American Conspiracies and Cover-Ups by Douglas Cirignano is a nonfiction collection of various interviews from various key people involved in various conspiracies. Mr. Cirignano has done an enormous amount of research in some of the most questionable historical events in America.

The book begins with an interview with a WWII veteran about FDR and Pearl Harbor. The author then interviews one of LBJ's lawyers about the possibility of Lyndon Baines Johnson's involvement in JFK's assassination. Another interview about Martin Luther King's assassination follows. All the interviews were loaded with interesting tidbits that have not been widely known or reported.

Cirignano interviews an IRS agent about the constitutionality of income tax. This is followed up with the unconstitutionality of the Federal Reserve Bank. Causes and cures over AIDs and cancer are other chapters. He even interviews an activist on the accuracy of our voting. The Oklahoma bombing as well as 911 are other chapters that question whether or not the government was involved with these acts of terrorism. New World Order is mentioned once, twice, or maybe a few dozen times, but who is counting? It's becoming more and more obvious!

My Review: This is a long book that is dense with information. I especially loved Cirignano's chapters on 911, the Federal Reserve, and the IRS. For example, I did not know that a Bush (from the Bush Dynasty) was in charge of security at the World Trade Center. Nor did I know that the independent council that followed 911 was ran by a Bush insider!

The entire book was educational, informative, and well-written. Without spoiling the book, it manages to add fuel to the New World Order fire that continues to burn brighter than ever throughout the world. Our country has sold out to bankers, big business, and overall greed. We cannot rely on the media to tell us the truth as they are either part of the problem or just sheep like the rest of us. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves history and questions how it is written. BTW-I hope Mr. Cirignano follows up on the impeachment/Trump/etc. 5/5 Stars.

I was excited to read this book but wasn’t a fan of the format. I wish it had presented opposing viewpoints and had some depth.

Instead, it seemed like a bunch of interviews stitched together into a book. I didn’t learn anything new, really. I ended up skimming it.

This audible book was recorded in 2019 but the contents seem a little more dated than that. I am generally not a person interested in conspiracy theory‘s. But I did decide to listen to this particular book because I wanted to hear some of the ideas that have been generated in recent years. My only exposure to most of them has been via places like Facebook.

Now that I have listen to the entire book I am convinced that the author is a serious conspiracy theorist. He is a person who thinks that if A, B and C are true then probably D) is also true. He is also a serious convert to the idea that people are trying to create a world government. The United Nations is just the most current example of that effort. He believes a world government would obviously be a bad idea.

I did find some interviews more informative and interesting than others which should not be surprising. But a lot of the authors ideas get a whole lot more attention repetitiously. Occasionally interviews are more of the sort where the author talks for about a page and then the person being interviewed says “yes.“ and the cut and paste technique is liberal are used to repeat the authors ideas in chapter after chapter.

I did learn some new things in this book and actually did come to believe in some instances that things are a bit fishy in how they have been presented. But the book does skip over what seems to me some obvious questions as conspiracy theories are presented. So I wound up thinking that there is probably some reason to be questioning government information but also that some people do Manage to go a little over the top occasionally in thinking the worst.

My conclusion? There is probably almost always more to the story than what we are told. And yes the government does regularly lie.

The book was great, whether you agree with everything or not. There’s a lot of info to pursue. I especially appreciated the interview with Chomsky, not only because I like him, but because he and the author had various disagreements. I appreciate that open dialogue. Unfortunately the rest of the book didn’t have any of that tension and it felt like the author was just padding his position.

There are legitimate conspiracies here, but I think the author crosses a line somewhere. That’s the thing about conspiracy theories - it’s hard to know where the line between truth and fiction lies.

There are no new revelations to be had out of the book.

I did enjoy the interview with Noam Chomsky. The author wanted an answer from Mr. Chomasky on severely questions and did not get it.

I was left a lof of questions than answers. What is author's solution to fixing the banking system?
Spoiler- The Govertment can own land: National Parks,military bases, and other sites.

A third party did does make the system better.

Also, please leave some of the sources so the reader can investigate more.

An interesting read. While I wasn’t a fan of the loooooooong interviews, the supporting documentation for each of these cover-ups was quite fascinating. Several are proven true and some just leave you wondering. All still seem very applicable to today’s coverage of the government in the media. That said, don’t read if you are easily angered by such material…this will just be fuel for the fire.

This book is all over the place, If you aren’t aware that there are conspiracy theories floating around out there, this book is for you. But if you are aware already, there isn’t really much in this book. The author fails to provide enough information to help you decide if any of them might possibly be true. He should have picked one topic and stuck with it.
