to give my brain a little break.

I’ll Be Home For Christmas was such a feel good book and if you know me, you know how much a sucker I am for predictable, lovey dovey romance.

Plot:
The story follows a young pop star named Jessika Malone, who gets an offer from an up-and-coming pop sensation, Cooper Black, to feature on his new debut album. She’s torn between leaving her boyfriend Daniel and her family behind, but will it make her a global superstar?

It was a really easy plot to follow and was quite predictable in some places, but aren’t all romance novels? I loved that though, because I knew certain things were going to take place but was still rooting for the other option. It also followed the behind the scenes process and the making of a whole music tour, which gave insight to me a little more about how things are run and what we don’t see. In the end, the story really came back full circle with a happy ending (thank goodness!) and not much angst, which made for a better read.

Style:
I really liked Abbey Clancy’s writing style because it was entertaining and in some places humorous. I related so much to a few of the phrases that were written and it made me giggle. There’s also not many complicated twists/events that you have to constantly try to wrap your head around so you could really absorb yourself in the story and the world of all the characters. I found it super easy to get through, a good fill in for if you’ve just read something heavy and fully focused!

Summary:
It was a really heartwarming novel and the humorous writing style made for a great read. I related to some characters and laughed thinking “I’d probably say that too!” If you love cute and uncomplicated love stories - and maybe a cute looking pop star too - you’ll really love this book.

Jessika doesn't really spend a lot of time reflecting on her own mistakes or choices. Everything is seen through the lens of her own frame of references. She feels hurt by the fact Daniel won't fly out and visit her, and yet doesn't consider doing the same thing. She feels jealous because he is spending all his time with an attractive superstar, but completely disregards the fact she is doing the same thing.

She acts like a spoiled child who is used to getting her own way and she certainly does when her bubble is burst on a surprise visit to her home.

I like the fact Clancy brought up abuse of power. It may not not seem important other than to magnify a certain dramatic point in the story, but it does speak to an ongoing issue that people with large followings have. The use of fans or followers to impact negatively on a third party or person. Doesn't seem like a big thing, but it can destroy lives, reputations and businesses. Not exactly the kind of behaviour that should be supported.

Also the way Cooper does this, which the rich and famous are wont to do. Using the medium of their career to diss or malign someone is childish at best and destructive at worst. The author incorporates this into the read in a subtle way and makes her point without losing the feel-good read aspect of the book.

It's a Christmas romance, a story that proves money and fame can't buy you love or happiness. That trust is an integral part to any relationship, and once it is gone it has to be rebuilt. Clancy delivers a fun, energetic read with serious undertones - just right for the festive season.

This is a lovely easy read which I soaked up over two days.

Jessika or Jessy to her friends in a newly famous singer who is living with the love of her life Daniel. She gets offered the chance to tour the USA with an ex boy band member who has gone solo. Things start of amazingly but the long distance relationship and time difference soon put a strain on Jess and Daniel's relationship. Can it survive?

An easy read that I very much enjoyed.

