Ryland's Inferno

Rate this book
He ran because of fear, but was found because of love. . .

The moment Blayze McKnight joins the Pryde Pack he knows it is only a matter of time before everyone finds out that he is not what he claims to be. Being the last of his kind, Blayze was never taught the way of the dragon. Because the man he wants he can never claim as his. After shifting into his true form to save the man he deeply cares for, he runs. Fear of being rejected Blayze turns his back on the friends and the pack he once called home. And giving up on ever finding his Draco Corde. His dragon heart.

Ryland Burnett has never been wrong before, especially when he follows his gut. The day he met Blayze McKnight he knew the man belonged completely to him. And they are mates for life. After being injured in a fight, he wakes up in the hospital expecting to see his mate by his side, only to hear the man is gone. Ryland wastes no time and goes in search of his soul mate.

Finding Blayze is the easy part, but what happens next neither expected. Will Ryland and Blayze's love be strong enough for what they face next?

I am enjoying this series for the most part. I had few issues with this book. First of all, I found Blayze extremely irritating for the whole first part of the book. It was extremely lucky for him that Ryland was so patient because many would have given up on him. Yes, he didn’t know much about his kind, but he should have known enough about Ryland to trust him to recognize his own mate. The other issue was I felt the author started adding way too many elements to this story. Towards the end of the story it was like the author decided to throw almost anything she could find into the story. The only thing she left out was the kitchen sink. I found myself rolling my eyes a bit at the end. Also, the author still needs to have someone proof read her books. She used the wrong word multiple times and here’s a note for authors: spell-check doesn’t catch everything.

Still even with all the issues I had with the story, I enjoyed it for the most part. I like the characters and now I’m invested in the story and want to know what’s going to happen to these characters in the future. Hopefully the author will pair it down a bit and get a good editor.

Ryland's Inferno
By Giovanna Reaves

Ryland has known from the moment they first met that Blayze is his fated mate, but Blayze keeps denying it. When Blayze sees Ryland severely hurt he loses his control and shifts to save him. Feeling that the pack he's been living with for years won't be accepting of his dracomen form he takes off and goes into hiding. Ryland hunts him down to bring him back, but Blayze still stubbornly believes they aren’t mates. After a vicious act on another pack and both Ryland and Blayze are sent to investigate their lives are forever changed in many ways.

I loved this book. Loved all the characters and various storylines too. However I would suggest you read the series in order as I skipped over the 1st book to read the 2nd and I'm clearly at a loss on many intricacies within the storyline.

Despite the fact I loved it I'm seriously annoyed with it as well. Hence the 3 stars instead of 4. The ending was perfectly set up to end that storyline and the villain. They had the So instead of an otherwise perfect ending the villain gets away AGAIN!! If the story continued on into a 3rd book and then completely ended I wouldn't be upset in the slightest, but instead there's a note at the end of the book saying book three 3 is coming in 2019. Two years later here we are with no book and an unfinished series. This is the 3rd series this has happened with in the last 2 months and it just keeps getting more aggravating everytime it does. All it would've taken was an extra couple paragraphs and the bad guy would be dead and series finished. 'Nuff said.

As much as I liked Duncan and Jordan in this book seeing as the series wasn't finished I'm not bothering to read the first one now.

The book is in both Ryland and Blayze's POV. The angst level is medium.

What a great second book in the Pryde Shifters series!! I loved it! Gia has created a wondrous world. The characters are full of life and so real. They will pull you into their story and not turn you lose til the last page, if then. Yes, this needs to be read in sequence. Yes, it is a cliffhanger. I can't wait for the next book.
Blayze has disappeared. Fled after revealing to the world that he is the rarest of shifters, a dragon. He refuses to acknowledge his dragon heart, his fated mate. Ryland's wolf won't let him rest until he finds Blayze, his fated mate. He will go to any length to make Blayze embrace him as his mate. Even if he must walk through fire to do so.
There are new friends and family, old, loyal friends, a pack that accepts Blayze just as he is, mpreg, enemies, worst kind of betrayal, love and compassion, passion, bravery, and MM sex. As the series is on-going, there is HFN/HEA.
Due to language, violence, and MM sex, this book is intended for 18+ readers.

I took off a full star for the editing. While nothing was spelled incorrectly, and the punctuation was good, there were so very many examples of the wrong word being used that it really got to be a bit annoying. Sometimes the word used was similar to the intended one, and sometimes not.

I have to also say that I got very tired of Blayze denying his mating pull toward Ryland. Just because he didn't know who a dracomen mating bond feels like doesn't equate to not having it. Additionally, if anyone should know what the effect of a rejected mating in a lykosian would be, shouldn't that be Blayze?

I did, however, enjoy the story when Blayze finally accepted the truth and I loved the continuation of the impact on the world by our favorite Nixian king. I will anxiously await the next book to see how the decisions made at the end of this book will play out long term.

Ryland and Blayze story was another masterpiece in which it masterfully continues to construct on the complicated spider web that are the events and all their lives.
In its silk are woven secrets, betrayal, greed and a wounded heart that chosen the wrong road of vengeance to right the wrongs against him and embracing the disillusion.
The danger and adrenaline are to the max as events unfold and things that were kept tight are make known.
I liked how the sweet and loving moments interwoven, the bonding and found family as well as the friendship and the connections made along the way.
They had an hard earned happiness they achieved while still fighting the enemy and they are enjoying every reprieve moment they get.
I thoroughly enjoyed the read and I'm looking forward to see what happens next.

