After the fall, Will drags Hannibal out of the Atlantic and they find their way north to a remote part of Labrador, where they try to make a life together.
I’m freaking out that this is actually on here because I’ve read this like 5 times in the past week and will keep reading it every month or so because my hearrrttttt <3
"You bought me that shirt," he said. "In Florence. It wasn’t yours. It fit me perfectly." "I did. The trousers too. All of it. A wardrobe." "Did you really think—" "I hoped," Hannibal said.
The only damn fanfiction I’ll ever put on here. Since I came across it in 2018, I’ve read it once a year, every year—more if it calls to me. Just exquisite. Is it a literary novel? No; it depends on its readers having consumed the source material beforehand and focuses intensely on the central pairing. But is it a category apart from any other fic I’ve read? Yes. The writing is just lovely and the story drags me in, bundles me away in the tundra with the characters and won’t let me go until the last word. I think it about it for days after a reread. Something about it gnaws down to the bone of some very particular human experiences and emotions.
This is probably one of the best fanfics I have ever read. I’m reading some of the most famous on the Hannibal fandom and this one deserves all the praise it gets. It is true to the characters and the environment, and there are some scenes that are now living rent free on my mind forever (the teeth one, omg 🥹).
I've never read a fanfic before, idk I'm just super picky. but holy shit, this is awesome! like legit the characterisation is so accurate, this could be cannon and I wouldn't be surprised.
