Anna Santos is a USA Today Bestselling Author who likes to write about shifters, vampires, angels, mermaids, fae, and occasionally humans.

Anna always keeps her readers on their toes with adrenaline-fuelled adventures, genuine characters, strong female leads, and romantic plots.

When she’s not writing, she’s probably reading or spending too watching TV shows. As an introvert, home is her safe harbor. Yet, she’s known for leaving the house from time to time and having her family throw a party because they haven’t seen her for days. Then they ask her how many books she wrote while gone, assuming that writing must be super easy.

Anna guarantees that it’s not, but she never wanted to be anything else. Unless there’s a possibility of being a powerful supernatural being in an awesome world where unicorns and fairies are real. Then, she would probably go there and never come back.

Beth has been Alaric's victim. Eric is Alaric's brother. What will happen when she meets him? Can he protect her from his brother? we do have a lot of abuse, so this book might not be for everyone.

Wow. For Beth and her sister finding their soulmate didn’t work out the way it should have. The vampire who was Marie’s so called soul mate, turned out extremely cruel. Unbelievable story.

I absolutely loved this book! The characters are enthralling. It is part of a series but does well as a standalone. However, reading the previous books provides details about the characters and more of the story that help to enrich your enjoyment of this book. Beth and Eric's story is a reminder that true love can overcome so much. This book is so much about Beth's journey through healing and how Eric's love helped her to not only get back to herself but to become more of herself. That is what a mate does. Beth makes Eric the happiest man, well vampire man, on the planet. I rooted for this couple and for Beth to overcome the horrors of what Eric's insane brother put her through. I do have to wonder if a real man can be as patient, caring, and loving as Eric. He makes you dreamy-eyed.

I love that in these books, vampires are not in the shadows and the night time. They can live their life. Affinity makes that a reality for the supernatural community as a whole. Though they cannot live there, Affinity is a place where humans, still unsuspecting for the most part, co-exist with supernaturals as they own businesses, visit, and shop in the town. There are twists and revelations in this story that lead to a few aha moments, and the end makes you want to pick up the next book...immediately. It is the kind of cliffhanger that makes you want more.

Anna Santos’ Shattered (Immortal Love Series Book 4) is a dark powerful paranormal vampire romance. I’m not going to summarize the plot since the publisher’s blurb tells you what you need without spoiling things. There are indeed horrific themes, mostly courtesy of Alaric, who does indeed make a reappearance. The heroine here, Beth, has been traumatized by him and starts off terrified of his brother. Luckily Eric is the antithesis of Alaric and will do whatever is needed to help Beth deal with what happened. The result is a well-plotted and well written tale that I definitely very much enjoyed despite those dark aspects. My only caveat is that there is a cliffhanger here, but if you’re someone who hates them here’s a pro tip: simply bookmark the start of the final chapter (33) and hold off reading it until you’re ready to start the next book. This one actually comes to a perfectly satisfactory interim conclusion by the end of chapter 32. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. As I did read to the actual end of the book and hit that cliffhanger, I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

This was a wonderful continuation of the other books in the series.
Wonderful world building happening.
Lovely well written characters that you want to read about and follow.
Plot and story line are wonderfully written and engaging.
Enjoyable read.

Shattered by Anna Santos is the fourth book in the Immortal Love Series. In this stand alone book which begin right after Spellbound ended, Beth escapes from the prison in which Alaric kept her but she is heartbroken because her sister is still Alaric’s prisoner. She is also afraid when she sees Eric because she confuses him with Alaric. Anna explains who Eric is and how he is not his brother. However, Beth is slow to trust and Eric realizes he will need to be patient with his distressed mate. This is the story of how Eric learns how to help his mate to accept and love him after all the abuse she suffered at his older brothers hands. This story is a wonderfully special tale of how selfless love and perseverance from Eric is able to help Beth to overcome her fears. I loved the way the characters are written and that the moral of this tale is that it is never to late to find true love. This fourth book in the Immortal Love series is just a great as all the rest. It is the perfect read for any paranormal romance reader. Note that this book is part of a phenomenal series and are wonderful when read individually but are even better when read in the correct order. Be aware that this story is complete but does end with an unexpected cliffhanger that leads to the next book in the series. Shattered is a wonderful story of how love conquers almost all.

