The chemistry between Noah and Tinsley is electric. Torrid is a mini soap opera waiting to emerge in prime time. Scandalous meets tempting with a to be continued twist. There is never a dull moment.

Possible spoilers...

This book was a jumbled mess of confusion and misdirection. I'm pretty sure that the author has an idea where she is headed with this story but there was so much going on, it almost became impossible to keep it straight. So many characters vying for attention. So many secrets. It might have been better to attack one main thought with some minor deviations than to have multiple storylines that take years to play out only to have the reader greeted with a cliffhanger. Ugh!

I liked some of it. I was confused by most of it. All through the book, the main theme is everyone wants Tinsley to marry one man when her heart is with another, except for the man she loves. But at the end, everyone's just okay with what happens? Really? With a simple explanation that the reader struggles to understand given the ruthlessness that pretty much bled through the entire book?

Sure there's a book 2. Will I be reading it? I'm not sure. After a while I just stopped caring about Tinsley's happiness. I'd like to know what the he** Elizabeth has been up to for 20+ years, so maybe. Olivia is just plain crazy. Noah...blah. I really don't care about him. Terrible parent all around. Terrible partner too. Ava... poor child, who I know nothing about, has the worst parents ever. She's the only one I truly cared about and she was barely mentioned. Maybe when I find out more about her, I'll think differently. Ha ha.

Did the author spark my interest to read the next book? Sigh. Probably. But when you've spent hours reading something that seems to be going nowhere then left hanging, I'm not sure I want to invest any more of my time in it.

I loved the plot of the storyline. I wanted to rate this book higher. Here are the reasons why I didn't. There is so much going on that it gets confusing and hard to read. The storyline flowed smoothly in some parts and choppy in other parts. I got tired quickly of the "I want her but I can't have her" back and forth that took place majority of the book. Tinsley needed to grow up considerably. When you act like a child, you'll be treated like a child. Stop listening to everyone and go to the source before making immature decisions! Noah, you're old enough to know better and let people treat you the way they do. Don't get me started on the cliffhanger - that was a HUGE surprise that I wasn't expecting. I am currently reading book 2 which is really about Ava and Corban.

I received an ARC of this story through Hidden Gems and this is my honest and voluntary review.
I'm very torn about this book and I almost didn't finish reading it, but I pushed through. Just rating on story line and premise, I really liked this book. I could see what the author was trying to do with Tinsley and Noah. I appreciated the fact that their relationship was extremely rocky and not just a straightforward path to a HEA. On the other hand, I had a very hard time convincing myself to try to look past the extremely formal and stilted dialogue, the overabundance of unnecessary punctuation, and multiple grammatical errors. I found myself wondering if English wasn't the author's first language. Overall, I'd definitely give the sequel a chance. I would love to know what happens for Tinsley and Noah!

First of all this book leaves on a cliffhanger which I hate to not be warned about. I want it to be my choice of I read or not. Other than that it was a nice read. Tinsley and Noah experienced serious ups and downs that you found yourself very captivated and intrigued. Noah is a billionaire friend advisor to Tinsley's father till scandal from Noah's marriage caused him so dislike. Tinsley grew up crushing on Noah and he just felt like a mentor fatherly type towards her, till she comes back from being abroad just before her 19th birthday, grown up filled out and stirring feelings he has never felt with anyone. Their chemistry is off the charts and created some sizzling scenes. However, they both have family issues of their own that need to be worked out and resolved including Tinsley being pressured into an arranged marriage to save her family. In addition Noah wants to make sure Tinsley has more time to grow and experience while he clears the scandal around him. So you are taken thru a few years of their problem resolutions while on several occasions they are drawn back together like magnets numerous times in hopes of a hea.

A well written story about a young girl who has fallen in love with an older man she's known a number of years as he is a business associate of her parents. The story takes place over several years and features a number of different characters and is told from the point of view of both Tinsley and Noah as they struggle through their love affair keeping secrets from her parents, his family (son, ex-girlfriend and ex-wife) and her friends.. Included are some sub plots involving Noah trying to locate his daughter from his ex-girlfriend and a sham engagement of Tinsley and Connor that was arranged by her parents in order to facilitate a merger of their parents companies. Despite the number of characters and different sub plots the story is an easy read that flows well and keeps you reading to find out how Tinsley and Noah are going to resolve their differences. I am eagerly anticipating reading the follow on novels in this series.

The book starts in 2009, but Tinsley and Noah have been friends for years. Noah, a billionaire financial wizard, is much older than Tinsley and until 2009 has thought of her as the younger daughter of a business associate. But no longer. Tinsley, just 18, has been in love with Noah for quite a while; but she knows he doesn’t think of her that way. But in 2009, things change and they become connected in such a way someone might call them soulmates. But the world is not ready for them to be together so their relationship limps along behind closed doors.