Ryland's Inferno is the second book in the Pryde Shifter Series. This is not a standalone and should be read after Jordan's Pryde as it starts right after. This is Blayze and Ryland's story. I was pulled in from the beginning of the story and couldn't put the book down until I finished it. I loved all the characters and how they were written. A lot goes on in this book and series but I love it. This is a great second book and I can't wait for the next one in the series. I enjoyed the way Sean Crisden narrated the book, his voice is easy to listen to. I would definitely recommend this book and series.

Good and Sweet

Great build up. See Blayze's character evolve from book one was so sweet. Then factor in Ryland becoming such a bad a--. FIRE!Definitely recommend this book.
****To the author....PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT'S PURE AND HOLY....PICK GREAT A GREAT
NARRATOR. NOT A FEMALE! Sean Crisden had a hot, fabulous Ryland Voice...BUT Benjamin Charles would also do it justice! Jacob Morgan/Iggy Toma for Blayze is good. Other MALE recommendations: Teddy Hamilton, Aiden Snow, Aaron Shedlock, Scott Smith

Kids galore

I am so enjoying this story. I love how it has one overarching bad guy but their connection to each character is unique. So much goodness happened in this book. Aside from ryland and blaze and the other side characters I absolutely loved what the kiddos in this story added to the book.

Sometimes in books with a large amount of characters it's hard to keep track. That was not an issue with this book. This book takes some twists and turns that I wasn't expecting. Can't wait to see what happens next.

I am so excited that Sean Crisden is back for the narration of book 2! it has been a few years, but Sean can still do the perfect low, slow, sexy hot Ryland voice. Ryland is determined to get Blayze back. There is no keeping Ryland away. He finds his man and you can just feel the connection between these two. They are friends but there is no denying all the mixed-up feelings. Tons more world building and we get all of our previous characters as well as a few new ones. Exciting, action packed and romantic listen!

Dylan's Inferno

After reading the first book in this series, it was hard to believe that Giovanna Reaves could possibly match the action, romance, intrigue of the first book, but she did with even more explosive action, a little heartache, a big celebration and love ones reunited. I am a devoted fan and can guarantee that you will enjoy books by Giovanna Reaves. Of course, it is a no brainer that this book deserves five stars and more.

Amazing Book

I loved Ryland's and Blayze's story. The book was filled with action, intrigue, adventure, drama, angst, and romance. All of the different types of shifters, fae, dracomen/dtagons, and vampires. Even the gods and goddesses make an appearance. It was so wonderfully written, and being a longer book, there wasn't any lag in the story. This one was so good; it was even better than the first book. I can't wait to see who's in book three.

Okay so I'm not sure If I'd call this a spoiler because it's literally the first scene of the book, it made me cry so much. I haven't felt this sad in a long time which is crazy because the author got me really invested in the parents and their relationship with blaze and each other in one scene. That's good writing. I literally hit the part where he stops to look back for his mom so that she can see he's being good and running away and it was wracking sobs from me😭 Great job author

A Great Addition to Series

I truly could not put this book down. I felt a rollercoaster of emotions as if I were truly a part of the book and the characters' lives. There was romance, drama, plot, and plenty of heartfelt moments. I know there's book 3, but I would hope the author continue the series or spin-off series because I've enjoyed the world-building feel that there's still many stories to be told.

It just kept getting better and better!!! I love all the drama. I love the introduction of so many characters and how they just seem to add so much drama! And that pesky Villain that just doesn't seem to want to die!!! Can't wait to see how they end him.

My favourite part was when the love confessions finally happened. My God! That gave me butterflies. I must say that the love between these two feels very very powerful...

Gratifying Read

After Ryland finds Blayze and calms his fears of being rejected Ryland gets a call from Duncan sending them to help and find out what happened to another pack when their Alpha has died and his mate is giving birth. Excellent story couldn't put it down until finished. Looking to read the next chapter of the lives of these sects and favorite people.

Fun and cute

The story was great, as was the character development. It's cute and exciting - adventurous.
The only reason for 3 stars was due to the editing. It kept holding me back from totally immersing into the story. It was a struggle to comprehend what was occurring in the story at times.
Grammatical editing is needed.

Ok

There is so much going on in this book, and so many extra characters I had trouble keeping them all straight. There is some editing errors but less than the first book. I found myself skimming to get to the end but I was invested enough to want to know what happened.

I just discovered this author, she is amazing. I love these books, so well written. The stories are detailed but not annoying (like I don't need 2 pages to describe a room 🙄) the characters are easy to like but not overly perfect. I can't wait for the next book.

I felt the story was rushed, and there was so much thrown at you to remember. There was also open plotlines but perhaps they will somehow be resolved in later books? This wasn't bad but it wasn't good. Overall I just felt meh. So I give it a meh rating.

Book 2 AWESOME!!!

Can’t wait for book 3. I read all night. I was a lil frustrated with Blayze for making Ryland wait so long, but the wait was worth it.
