Broken: A Novel of Deceit and Redemption

by Bill Crowley

Successfully scheming for a miracle to advance her life made Meg, the ambitious daughter of an English tavern owner, into a respected gentlewoman. It also led to dealing with bloody pirates in old New York, murdering her first husband with her Dutch lover, and unknowingly freeing demonic powers. Yet three centuries and multiple reincarnations had changed Meg. She now struggles to restore what was lost even while recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. As the wealthy and envied Sue van Lear, her seventh and last reincarnation, she faces an impossible choice. With only hours remaining Meg agonizes over sharing her mind and body with the spirit of the woman who had been raised to marry her own first and slaughtered husband. If she chooses wrongly, the world becomes more vulnerable and her reincarnated first husband again experiences premature death. After Meg makes the hard decisions, the novel reaches its climax in a supernatural confrontation with the demonic in Athens, Ohio, a renowned center of the paranormal.