This is the second book that Abbey Clancy has released. I read her earlier book 'Remember My Name' and I really enjoyed reading it. I couldn't wait for her to release another book. Imagine my excitement when I first heard that she was due to release 'I'll Be Home For Christmas'. On second thoughts it's probably best that you don't as thankfully my excitement was only witnessed by my two Labradors and it wasn't pretty. Needless to say I couldn't wait to grab hold of a copy and escape into the world of bestselling popstar Jessika Malone. I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'I'll Be Home For Christmas' but more about that in a bit.
Once again, 'I'll Be Home For Christmas' came along at the right time for me. I was in need of a light hearted, fun, feelgood, romantic tale to distract me from a few things that I won't bore you with. Well this book certainly distracted me and then some. It took precisely two pages for me to become totally wrapped up in the story. I couldn't turn those pages fast enough. At one point the pages were turning that quickly that it was almost as if they were turning themselves. I found it extremely difficult to put this book down for any considerable length of time. The book had developed a hold over me and it was a hold that I didn't want to break. I charged through the latter half of the story and I reached the end of the story far quicker than I had wanted to. 'I'll Be Home For Christmas' is one of those books you are desperate to finish because you need to know how the story ends but you are enjoying the book that much that you are desperate not to finish it. Book worms will know exactly what I mean.
'I'll Be Home For Christmas' is well written. Abbey has one of those writing styles that is easy to get along with and easy to get used to. Abbey has based her characters within a world with which she is very familiar. She certainly knows how to grab your attention from the start and she draws you into the story from pretty early on and then that's it, you are hooked. That's how I feel at any rate. Abbey Clancy writes so realistically and uses such vivid descriptions that I felt as though I was part of the story myself, although the world of celebrity, whilst attractive in some ways is blooming scary in others.
In short, Abbey Clancy has done it again and she has written one heck of a fabulous book, which I will definitely be recommending to other readers. I will definitely be reading more of Abbey's work in the future. The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is a very well deserved 5* out of 5*.

It is an uplifting story full of drama, regrets, insecurities, romance, friendship, family and long distance relationships. It focuses mainly on the romantic relationships of the characters and the ups and downs that they experience.

Jessika has finally got her big music break and heads off to the USA to tour with gorgeous megastar Cooper Black after they record a track together. She reluctantly leaves behind her new fiancé, Daniel, who is a well-known music producer and her soul mate. He encourages her to take this chance of a lifetime as he will be busy anyway producing the lovely Vella’s new music album.

Being in different time zones, they struggle to find time to chat and Jessika is left feeling a bit insecure one night when Vella answers Daniel’s phone.

Jessika sets about embracing the party lifestyle and has fun with Cooper and the rest of the entourage. The supporting characters like Neale and JB are really fun and interesting. You immediately feel like they’ll be great friends to have and that they’ll always be loyal.

The story offers a glimpse into what I can imagine is the reality of being a celebrity and having to living your life in the public eye surrounded by paparazzi and exposure on social media. Abbey is likely using her own experiences to add depth to her story.

Despite the title, I’ll be Home for Christmas, I believe that this book can be enjoyed at any time of the year. It’s a heart-warming, life affirming romantic tale with interesting characters that you will find entertaining from beginning to end. It was great to read a book set both in Northern England and the USA.

It’s the perfect time of the year to snuggle up on the sofa with this charming book and a hot chocolate filled to the brim with melting marshmallows!

Jessy is a down to earth girl from Liverpool; but as Jessika Malone, she’s a famous singer who’s offered a once in a lifetime opportunity to tour America with sexy Cooper Black. The problem is, Jessy struggles with all the attention, and the lack of privacy that come with being a celebrity. Plus, she’s going to have to leave her soulmate, record producer Daniel who’s also going to be faced with temptations of his own. Can Jessy cope with more fame, and will their relationship survive a month apart from each other?

I really loved this! The interplay of all the different relationships is fabulous. We all behave differently, and wear different masks depending on who we’re with, and Ms Clancy has beautifully understood this. She’s drawn each character, and each relationship with warmth, humour and believability. My sympathies though, lay with Jessy. She’s the main viewpoint character, and this is so well done, so tightly focussed, and her experiences, emotions, and thoughts are so real, she just leaps off the page. I felt as if I was in the position of a best friend, and like any good best friend I found myself laughing, and crying with her, sometimes getting frustrated and mad with her, but always rooting for her and wanting her to find happiness.

Buy this if you want a wonderfully entertaining, fun, and heart-warming read, that’s full of fabulous characters (Neale anyone?), glamour, and romantic conflict. Oh, and stock up on tissues. Preferably Christmas ones.

