The Rule Breaker by Cat Carmine is the story of Tyler Grant and Emma Holloway.
Emma is a blogger / advice columnist who has now written her own book called 'Miss Emma's Rules for Dating: A Guide to Modern Relationships'. While out promoting it she happens to meet a hot guy and has casual sex with him thinking a mistake...but one she won't see again. But who does he turn out to be none other than the publisher of her new book.
This book was just a joy to read and see how their love story would play out.

Emma Holloway is the quintessential good girl. She has rules that she lives by and any variation to those rules is virtually nonexistent. Emma has finally written her first book, Miss Emma’s Rules for Dating: A Guide to Modern Relationships. A book that has meaning and purpose for all of the single women in the world. While at Veneer, for her book’s launch party, she has a sexy run in with the hottest man she has ever met. One thing leads to another and they have a passionate moment in the bar’s bathroom. So much for following her own rules. After the deed is done, Emma finds out that the man in question is none other than Tyler Grant CEO of Good Grant Books, her publicist. Her night could not get any worse.

Tyler Grant is the new CEO of Good Grant Books. It is a job he didn’t want nor did he ask for. But, with his sister’s marriage, he finds himself taking over the reigns of his father’s company. Tyler decides to attend a book launch at Veneer where he meets the sexiest woman he has ever seen. The attraction is mutual and they wind up getting it on in the bathroom. Imagine Tyler’s surprise when he finds out the girl of his dreams is none other than Emma Holloway.

Tyler is now determined to bring out the bad girl in Emma. Emma on the other hand knows she should run, but breaking the rules is oh so much fun. Will Emma realize that being bad can land you the guy of your dreams?

I had so much fun reading The Rule Breaker. It has just the right mix of romance and comedy that kept me glued to the pages. I found myself staying up way into the night because I just could not put this book down. I absolutely loved Emma and Cat Carmine really brought her to life in such a genuine and realistic way that I actually wanted Tyler to ruffle her feathers and show Emma that she didn’t have to be the “good” girl and breaking the rules is not always a bad thing.

I really had to laugh though at some of the rules and I could see how much Emma tried so hard NOT to do the things she tells other women not to do, like never be the first one to call, never have sex before the sixth date and so on. I don’t even think Emma realizes she was breaking her own rules until Tyler teased her about it. My absolute favorite scene was when Emma shows up at Tyler’s apartment totally drunk. I really got to see the true Emma and she was not the stuffy prissy girl she made herself out to be.

If you love a romantic comedy that blends the serious and the funny with just the right touch, then you will love The Rule Breaker. It is a charming laugh out loud romance that will leave you rooting for Tyler and Emma’s happily ever after no matter how much Emma tries to resist it.

The Rule Breaker was my first book by Cat Carmine and boy am I so glad that I decided to give it a chance because I really liked it! The writing was amazing and the character development was on point! This story kept me engaged until the end and it was easily read in one sitting.

Emma Holloway is a blogger turned professional advice columnist and author. She's a perfectionist who has a certain way of doing things. She hasn't strayed from that until she meets bad boy Tyler Grant. He's a rule breaker and he's about to bring Emma over to the dark side! She's about to break a few of her own rules and she doesn't even care...

Cat Carmine delivers a hilarious, steamy and angsty filled story that will captivate any reader's heart for a few hours! I recommend picking up this story so that you can fall in love with Emma and Tyler like I did!

-Kacie, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Emma is a perfectionist. Her sister even calls her Emma The Perfect (she takes it as a compliment)! She is a blogger/advice columnist/author. She is single but she has written a book that is a guide to dating and relationships. She is at her first signing, when she meets Tyler. Tyler is actually Tyler Grant. He’s a former trust fund drifter/party guy that has been named the CEO of Good Grant Books, which is the publisher of Emma’s book. Emma and Tyler are very different from each other but they compliment each other perfectly. Their better qualities rub off on each other and they become better people because of it.

