This is the second book I've read by this writing duo. I liked it but liked Broken, Brad and Lance's story, better. If you've read The Bradford Brothers series by Ms. Conners you will know Riley and Jensen, who appear in this story quite a bit. Frederick and Ethan's story does have mention of childhood abuse, sexual harassment, and sexual assault which may be a trigger for some readers.

I liked Frederick and Ethan but felt their relationship and declaration of feelings was rushed, especially given the serious circumstances going on between the two. I also thought there were a few things, like being off base without checking in for a few days without punishment, that were a little unbelievable for what might happen in real life. These two characters did make me feel though. I cried for Frederick and all he had been through. I felt for Ethan and his conflicted thoughts on how to handle his feelings for Frederick while dealing with serious charges. I am happy with how everything turned out but won't give away what happened. I am looking forward to the next book by these two and hoping it's Wisely and George's story.

🌵Good premise, plenty of 🔥steam, but a bit of a fractured fairy tale😕
June 29, 2018
The general plot premise was interesting -- the idea that a dreadful trumped up accusation could endanger a man's whole career and future -- but this story did not make much sense. Military men who are never working and are off the base doing personal stuff more than on the job? Statements of undying, forever love between two people who have barely been together for a few weeks and when one of them has accused the other of serious crimes and has been characterized as traumatized and unstable? These do not make for a very realistic story. Frederick, the younger man protagonist, is in his late 20's but acts much younger and, for me, one scene made him appear so stupid I could not contain my astonishment (all to do with leaving the door open). I liked Ethan, the more mature hero better. These fellows spend a good part of the story in lust, but the climax is so-o-o saccharine it just did not fit with the rest of the story.

This tale had promise but IMO could not live up to it. If steam and passion is your thing, this story does provide plenty of MM s@xy times.

I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.

Yay! I love that Juliana and Bruce teamed up again to give us another M/M story from the Bradford Brothers. Yes, M/M, so if that's not your thing you should probably skip this one. But, if you are open and adventurous, kind of like Ethan in this book, then you should DEFINITELY read it. Ethan is in trouble and it all starts with Frederick. Too bad he just can't resist him. This is a hot read, centering around a very serious topic, and the HEA is just beautiful. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Wow!! I loved this book set in the Bradford brothers world!! Ethan and Freddie are military men who have just come out to their friends and to the service. Ethan is a year away from retiring, and has just come out at the wedding of Lance and Brad. He figures he HEA will have to wait a year. Everything changes when Freddie freaks out in a therapy session and accuses him of assault. They know each other a little, so the whole thing is a shock to Ethan. Going against Riley's advice he goes to confront Freddie. He isn't prepared to find a man ashamed of what he said, nor is he prepared for the chemistry between them. This is sweet, sexy tale filled with drama, anger, cover ups and yet plenty of heart. I just loved it!!

Great story about overcoming adversity!

Ethan is a year away from retirement in the Navy when he is unexpectedly accused of sexual harassment by another officer. But the thing is he didn’t do it and he has no idea why his name is being slandered. On a mission to find out the truth he meets with the guy in question only to find there is more to this story than meets the eye.
Even though Frederick is the reason for all this trouble, he can’t help but feel that he needs to help him somehow overcome his past. Plus the guy is hot, hot, hot!

Warning! This story does involve sexual abuse and harassment throughout and is an M/M romance!

This was a good read and I loved the cameos from the Bradford brothers series.

After reading the first book I was so looking forward to seeing what you had in mind for this. I can safely say I was pleasantly surprised. It blew me away with how well written it was and how hard it had to be to get it just right. The way you told us of how Ethan and Frederick had to overcome so many obstacles and such had me rooting for them the whole way. No person should ever have to be bullied and abused in that way. I'm so glad that you showed that through it all it can always turn out. Just keep faith and it will guide you.  Fabulous and I truly recommend it. I give it 5 stars. Another masterful story from Bruce Rodgers and Juliana Conners. This one is gut wrenching, with so much emotion. The characters are fully developed, and it’s hard not to wish mayhem fall on several of their heads. Captain Stern is a disgrace not only to the Navy, but mankind as well. The love between Ethan and Freddie is amazing; the HEA couldn’t get there fast enough. A truly beautiful read...(I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and was totally blown away. Could not put it down!) ❤️❤️

Fractured was a good M/M romance, although I thought it was a little rushed. Ethan goes from being accused of sexual assault to jumping right into things with Frederick, who in my mind, needed to recover from his own personal hell before he gave into his desires. I also didn't like the explanation for Frederick's mistake. But after that, things progressed fairly well. I think this could have been an improved story with some of those issues corrected. I liked Ethan and I felt so bad for Frederick's suffering. Good premise and steamy scenes though.