Cute story about a young pop star's rocky love life. I thought it was good fun and the narrator's voice was great!
However, I had a few problems with this book. The pacing was quite off - at some points, long periods of time skip by or the writing just leaps to a while later with no explanation of what happened in the gap, then loads and loads will happen in a day or two. I also didn't particularly love the main relationship going on
My biggest grudge though was that there is no Christmas in this book! I read this at the start of December hoping it would kick start my Christmas mood, but it is not a feature of this book at all :( Christmas is mentioned very briefly in passing, but it is no where near enough to warrant Christmas being mentioned in the title and being the theme of the book cover.
Overall, this is definitely a fun book, but don't save it for Christmas time - it can be read at any time in the year!

After years spent singing at children’s Birthday parties Jessika is finally living the dream as a recording artist. Her career is already on the up when her talent is spotted and she is offered the opportunity of a lifetime to record a track and tour with American mega star Cooper Black. It’s what she has always dreamed of, but upping sticks for weeks on end isn’t as easy as it seems when she has to consider fiance Daniel too.

Reunited childhood sweethearts, the pair have made a life together in Daniel’s remote home and Jessika fears this new project could change the dynamics of their settled lifestyle. Daniel also works in the music business, behind the scenes, so understand the pressures and commitments required and urges Jessika to grasp the chance with both hands, especially as he also has a busy upcoming schedule too. But, will the strain on their long-distance relationship make or break them?

As a massive Rom-com lover I couldn’t wait to get my teeth into this novel and I wasn’t disappointed. It’s a beautifully written fast paced story with well-developed and believable characters that had me hooked from the beginning. It’s clear that Abbey has used her own experiences of the ‘Celeb world’ combined with those of her home city of Liverpool as inspiration for this fictional tale which really helped keep the scenarios grounded and realistic. It was also refreshing to read a British book with it’s roots firmly in the North!

I discovered after reading this book that it is actually a squeal to Remember My Name* which was released a few years ago. This didn’t surprise me as there was something in the way the past was written that indicated that the characters have a history. However, this didn’t detract from my enjoyment in any way, it simply made me add the first book to my TBR as I’m keen to discover more!

I absolutely adored this book which offered a glimpse into the high’s and low’s of celebrity and the media plus the pressures this inevitably has on close relationships. My only slight gripe is that being a massive Christmas fan I was expecting this to be a full on festive read to help me get into the seasonal mood, but Christmas was only mentioned a handful of times. I’ll Be Home For Christmas is a strong, solid rom-com read for anytime of the year, don’t be fooled into thinking it’s just for Christmas, all you need to enjoy it is a brew and a comfy seat!

I didn’t even know Abbey Clancy wrote books… yet my ‘allergic to books’ hubby did!
What is that about?!!
I’ll Be Home For Christmas is a pick me up and put me down read, usually with me picking it up and the hubby yelling at me to put it down and get some sleep
I really enjoyed this book, see how the show biz life can turn your life around 360 is beyond my imagination – I definitely couldn’t handle it – so it was interesting to read Jessika’s take on it. You see the ups and a downs that this life brought to her, sometime s with a smile and sometimes with a tear.
This book covered all the bases I’d expect it to – relationships, drama, friendships, loyalty etc. I did feel that there could have been a bit more of a festive Christmas feel to this book, it is in the title after all. That been said, I did really enjoy my first book by Abbey and I have a feeling it won’t be my last.

I'll Be Home For Christmas by Abbey Clancy

Popstar Jessika Malone can’t believe her luck! Not only has she signed a major record deal and is topping the charts with her latest single, she’s just been offered the chance of a lifetime: a tour with gorgeous megastar Cooper Black…

It’s everything she’s ever dreamed of – except that it means travelling thousands of miles from her boyfriend, Daniel, just when he’s finally got down on one knee and popped the question!

I listened to the audiobook version of this, and first of all I wasn't keen on the narrator. Secondly I feel very cheated because I didn't find this book to be Christmassy in the slightest. It was a quick and easy read but honestly not the book for me.

I’ll be Home for Christmas is a feel good holiday romance including the exciting glitz and glamour lifestyle of a pop star on tour!

I really enjoyed this lovely festive story, even if I was rooting for a whole different romance and not the happily ever after the main character wanted!