This was my first book by this author and I enjoyed it. I liked how it could be both hilarious and serious while still being a lighthearted read. It’s a good palate cleanser when you are stuck in a rut or when you need something light. Without a doubt, I’ll be reading more by this author.

Emma Holloway is a blogger turned advice columnist who’s having her first signing for the new book she authored, “Miss Emma's Rules for Dating: A Guide to Modern Relationships,” which is where she meets Tyler. He’s none other than Tyler Grant, the new CEO of Good Grant Books, her book's publisher, and their first meeting is well, let’s just go with explosive. In the following days, no matter how hard she tries, Emma just can’t seem to stay away from Tyler. Not only does Murphy's Law seem to govern their interactions, Emma finds herself throwing out all of her own rules for dating when it comes to Tyler.

This author is one I can count on for a fun, steamy read with a refreshing amount of heart and emotional depth, and the early copy I read of this book is no different. Emma's character immediately appealed to me with her perfectionist streak and carefully ordered life, down to the smallest detail. It was pretty clear early on that having Tyler in her life would shake the foundation of her core beliefs about herself. Tyler was a wonderful hero with a party boy past who is forced to quickly grow up when he’s thrust into the role of CEO with his family's company. He takes to it fairly well until Emma enters his life and he can’t keep his mind off her. But his laid back, lighthearted approach is just what Emma needs to realize she can relax a little and not insist on everything being perfect. She gets that lesson in spades because every outing with Tyler pushes her boundaries and generally results in some form of public humiliation, which makes for some delightfully humorous reading.

As much as I found myself laughing out loud, I also felt my heart being tugged by tender, poignant scenes because this romance has just as much of the “feel good" as it does feeling. Tyler and Emma connected on several levels and really were perfect for each other, regardless of their very different personalities. Emma made simple, almost off-hand comments that had a profound impact on Tyler's life, and Tyler somehow managed to see all of Emma. Not just the perfect, accomplished Emma, but the Emma who long ago used to have fun, as well as the Emma in the process of becoming. And he loved every on of those Emmas. *swoon* Their story is lighthearted and fun, steamy and explosive, heartfelt and deep, and immensely rewarding and satisfying to read.

Recieved the book on a weekend .Started reading and finished it within a day.

Anyone just can connect to the story. The story talks about sibling bonding, friendship which has been shown beautifully through letters.

Veda the main protagonist who is strong willed & determined yet timid & passive stands out very well throughout the book and the reader can relate to the character. It can be any individual in general who follows all the rules and struggles to stand up for themselves due to societal conditioning.

Her sudden unplanned marriage, initial marriage troubles, deteriorated performances in academics, the societal conditioning she was brought up with due to which she keeps mum when she is being humiliated in order to adhere to her rules. How she steps out of her comfort zone and breaks the rules & discovers herself is the crux of the story.

How she overcomes it in the end has been described beautifully.

Quotes like 'Carve Your Path' and many other thoughtful sentences are just very simple yet so deep.

The other part in the story is SANKALP an organisation which tries to do it's bit to help children from poor families which is the turning point in Veda's story which describes the struggles, challenges the school children from the poor families go through to educate themselves. Just moves you so much and sub consciously motivates to contribute for their well being.

The challenges, efforts the trio Kanika,Veda and Ron go through to stabilise and keep it going to ensure students benefit till the end to achieve their goal of 100% results of Class 10 is just terrific. Kanika's character as a no-nonsense,firm yet sensitive and a sympathetic is terrific.

Best Sequence in the story : The confrontation with the Inquiry Committee.

Best characters in the story : Veda, Vidya,Kanika,Bhuwwan

Funny characters in the story : Ron(his troubles to get used to Indian culture during his stay in Pune), Sanju.

Exceptional, thoughtful, realistic & terrific writing by Preeti Shenoy.

This is the follow up to The Deal Breaker and a solid, sexy read. Emma is introduced in the first book as Rori’s sister and “Emma the Perfect”. She has exacting standards and opinions on proper behavior and manners that has earned her a role as an advice columnist and now a new author. Her new book 'Miss Emma's Rules for Dating: A Guide to Modern Relationships' is about to be launched and she meets Tyler Grant, who just happens to be the CEO of her publishing company. Well, they hit it off right away to say the least. She has always had it together but being around Tyler pushes her outside of her comfort zone. Way outside.