This is a book you will either like or hate and to be honest I'm on the fence. This MM story of rife with powerful emotions, drama and turmoil. What had the potential to be an enjoyable MM romance is tainted by horrible accusations against an innocent man. You can't help but feel for the victim, no one should suffer through sexual assault/sexual harrassment. NO One! But with the way the story was written , I could not find it in me to believe that these two would fall in love, much less have a HEA. This is my honest voluntary review.

truly loved this deep and passionate story. It’s a coming out of a 30year Navy Captain who has always denied his “authentic” self until he sees how happy a gay couple could be and so he decides he was good no to live his life. Only when a young Officer actually seduces him that he sees everything he was missing. The fight they have to go thru just to live their lives was horrific but seeing them grow together as a couple was just titilating!

I’m new to the MM genre but I found this book so entertaining and hard to put down.

This could have done with a little more of a slow burn instead of the word ‘love’ uttered after one day.
I have read a lot of books where one of the MC’s had a history of abuse and trauma and their attitude towards sex was way more hesitant an troubled. Not like Frederick who throws himself at the Captain the way he did. I couldn’t believe Ethan would have sex with Frederick the same day he (F) accused him (E) of sexual abuse. Whaaaaat?
But seeing the ratings it’s a case of ‘it’s not the book, it’s me’

Ethan and Frederick’s journey takes the reader on an emotional ride. A glimpse into a world where true feelings go unearthed in many cases. The struggle to be as you are inside, this story shares elation in discovery as well as deals with the sensitive nature of scarring trauma overcome. The story is threaded with the care and lovingness that goes along with finding that person who matches your soul. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this duo ~Angie❤️

Well written story about Brad and Lance. It is written in dual POV and gives the reader much more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters and makes the reader come closer to the story. Nice storyline and plot. A MM story that is a bit different from the usual because of the writing style.
Worth the read.

A good read.

This was a good read but the prior book was better so I give it a 3.5 Stars. Not to sure where the disconnect is, I was confused with Frederick because I couldn’t relate to him. His loving with Ethan was hot and sweet but at times seem desperate but maybe I am not reading his character correctly. Overall a good read that others may like better than I did.

This was a great read and another nice collaboration between the two authors. The love story of Ethan and Freddie at times was very emotional and at others it was heart warming. The characters fit together perfectly and the storyline was well constructed. I look forward to reading more from these authors.

This is a well written book about secrets, abuse, trust, love and desires. It’s also about both sides of coming out as gay. It is a suspenceful romance that pulled me in from the first page and didn't let me go until the end. The book is a part of the Bradford brother’s series. It is a standalone book with no cliffhangers.

Frederick is at his therapists and accused the wrong person of raping him to his therapist.
He ends up having a relationship with the man he accuses and they fall for each other.

Will things end up badly for them both because of the charges? Or will the right man get put away?

This story was incredibly gritty. Frederick's past was very rough and tugged at my heart. Ethan was afraid to believe what was in front of him, but he was sweet. There were a couple times when I felt it was too preachy, but the story itself was good.

I received a copy of this ARC as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.

I thought this book started off a bit slow and I just never connected with the characters. I was really hoping to like this one too, since I enjoyed Broken. Overall, the story was ok. I'd be willing to read these authors again.

I enjoyed this book but I felt like maybe everything was rushed between Ethan and Frederick.

Ethan is about to retire and is on a mission to find his true love to spend his life with. Only thing is he has been accused of sexual harassment. Now he has to clear his name or everything he has worked for will be for nothing.

Frederick has had a tough life and just when he thought maybe he can breathe a little things do not go well for him especially when someone who is supposed to be a mentor makes life hell for him. This mentor makes him put a false claim on Ethan or he will make Fredericks life miserable.

When Ethan and Frederick see each other things happen that are not supposed to and now these two have to work together to make things right or one of them will lose everything.

It was a great story just wished it could have taken its time.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This is my second book by this author duo. It's a M/M book with a HEA ending.
Frederick was sexual assualted but because of all his past tramas he mistakenly accuses the wrong man and now he's trying to fix it without jail time himself.
Ethan has just come out and is ready to start is first relationship when he is looking at jail time for something he didn't do. Now he wants to confront the man making up the lies about him. But what he finds is a broken man just wanting someone to show him affection.
I only have one complaint on this book. I think for a SEAL Frederick is just too whinny. But other than that I can't wait for the next book. I hope we get George And Wisely story.