Beth has been Alaric’s victim for some time and is terrified when she first meets his brother, who is her mate. But Eric is as different from his evil brother Alaric as the two can be. He is instead dedicated to Beth and will help her recovery in any way possible. He is patient and kind with her as she recovers.

Aside from the pain Beth has endured through torture and rape, her sister Marie has turned on her as well. Beth’s story focuses on her healing from the damage Alaric has caused and her growing romance with Eric as she begins to heal.

This continues to be an exciting series with well-defined characters and a fast-paced story line. The twists and turns sustain the tension throughout. Once again, the story was somewhat dark, but the reader will still find it captivating. There were uncomfortable parts in this book for me concerning torture and abuse. Although I have never been a victim of either, I empathize and have severe discomfort reading about it. This author is such a good writer of emotions that I didn’t want to read those parts too carefully! Her writing will let you feel the characters’ emotions and get closer to them. This book will not disappoint you as it moves us further into the story!

This was a very hard story to read. It only spoke of the abuse Beth suffered, which was hard to read regardless, rather than put you right in the heart of the abuse. As the book progressed, I was intrigued by Eric's ability to care for Beth with such sensitivity. That was so beautifully written. The insight she gave to her time with Alaric and her sister was shocking. I understood her confusion and I understood her sister's actions because the author wrote with great passion and descriptive prose, it was easy to place yourself in her shoes and her sister's shoes. The characters were well developed. The storyline intriguing and the action fast paced. I was totally immersed in the plot and I found it difficult to let go when the story ended with such a shocking scene. I am looking forward to reading more about these characters.

I really enjoyed this story! I loved getting Beth's story finally. She definitely deserves a happily ever after but she is still on her journey for one. She has been tortured and raped for years and has had to watch her sister turn on her within the whole situation. This is the first book for Eric and Beth's story but we do meet them and get parts of their story in the previous books, especially the one right before this. There are some parts that you will understand a little more if you've read that book but this can be read as a standalone, except for the cliff hanger at the end lol. It's well written and it flowed well. It kept my attention the entire time. There is very little sex in this book, which makes total sense with Beth's history and her recovery. I loved how patient Eric is with her. It was really well done and I can't wait for the next book.

I don't know why this one didn't seem as good as the others. I know it has been a while since I read book 3 but it took longer for me to make the connection. This book could almost be read on its own despite having some characters from the previous books. The last two books centered more on Jessica and the king so it was nice to break away again and center on other characters the reader met briefly. Although the book was really good, I think it lost something with very little interaction from Alaric. In the previous books, there was always a lot of action because of him. This book focuses on Beth, her healing after being rescued from Alaric and her budding romance with Eric. There really is no action until literally the last few pages when Alaric makes an appearance. I guess I just missed all the chaos and drama that Alaric causes but it was a nice love story.

I liked the book and it's hero (Eric) and heroine (Beth), but I disliked the cliff-hanger ending. I hate having to wait for the next book to be written. That complaint aside, this is a powerful, emotional story. There are some dark parts that deal with abuse and torture, and the after-effects on the victim, but there is also caring, love, and healing. You definitely need to read the preceding books before this one, or you will not understand fully the history of the characters and what is going on. This one will keep you glued to your seat, and the ending will make you wish it was December (when the next book is due out.)

A vampire romance of soulmates. This is the fourth book of the series. What happens when your soulmate is evil and loves to hurt you and those you love? What happens when you are the one she used to love? Beth was tortured every way possible by the male that should of loved his soulmate, her sister. The story has some very dark moments as we learn of all the terrible things that have happened. We watch as Beth tries to pull her shattered self back together. I loved so much how her soulmate has so much patience and love for her. He definitely is the perfect mate. Lots of dark pasts but lots of love of a mate and family. The story does end in a cliffhanger and I can’t wait for the next book.

Shattered the #4 book in the Immortal Love series, a paranormal vampire romance story that is Captivating, thrilling and heart pacing. A story of abuse, love, strength, loyalty, patience & healing, though Beth has to over come her fears as she comes face to face her Abuser n Tormentor & believes that some how her mate will find & rescue her before he Hurts more of her loved ones. The big question is can she be able to keep it together before she's rescued or escape from the demented & deranged Aleric? That's what I can't wait to find out in the next installment of the Immortal Love series by Anna Santos of the best Paranormal writer of all times, I bet you reading this series definitely worth your time.