This is a fun romance - Emma does things with Tyler that she would never normally do and essentially breaks all her rules, while she is trying to promote a book about them. Tyler in the meantime should not be messing around with one of his authors while he is trying to run his father’s company and impress his father who thinks Tyler is just a partier. When they are together they are both compelled to extreme lack of concern about their surroundings which leads to some pretty cringe-worthy and shocking scenes.

Super hot, funny, cute, fast read. I really enjoy Cat Carmine - she writes really fun, sexy, funny and did I say sexy romances. My favorite is still The Red Hot Rival, but this series is fabulous. Can’t wait for more!

So Omg!!! This book was equal parts funny and romantic and I absolutely fell in love with it!!! Like why haven’t I heard of Cat Carmine before??!! Because if this is what kind of books she’s putting out I need like every single one on my kindle ASAP so I can read them!! It was charming, lovable, hilarious and just so dang irresistible the entire book was like the only complaint was I didn’t want it to end!! I couldn’t put it down until I finished it. Emma was just so “perfect “ until she got around Tyler and then she lost all control and became a “bad”girl and was put in such awkward positions it was so funny!! Tyler is so dang love able and is known for a playboy but doesn’t really seem like it to me. He is really trying with Emma but it keeps blowing up in his face. Can he show her he’s really worth her breaking all her rules for? Find out when you read this book that I highly recommend!!! - By Tina

I truly enjoyed reading this book. Emma is a perfectionist and Tyler is a rule breaker but together they make it work. This book will make you laugh and make you swoon. I really enjoy this series and characters and hoping maybe Logan & Blake will get a story since Logan needs an assistant & Blake just moved too the city.

I wanted to give this book a better rating but it was so bleh for me. I really didn’t like this Emma character. I mean I didn’t like her in any of the other books either so I had to make myself read this book to complete the series.

Emma is picture perfect (yawn) and she ends up having a rendezvous with Tyler Grant in the women’s bathroom before her book signing. Although she didn’t know who he was. And she wrote a book about dating advice (double yawn) and then goes against every rule she has written when she is with Tyler. But her reason to not be with him is sooooo lame. I can’t. I understand being afraid. But this girl has no self-esteem. And she is whiny. And one thing I hate in characters is whining. She would be this sex kitten one moment but if one thing went wrong she runs. Eh, whatever.

Don’t expect much out of this book. The other books are better. I mean it’s chick lit so I don’t expect much.

Cat Carmichael is a new author for me and I immediately purchased The Rule Breaker after finishing book one, the Deal Breaker. I personally like stories where characters continue because as a reader you become invested in them and want to learn more. I also like that this book takes place after the first book and is not written in the same time period and I like to know what happens to next to Rori and Wes!

The Rule Breaker is aptly named as it is about a writer, Emma Holloway, who seems to be a perfectionist and is happiest when she is following the rules. That is until she meets the new CEO of her publishing company, Tyler Grant who turns her world upside down. Her book is entitled Miss Emma’s Rules for Dating: A Guide to Modern Relationships and she pretty much breaks all of her own rules in this really funny and heartfelt rom-com.

He first meets Emma at a bar/restaurant where she is preparing to promote her first published book. They are immediately drawn to one another and you can feel their chemistry and attraction on every page. These feelings are foreign to Emma and she pretty much can’t help herself whenever she is around Tyler. I happen to think I’d be the same way if I ever met him in real life because he has it all: handsome, wealthy, funny, kind, smart, thoughtful, and very attentive if you know what I mean!

I love Cat’s writing style and was immediately drawn into the characters and how they were feeling. I like this type of honesty in a book and that was was told in both points of view. Many of the details were included so the reader can feel right along with them.

