Grāmatas, kas ir sērijās "A Brief Introduction...", vienmēr noder gadījumos, ja kāds jautājums interesē, taču tādu fundamentāli apjomīgu "ķieģeli" ar jēdziena, kustības, virziena, industrijas utt. pētniecību nav plānots darboties. Nevarētu, protams, arī teikt, ka par budismu es nezinātu neko, taču šis apjomā diezgan nelielais krājums bija vērtīgs, lai radītu kopsavilkuma sajūtu. Šķiet, ka visvairāk "iesācēja padomdevējs" man patika tāpēc, ka grāmatas pirmajā daļā bija skaidrota budisma saistība (vai atšķirības) ar citām ticībām un zinātnes nozarēm, piemēram, budisms un psiholoģija.