I pictured Jessika as though she was Abbey Clancy, the blonde hair and Liverpudlian background made it so easy to put them together!

This book was full of really fun characters which made it easy and fun to read and have a few laugh out loud moments!

Definitely recommend adding this to your Christmas reads!

Now I'm not generally a fan of romance novels but I'm always willing to try but this just reminded me why I'm not a fan. The main character Jessika is not only a bit of a sap but she is incredibly selfish too managing to make absolutely everything about her, all the while being a complete hypocrite too (seriously the whole her and Daniel thing and her reaction was ridiculous!). Putting her aside, the rest of the characters weren't much better but at least they had a bit of depth, although this did seem to vary through the book which was a little odd. There also wasn't a lot in the way of Christmas as the story focused on the tour thing that was going on. Just really not for me.

I remember watching Abbey Clancy on Britains Next Top Model. So when I saw she had written a novel. I was intrigued as to whether it would be any good. Im pleased to say it was very enjoyable.
To the general public she is Jessika Malone popstar. To her family and friends she is just Jess , from Liverpool and in a relationship with her childhood friend Daniel. Who is now a big time record producer. Although Jess is a successful popstar. She is very much a home body. When she is offered the chance to guest star on a Cooper Black single. She jumps at the chance. The single does so well Cooper invites Jess on tour with him. Across the United States. Its a huge opporttunity for her. But it means leaving Daniel. Who has just proposed to her. Its only a month away from each other. Daniel will be busy with work. The time will fly by. Abbey Clancy wrote a great mix of characters. Along with a story that moves along at a good pace. Recommended read perfect for the winter months.

A light hearted book this is an easy chic lit read. Not overly Christmassy so it could be enjoyed at any time of the year. A story of relationships, friendship, drama, humour, love and romance. Good settings in both Northern England and the USA. Likeable characters.

I recommend this entertaining, fun, and heart-warming read. Perfect for a holiday read or for a Sunday afternoon on the sofa.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review

A light hearted read but too light hearted for me. Quite superficial and if I didn’t know the author had written a book preceding this one I would have by the end of the first chapter and at regular intervals throughout the book. The story preceding this book was referred to so many times that I wouldn’t have to read it. Lost of melodrama and diva behaviour with platitudes to ‘keeping your feet on the ground’ which if that’s your bag you will be thoroughly satisfied with this read. On the positive side it easy to read.

Thank you Netgalley.

I enjoyed the book. It went at a pace that kept me engaged and was a light palette cleanser.

I’m not sure I had any sympathy for any of the characters (or even liked them very much, apart from Jess’ Dad). The plot was very cliched & predictable, but I didn’t expect anything else. It actually read like a chick-flick & I could easily imagine it being a straight-to-TV movie.

I’m not sure where Christmas even comes into it as it’s barely even mentioned! So a bit disappointed as I picked this as a December read for that reason.

An enjoyable enough story but the cover is extremely misleading. The book is not Christmassy in the slightest and I purposely wanted to read it to get in the festive mood.
If I look past that its a quite good read if slightly predictable. Its full of relatable British humour and I could actually hear Abbey's voice as I read the character. I would recommend it to fans of 'chick lit' but it missed the mark for a festive read.

I quite enjoyed this book, it was an endearing and heartwarming read. It was fast-paced story following Jessika as she went on tour with a hot US pop star.

The characters had depth and I loved the secondary characters who were full of warmth, support and friendship. Neale was definitely a favourite of mine. You couldn't help but crack a smile when you read about his flamboyant activities.

The book portrays a realistic approach to life and separation from those you love. We don't always know what situation we will be pit in nor how we will react, and the book covered this well.

Despite this being a Christmas book, it wasn't mentioned too much. In fact, I think the title says it all... Jessica will be home from the tour by Christmas. A refreshing read for those that don't like the festivities gate-crashing everything they read.

I enjoyed this book, it was a quick read for me and I would recommend to those that love a good romance.