Ivy-league educated Tyler is new to the position, his first real job since he spent time living off his trust fund, and it’s refreshing to read how he navigates through it all while dealing with family issues and wanting to be successful at his family business to make his father proud. He’s unsure of himself and his future career goals in the beginning, but has a plan at the end of the book after re-evaluating the way he had been spending his life. She too has to look deep within herself, and I admire how she also re-evaluates her life and has a change of heart regarding all that she previously believed to be true. Most of these changes take place because of their relationship with one another. I like how they are honest with their feelings and really learn and grow together as a couple, as well as support one another’s goals and ambitions. This is key to any successful relationship.

I don’t want to spoil the ending but it was great! She fights for her man, their relationships with their family and friends improve, and she discovers that she doesn’t need to be perfect and follow certain rules in order to be happy. I was really pleased with the ending and was routing for them the entire time!

BOOK REVIEW ~ The Rule Breaker by @Cat Carmine

Cat provides a solid read in the rule breaker. Tyler and Emma are the typical opposite attraction. Tyler the rich playboy and Emma a play by the rules good girl, self-help / advise blogger turned author.

Tyler pursues Emma and convinces her that they can have some fun and the life doesn't always have to be played by some predefined rules or expectations. During his pursuit of Emma, he is facing his own challenges in convincing his father that he is no longer the trust fund playboy of the past but can actually contribute to the family empire. They have some twists and turns to reach their happily ever after and an interesting encounter while on a blind food date and live television broadcast.

Dive in and see what you think yourself!

"I let my hand slide down, to the waist of his jeans, and then dipping lower, finding the bulge that's already growing to rather impressive proportions. Tyler growls, tugging my hair even harder, but I just grin. I stroke my hand over his cock a few times, exploring the length of them beneath the thick fabric of his jeans. Then I reach for his zipper."

The Rule Breaker is the 2nd book in the Breaking all the Rules series, this story will leave you laughing with tears in your eyes.

Emma has followed the rules all her life she was perfect, so she decided to write a book on the rules of dating, when she starts breaking all her own rules she can’t stop. Tyler has been pushed into a life that he never wanted, when he meets Emma he was determined to bring out the real rule breaking Emma. Will breaking all the dating rules end in love or disaster?

Tyler was the typical rich, attractive play boy who had an endless trust fund and a life that any bachelor would be envy of. He is determined to prove that he is good enough for not only his father but for Emma. Emma is perfect, she does everything by the book she has her own opinions and believe wholeheartedly that following the rules she will succeed in not only her life but love life too.

Emma and Tyler have an instant attraction that sizzles from the moment they are together, their scenes together left me hanging on every word. Their easy connection opened them both up to some hilarious moments leaving me wanting more from them.

Cat did an amazing job of writing this book, I felt connected to both the characters instantly and was also invested in the minor characters by the end of the story setting them up for future books in the series.

I personally loved this book and I couldn’t put it down, I highly recommend that if you looking at reading a rom-com style book this is it. I am looking forward to see if my prediction for the next story is correct, don’t leave me hanging for too long.

When the perfect good girl Emma meets bad boy Tyler, and he convinces her to break some of her steadfast rules, who knew it would change her life? Certainly not Emma. She's a sweet, but staid advice columnist turned first time novelist who's at her book's launch party at a bar when an absolutely divine man sits next to her at the bar and flirts with her. When her wine somehow ends up on her shirt instead of in her mouth where it belongs, that divine man follows her to the bathroom to offer her his shirt. What actually happens is something so far outside Emma's normal box that it blows her mind and she can't even figure out that her world has just been knocked off its axis.

But when it turns out Emma's delicious bathroom hookup is the CEO of the company that published her book, will Tyler be able to convince Emma to keep breaking her boring rules and be with him? Or is the perfect girl too staid and rigid to let herself loosen up and reach for some happiness?