Alaric is still on the loose. Marie has lost her mind, is pregnant and stayed with Alaric when he escaped. Well at least that's how it was when this started. Things change and change fast. Beth is having a hard time in recovery between the guilt and self-depreciating banter that continues in her head. Constantly questioning everything and everyone. I have to admit it became rather tedious. Eric is amazing and patient and gentle helping her heal and walking the tightrope of her emotional swings. It is a cliff-hanger as the series has been all along the way. Great read can't wait for more, more action, more intrigue, more of this family and all that comes with them.

First let me state that I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review.

Holy shiznet!!! Ms. Santos weaves a story so that you can actually feel the characters pain & happiness along with them. Beth has been badly abused and suffers from PTSD. Finding her mate in none other than her tormentors brother is devastating to her. Eric is kind & gentle with her and helps her heal. This story has a cliffhanger, so I can't tell you the next part. But know that I will be reading the next book to see what happens. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up

This is the 4th book in the immortal series. It is a paranormal fantasy with the romance between Eric and Beth.
.
This book solely focuses on the recovery of Beth after being imprisoned and constantly abused by a mad vampire.
.
The story itself is so cute and one word to describe them is "adorable". As I said earlier it focuses on the recovery along with finding a mate (Eric), things that Beth experienced and how they change the dynamics about her reviews on the relationship itself and life in general..
.
Theme of story is sad but you don't feel sad or depressed coz relation is so adorably written. It fills your heart.

This story sucked me in. I need next book as it ended on heavy cliffhanger That was so so much... That this author once again made me into pieces! And craving next book!
Beth was kept by Alaric for a Long Time. He wanted Her, but Her sister was his mate... Crazy right? And he is a saddist! So Both sisters were abuse during their captivity! So They became shattered. Are They beyond repair?
This read was truly emotional and Full of anxiety as well as problems of dealing with abuse That nad happened in The past.
Ms. Santos is a Great storyteller That for me really entertained in this story!

This book a little different from the others in the series because the situation is a little different. The book was absolutely great though! I really felt for Beth. The ending was a complete surprise and I didn't see it coming! I read this book in one day because I simply could not put it down. I can't wait to see what happens next. I really hope Alaric gets whats coming to him! I love to hate his character.

A new take within the story. Alaric continues in this book, with an even darker twist to story. Eric and his family come after Alaric never expecting to find Beth and Marie and the condition they were in due to his brother. To find his mate after so long, but learning she's terrified pf him. What will he have to go through to win her heart? Will he succeed? Will he stop Alaric? You'll have to read to find out.

Shattered is book four of the Immortal Love Series and I recommend you read the first three books to fully understand what is happening in this book better. In this book Beth finds her soulmate after years of being tortured and raped only to find out it's her captor's little brother Eric. This is a fast paced, intriguing story with unexpected twists and a cliffhanger that had me on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. Shattered
Paranormal Vampire Romance
Immortal Love Series Book 4
Anna Santos

This was a great book. I loved it as an addition to the series!!. one thing if you read reviews - there is a cliff hanger ending at the end of the book that goes into the next one. I myself hate those so I wanted you to know. That however was my only complaint. The rest of the book was phenomenal. Eric and Beth were perfect. You won't want to miss it - just maybe skip the last chapter until the next book comes out!!

Yay. It's finally Eric's story. I never thought that his mate would have to endure such harrowing experience. I hated his brother more. I felt so much for Beth. I was with her when she was thinking of the what ifs. If they were able to find each other before that incident. I am happy that they finally found each other and I knew Eric would be a great mate. Beth is finally able to be herself and recover slowly from her ordeal.

This is Eric and Beth's story. We all know from the other books that Beth is the sister of Marie who is mate to Alaric the evil vampire who stops at nothing to ruin lives of others. Beth, finally escapes to freedom and is faced with Eric, who looks identical. With all she has been through, will she be able to put Alaric out of her mind and let the mating bond help or will she let Alaric win? Read to find out.

There are so many emotional things in this. A lot of abuse so if that is a trigger I wouldn't read this. Otherwise a very intense, exciting, surprising, abusive, loving at points and so much more. Read the blurb. No spoilers. I highly recommend it. I was given a review copy by booksprout and voluntarily review it.
