I am a huge fan of the Coco Pinchard series and even though I have all the paper back editions, I couldn't resist purchasing this box set for my kindle so that I can reread the series whilst on my summer holiday.
Coco is a brilliant character who makes any readers life feel normal. As much as I love Coco though, the star throughout the series is Ethel, Coco's mother in law. She is hilarious and will have you laughing out loud within no time with her antics.
This box set is the perfect summer holiday read. It is full of fun and laughter whilst leaving you with a warm glow. Cannot recommend highly enough.
I’ve read Coco Pinchard’s Big Tipsy Wedding from the box set - never one to make my life easy reading series in order! Coco tells us the story by sending emails to her nearest and dearest. It’s a bit of a twist on the diary form that has been successful for characters like Adrian Mole and Bridget Jones. I liked the email form – Coco wasn’t just talking to herself as with a diary, she was retelling events to her friends.
I love Coco as a character. She cares deeply about those around her and everyone loves her. She’s someone I’d love to have in my life. She’s definitely a memorable character! As I read, I was desperate to know whether Coco get a happy ending? Being dumped out of the blue is heartbreaking especially when Coco thought everything was looking rosy in love and life.
The people Coco has in her life are brilliant. Rosencrantz is devoted to his mum and his new house mates quickly follow suit. Despite them being divorced, Coco and Daniel are still on amicable speaking terms so I got a proper insight into what the ex-in laws are like. Daniel’s family are nuts, totally crackers! Meryl with her royal obsession, Ethel, well just Ethel!
It’s a fabulous read, it kept me company when I was not feeling well. Just the tonic the book doctor would have ordered! It’s just as addictive as Mr Bryndza’s crime fiction, just not as dark and twisted. I’ll be catching up with the rest of Coco’s adventures soon.
Robert Bryndza is such an excellent writer! I started reading his books with the Erika Foster murder mystery series. I've never been a fan of romance novels (I would say the Coco novels are more comedy-romance) but since i love this author so much, I gave the Coco series a try....and I was not disappointed!! Just the way he writes, you get immersed in the story from the start! I have to say....Ethel was my favorite character! Such a funny, well-written series!! I am eagerly awaiting more novels from Robert Bryndza!
I've read every one of these fantastic books-and LOVED every one!
I found out about the author just by chance as the first in this series was in the kindle top 100 free bestsellers a few years ago and it was one of the first ebooks I downloaded. I went on to buy all of the Coco Pinchard books and found it a fabulous and fun series. What a great way to buy them all at once, without having to wait for each next book to come out. Highly recommended and lots of laughs.
I randomly picked up Girl in the Ice a few weeks ago and fell in love with Robert Bryndza's writing style. I was shocked to see that he actually started as a rom-com writer so I had to give the Coco Pinchard books a try. I am sooooo glad I did! It's been a long time since I have laughed out loud while reading a book, but Ethel slayed me! The whole box set was a treasure and highly recommend reading all the way through!
After I read "The Not So secret E-mails of Coco Pinchard" I was hooked.
After I read "The Not So secret E-mails of Coco Pinchard" I was hooked. Just had to get the set. Not sorry I did.. They are so comical because they resemble life so closely I think anyone could relate to them. Can't wait for more.
Loves this box set. It was impossible to stop. Coco is English and Prime to disaster but she's a great friend and never stops trying to win. This reads backwards from today to her earliest adulthood. I love all the wacky characters. Settle in for just plain fun.
To anyone who’s feeling low, this is your medicine. I don’t know who’s funnier, Coco or her mother-in-law Ethel; both had me laughing out loud in many parts in this five-book series.
This has been in my kindle for quite some time and I am wondering why I didn’t read it sooner! Another great discovery of an author who has the talent to give comic relief through words!
Who knew Robert Bryndza wrote romantic comedies too!
The Coco Pinchard books are great fun. Though Coco’s life is in nearly constant turmoil, she and her quirky friends and family members manage to survive through all of it with plenty of hilarious twists and turns. The characters come to life brilliantly.
I really didn’t expect to enjoy these books as they are not my usual chosen genre. However I loved them. The have a fabulous range of flawed yet relatable characters who take you on a journey through their often funny and sometimes poignant lives. All in all a great read.
It was like life! Things just kept happening. I laughed. I cried. I felt warm and fuzzy. You could insert yourself right in the story and feel at home.
You must read these books! If you want full on laughter, pick up this set of Coco Pinchard books. Excellent writing and an engaging character. Love it!