The Rule Breaker is the kind of romance that I love - sexy, sweet, laugh out loud moments but with depth and layers and an amazing cast of characters. I think my favorite part of The Rule Breaker is Tyler, though. He surprised me with just how sweet and big-hearted he turned out to be. I figured after the first chapter that he'd remain the good-natured but shallow playboy he seemed at first, but no, he was so much more. And he was perfect for prim and proper Emma, who wasn't so prim and proper deep down inside. I'm looking forward to more from this world of of Good Grant Media. Perhaps Emma's sister Blake and Logan Cartwright?

I received an ARC for an honest review.

This is the first book I have read by Cat Carmine but it won’t be the last because I loved this sweet, funny, romantic love story and if you are looking for a book that will leave you smiling like a Cheshire Cat this could be the read for you.
Emma is the girl that follows the rules, she is a perfectionist she goes to the gym gets her hair done and always looks the part but a chance meeting in a bar with bad boy Tyler has her breaking her own rules namely “Do not ever have a one night stand” the first rule in her newly published book called Miss Emma’s Rules for Dating.....
Tyler may be a bad boy on the face of it but he also has a heart of gold and the last thing he expected was to have a one night stand with the author his company is publishing he may be the new CEO and he may be a playboy but this is bad even for his standards......
A chance meeting for two people in a bar has Emma breaking rules, her instincts are telling her to run but she has had a taste of Tyler and now she is hooked to the point of showing up at his house drunk begging for sex and tacos. Tyler and Emma have a sizzling chemistry and the banter they share will have you giggling and laughing out loud and if you love the perfect mix of passion and humour this is a must read . I hope the secondary characters get their own books because I fell in love with every character in this book. Great job Cat Carmine

I Loved this RomCom. It’s very well written and the characters felt like your old friends in no time. The author has written a hilarious storyline that had me laughing to the point of tears on many occasions. It is a lighthearted romance that will warm your heart and tickle your funny bone.

Emma is a self-help columnist who has written her first book: a guide to dating and modern relationships. A book she proud of and believes in. You see Emma lives and believes in living a safe lifestyle. She doesn’t take chances and she sure doesn’t do wild and spontaneous. Well that is up until she meets the sexy, larger than life, Tyler Grant. He seems to bring out the crazy in her and it always seems to backfire and leave her beat red and wondering what just happened?

Tyler has been living “the high life”. Traveling the world, doing whatever he wants on his trust fund. At least he was right up until his dad forces him to grow up and take charge of one of the family businesses. Tyler is determined to succeed and prove to his father he’s not a failure. But when he meets the publishing companies latest self-help author, Emma, he inadvertently sets off a whirlwind of events. Events that may cost him a whole lot more that proving his worth to his father; events just may cost Emma her sanity.

I can’t recommend this book enough. It’s fast paced, funny and romantic all rolled up in one great storyline. Grab it up and enjoy, you won’t be sorry you did

Just Say No!

Oh boy, Ms Carmine with this superb read made me LOL so many times, this amazing book is the perfect comedy romance and I highly recommend this magnificent read! My first read of a Cat Carmine book and for sure I will be reading many more. Emma Holloway is at her first book launch at Veneer a bar in Manhattan, she is so nervous as she has to do a reading from her book called “New Dating Advice”. All about the rules of dating which she manages to break most of the rules throughout! She has the perfect job for the perfect woman that she is, she sticks to all the rules in life! Tyler Grant has had to step up to the plate as CEO of his fathers Multi billion dollar media business Good Grant Books Publishing which he has no experience of! Emma has no idea who he is on meeting him at Veneer whereby all the rules start to get broken between them. Can Tyler be her Mister Right or is he just going to be Mister Right Now only? Can Tyler save the publishing side of Good Grants Media and at last attain his fathers approval? Will the playboy Tyler, the trust fund kid bring out the fun in Emma? The Dark experience in the Darkly restaurant blew my mind as it was so erotic! Tyler certainly knows how to tease Emma. He wants the wild, bad girl in Emma to emerge! Is Tyler her drug of choice? Can Emma be spicy and sweet, and Miss perfect all the time? You will find all the answers in this magnificent read.
I am volunteering to leave an honest review for an ARC of this book.

