Book 1
Another great series by Leslie and Elle. I love these Badass series!
The chemistry sucks you in. The suspense and humor keeps you going. The writing is fantastic. I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to see where the story takes us. Cliffhanger alert.

Wow...mind blown!! Absolutely loved the conclusion to this series. The suspense kept me on ths edge of my seat until the end. Once it starts, hang on. You're in for an awesome ride. I love the Badass boys and hope for more.
The writing is fantastic and the story flowed seamlessly. It's told in both Jax and Mia's POV. Not a standalone and no cliffhangers.

Just amazing!
I really love all the Badass Books. Although this is a standalone book it perfectly embraces the previous books and its characters.
Jax and Mia's story is epic. After losing his wife to cancer Jax totally engulfed himself in work. He meets Mia on a new assignment and finds himself not only drawn to her but also wanting a future. They both have to overcome various obstacles and dangerous situations before they finally find a happy ending.
This book has it all. Crime, love, conspiracy and hope. It is a wonderful read with no cliffhanger in the end. There is a continuance of their story but this can easily be read as a standalone.

Love and adventure
I enjoyed this story. It was hard to put down. Every time I came to what I thought would be a good stopping point something would draw me back.
Mia and Jax met by accident when both were sent to retrieve a security box from the bank. The same box that another person wanted. Their adventure starts there and doesn’t stop until the end of the book. As they move together to try to stay alive while trying to solve a mystery of something they would destroy the world as we know it, the find love, something for which neither of them was looking.
If you like adventure, mystery and love stories, this book will give you all of them.

Mom tells her to follow some instructions before a murderer arrives. Daughter is well hidden, leaves after discovery of the body and tries to follow moms instructions. She runs into a federal agent at her first stop, and he is after what her mom sent her to deal with. Further trouble ensues, including falling for the very good looking agent. This story has a "saved the world" happy ending.

Intensely soulful
Jax and Mia's story had me choking back a cry of frustration and need. I felt for Mia as much as I did for Jax. A soulful story highlighted with the intense drama surrounding their coming together. I'd like to say that a higher being had control over their meeting. It was destiny, fated work of an angel to another earth angel. Feel the pain of a love on the verge of dying...literally. intense, suspenseful and dramatically fulfilling for me, as well as sexy, loving and passionate. Yeah great read.

Action packed with budding love
Leslie and Elle are on to something! This is an amazing story of an average woman’s average day that suddenly takes a sharp left turn. Suddenly running for her life with a man she doesn’t know. I love how they both stretch and grow. Sometimes you just need to take a chance.

Amazing
I had to force my self to stop reading this book. The chemistry between Jax and Mia was intense. Add to that the drama and, murder and terrorist plot and the story couldn't have been better.

This one started out great. Lots going on, loved the characters. Then they kind of took a stupid turn and never got back to where they needed to go. Good idea and effort, but not the best executed book I've read.

Badass!!??
Ex army ranger turned CIA agent Jaxson Hathaway isn't really such a badass but a big softy who's still in love with his late wife of 2yrs. But when he's ordered to deliver a warrant to the bank, confiscate the contents of a safe deposit box and get to the DC office pronto, things look up into answering her last wishes of finding love again.
Mia Hewitt is an ordinary, boring office clerk who's mother drags her reluctantly into a dangerous world of death, murder, kidnap and so much more.
There's instant attraction when they first meet which escalates to some steamy sex scenes. It's written in a dual pov, all but the first chapter, where we meet Tatiana, Mia's mum.
It's split into two parts where part one kinda ends on a cliffhanger but instantly continues where they left off in part two. Basically two shortish books in one.
An ok easy read. Had the potential to be better but I felt the author focused more on the insta-lust/love between the leads instead of delving deeper into the harder storyline of terrorism, espionage, murder and the likes.

Perfect
My mom recently passed away, so there were times that I was crying because the emotions were too close to home. This story was amazing! High intensity. I was literally sitting on the edge of my seat. It made me cry and two seconds later I was laughing. I've bought books and regretted the waste of money. I've gotten free books that I was glad I hadn't paid for. I've spent a couple of dollars on books and felt bad I hadn't paid more because they were so good. I got this book for free and I feel really guilty for not having paid for the pleasure. Thank you so much Leslie and Elle for one of the best books I've read this year. I've read 26 books this year and this one is in the top five. I will certainly be reading more of your books.

This is about Mia and Jax and their story. Mia receives a call from her mother while at work and it sounds like she is saying goodbye. Concerned Mia leaves work to check on her mother and is in her house hiding when her mother is killed by a Man in a Black Suit. Unknowingly by Mia her mother is a Russian spy and now has involved Mia and put her life in danger. Mia goes to the bank to get the security box contents as her mothers last wish when she meets Jax a CIA operative that is there to secure the same security box as Mia.

I can't believe I almost didn't get this book, because of the name of it. But something made me click. I loved the characters of Jax and Mia. I loved how the authors handled Jax's grief, it brought tears to my eyes. This story is fast paced and full of action and humor. When Mia tells Jax she has "baby love for him" I literally had to lay down my kindle and smile. So Jax is a CIA agent, Mia a run of the mill woman or is she? Maybe she is a spy? Even Jax isn't sure. Oh and did I mention there is an adorable Kitty named Libby? This book has everything I love about books!

I never leave spoilers or regurgitate story lines (what's the point) but I gotta tell you, this book was a delight.
I started to read early last evening, and
was still hooked at one a m., when that pesky concept of WORK reared its head.
But guess what, got finished with work then ran home finish the book:-)
It was funny to the point of waking up my four little dogs who think any word spoken means time for a cookie. (Remmie, this was 1 a.m.)
Witty writing, excellent story, great characters, I'm going to check out more of this series.

This is a great addition to the Badass series. I have read the entire series starting with the original Badass. It's not required but I do recccomend reading the series from the start to get the background info on secondary characters.

Omg! Absolutely freaking amazing!!! Leslie Johnson and Elle Dawson wrote a totally kickass book. This series has you on the edge of your seat on what is going to happen next. It is full twists and turns and is action packed. I highly recommend reading this series.