Oh my stars, this book was so much fun! Emma is Miss Perfect - proudly so - and she's just launching her first book, a set of rules for dating that are perfectly suited to her perfectly ordered life.

But then Tyler walks in, and all her perfect composure takes a hike.

Not five minutes after Tyler makes her forget all about her rules and her book, she's up on stage, hilariously reading from the one chapter that reminds her of just how far she's fallen! This is just the start to a hilarious string of scenes that showcase Emma's emotional undoing as she learns to let go and live, just a little. OK, maybe more than just a little.

Tyler is on his own journey from rudderless trust fund playboy to responsible leader, and he certainly wasn't expecting his heart to tangle him up with a woman like Emma. Watching him come into his own, making his own mark in his father's conglomerate, was almost as much fun as watching him fall for Emma.

Together, these two are the perfect yin to each other's yang. It was also nice to see Rori and Wes again (from Deal Breaker, which also introduced Tyler), and the other secondary characters bring additional layers of sass and substance to the story. I couldn't love this book more, and I'm looking forward to reading Blake's story next. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

What a fun way to break the rules!! Great story between Emma Holloway, the "perfect" sister and Tyler Grant wanderlust playboy. Advice columnist Emma learns breaking all her rules about dating with the CEO of her publishing house can be fun but embarrassing afterwards!!!

I was skeptical first, how likable Emma would be, perfect sister to her siblings, writes kind of a stuffy advice column which she's turned into a book. Through an accidental meeting at the bar where her book reading is going to take place, these two come together like oil and water.yet somehow Emma let's loose enough to have some fun in the moment. This whole was a fun collection of fun moments that let's Emma unwind and try to find herself while also giving Tyler a home-person as a reason to stick around New York for more than a passing minute. Tyler also makes for a great character, generally happy guy with an billionaire lifestyle, not the best home life with his parent being absent and his sister fled to California, but he grows as well through his interactions with Emma, as she listens to him and wants to know his ideas too.

Loved how Emma learns to go with the flow, and how every bad decision with Tyler leads her down the paths of carbs, carbs & more carbs!!! LOL, would love to have a living in baking blogger at my disposal.

I received an ARC for an voluntary and honest review.

This review is for an ARC and is my unbiased, honest opinion.

This book was adorable!!! It had romance, love, ups and downs, steamy moments, moments of finding yourself, etc. It was just everything tied up into a cute, little story!! I loved these characters so much. I wish they were real so we could all be besties!! I won’t even try and steal Tyler away from Emma, although let’s be honest….he’s quite the catch!!

Emma thinks she has life all figured out. She thinks she has the guide to living life and getting everything you need out of it. Little does Emma know, Tyler Grant is about to rock her world. Tyler just so happens to be the new CEO for the publishing company that Emma wrote a book for. Emma’s book is all about being this nice, polite girl and setting up your future with 3 easy steps so to speak. She’s used to doing everything properly and being a perfectionist. Tyler is quite the opposite when it comes to personalities. He’s this laid back, easy going carefree spirit who believes in taking life as it comes. As I said previously, I loved both of these characters and their outlooks on life. I love how Tyler brought some things to Emma and she did the same in return.

This book has this great romance that has some scenes that will have you needing a tall glass of ice water and a fan pointed directly at you. I love how Tyler brought out the spicier side of Emma but things always seemed to take an unexpected turn whenever she let her guards down. Those cringe worthy moments made this book so fun for me. You just never knew what type of trouble those two would get into haha.

Do yourself a favor and pick up this book!! I had such a blast reading it and I want more from this world/characters/etc. Please tell me we get more books!! Emma’s sisters need books too!!!

I really enjoyed this easy going, sweet, romantic and addictive story. Along with a really interesting story which was laced with humour, along with the romance, I caught myself smiling so many times whilst reading this book.

What we have here is a bad boy who is a bit of a player with a good heart. He is smart, rich and happens to meet a really good conservative girl who just happens to be an author at his publishing company, What they discover about each other along the way is at times hilarious, sometimes fraught with tension but always interesting.

I loved both lead characters whom I connected to really well. Tyler was that typical jock but smart with a sassy clever mouth and Emma was this cocksure lady who thought she knew her own mind until Tyler invaded her life, making her doubt everything that came out of her mouth. The secondary characters were extremely well written and added immensely to my enjoyment of this story.

I really cannot fault this book at all. The writing, the story, the characters all melded together to make this a superb read that I couldn't put down. A MUST read !!!

Emma is a perfectionist, always has the perfect outfit, works out, gets her hair done, is always completely put together in every aspect of her life and always follows the rules.  She has her own advice column and has just completed her first book Miss Emma's Rules for Dating: A Guide to Modern Relationships.  On the evening of her book launch, just before she's due to present and read from her new book, Emma breaks one of her own rules about casual sex and has a quickie with a man she met from the bar in the bathroom.  Turns out, he's the new CEO of the company that has just published her.  Tyler loves getting Emma to come out of her shell and she can't help but break all of her rules when she's with him.  This was a funny story and hilarious sexcapades ensue.  At first I didn't really like Emma's character because she seemed too perfect with everything she did, but throughout you can see her become more down to earth and more able to brace life and the unexpected.

I enjoyed reading Tyler and Emma’s story. Breaking the rules is always fun and it seemed like these two were definitely enjoying themselves while doing it. This story can be read as a complete stand alone.

Tyler is a little bit of a playboy, he is not one to take life all that seriously. That was until he is given something he truly didn’t see himself wanting at first. But sometimes things we think are not for us actually grow on us.
Emma is ‘perfect’. Well she likes to think she is perfect. Everything about her is planned down to the T. She can come across as a little icy.. but maybe Tyler is the right kind of guy to help her bend those rules!

I really loved Tyler, I thought he was just great. He was a charming and caring man in this story. The book was funny in parts and had me laughing out loud. I quite enjoyed reading it. I am really intrigued about Logan. I really hope I get to meet him next! I look forward to it.

Emma is know as being the perfect one. She takes pride in her image and her reputation. So it's unlike her to sleep with a stranger in the bathroom of a bar minutes before going on stage for the launch of her new book. What a surprise it is when she realizes the stranger is none other than Tyler Grant, CEO of her publishing company and her sister's boyfriend's best friend. She's another person completely when she's with him, but is that who she really is or is it just the man's fault?

This was my favorite book of the trilogy. I had a bit of trouble connecting with Emma at first, but understood her better through her struggles to open up and live honestly. Tyler was adorable and swoon worthy. I loved the storyline with Tyler's sister Lacy, the Good Grant company and Tyler's parents. I felt like there were more dimensions to the story than just the romance. Emma's character evolution and Tyler's sweetness and boldness made this book an instant favorite.

4.4/5

I liked the sex scenes (or the fact that there were enough of them and equality in foreplay) in this one over the other two of the series. Aside from sex, this one definitely had scenes that shocked and surprised me, but not in a bad way. Unfortunately these two really had some bad luck, but I really liked the dialogue between the two characters even though some of those bad luck scenes really made me cringe. I would definitely recommend this book as the 2nd best in the series. 7.6/10 on sex o meter for I thought the right amount of intimacy without going into anything particularly interesting or kinky, though did have equality in oral, which I appreciate (I don't like it when these authors have only the girl receiving but never giving). I really appreciate when authors incorporate use of protection into the scenes because two characters cannot actually be smart without its use.

This feel good rom-com is about Emma, a prim & proper advice columnist that learns that the right bad boy can bring you around to the wild side with four little words "do you trust me?". This romance starts out hot & heavy when Emma meets Tyler (thou she does not know it yet) the new CEO of her publishing house at her first book signing. Within minutes she has broken several rules in her book by letting Tyler seduce her in the bathroom. Once the of the wild side of Emma is released the good times roll with one funny, embarrassing sex filled adventure after another. The book had great supporting characters that help create a well rounded enjoyable reading experience.

Cat Carmine books always leave me with a smile on my face looking forward to her next release.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy gifted to me by the author.