The book continues to present day with lots of villains in the form of fathers and ex-wives. The couple separates, come back together, separates and all along the story is full of hot intense romance. This is a long story but I did enjoy all of the characters, twists and turns and the love. I received an ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review.

Brent was surprised to find that his daughter Cara was having difficulties at school and needed more help than he could give her. That was why he had hired Jessica to be her nanny and friend, a female figure she could relate to in her life. She was so good with Cara and she added to his life in ways he could not have imagined as well. After his wife's death he had cut himself off from relationships but with Jessica it was like he was a young man again. He knew he was too old for her but when she told him she was attracted to him as well, he could not help himself. This was a well written story with good characterisation, sexy love scenes and emotional drama!

Tinsley has been crushing on her much older friend, Noah, for years. Now that she's 18, will their friendship change?

I wanted to love Torrid; unfortunately, though, I just could not get into it. It jumps around, a lot, and the drama is so over the top and back and forth that I had whiplash and was rolling my eyes by the time it was over. And then there's the fact that this story ends on a cliffhanger, which I hate, and it just made me dislike the whole thing even more. Honestly, I'm not sure this deserves even 2 stars, but I'll give it that because I don't like to give out only 1 stars unless I hate something badly.

Excellent contemporary billionaire older man/younger woman romance. Noah is a wealthy man who has slowly fallen for a young woman, Tinsley. Noah tries to put his life in order to become the man he wants for Tinsley. So this book covers about 6-7 years. Tinsley is being forced to marry a competitors son so they can merge family but more importantly finances. Noah has many issues going on in his life. In some ways there are different stories going on behind the main story. The author has developed characters with many facets. Normally, I don't read a book until all the books are available because this book does have a cliff hanger. I received a complementary copy of this book via Hidden Gems and chose to write a review.

This book was very hot from the beginning. Initially, I thought it would be your typical older man chasing a young girl kind of story, but the story line expanded to so much more. Very interesting book with complex characters. Keeps you guessing what the characters are going to do next.

Great chemistry and hot romance between Tinsley and Noah! The crazy family drama they had to deal with kept me reading until the end. I like Tinsley and Noah but both allowed themselves to be manipulated by others over and over again.

I am looking forward to reading book 2 in the Stone Billionaire Series. The cliffhanger at the end was unexpected.

This is one brilliant story I was absolutely so hooked I was so amazed and excited while reading. Tensely is eighteen and Noah is her fathers best friend. They have had a thing for each other for a while and things have happened in between. He has 2 ex wife’s and he is also been searching for his daughter. It sells dad has forced her into an engagement and wedding planning to a man she is not in love with. There are some serious ups and downs with these two and you will find yourself so intrigued and captivated. You won’t be disappointed while reading this book.

In the genre of Billionaire Romance there are very few offerings which do as well as Kaya Woodward's Torrid at communicating the feelings of expectation and desire. The building level of longing portrayed becomes intense and I recall the stages of the dance with a silly smile on my face.
A good story well presented is greatly appreciated by this reviewer.
Hopefully the next installment of the Stone series will continue in the same vein.

*Spoiler* I really am awaiting a resolution for and the comeuppance of a certain madam.

The twists and turns in this first book in the Stone Billionaire Series kept me glued and I could not put the book down staying up late to finish it then rushing to get the second book to read on. Can't wait to read the next installment.
I loved the chemistry between Tinsley and Noah. It was hot, steamy, and these two could not get enough of this forbidden love.
I don't understand how the friendship of a young girl with her father's business partner started in the first place. Despite this and despite the fact that the virgin-old man romance isn't quite my trope, this was an enjoyable and captivating read.

This is the first book in The Stone Billionaire Series and definitely starts the series off on a high note. Well written with great characters and a page turning story. The story of Noah and Tinsley will keep you captivated. It has it all , billionaires, arranged marriage, New York Society, love struck lovers, family dynamics and more chemistry than you can imagine. A great read that is hard to put down. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review. Intense, fast paced and a real page turner.

This is a tough one to review. Tinsley is very young (almost 19) when the book starts and Noah is at least twice as old. The story is told by date and is very indepth. Tinsley's father is pressuring her to marry Connor for a business deal. She doesn't want to, but they have a pretend relationship and then engagement for years. Noah's got his own problems and they break up and make up too many times to count. At the end of the book, it's confusing if they are together or not. I got this book from Hidden Gems for an honest review.

Noah is an alpha billionaire who is called the scourge of Wall Street and about to be captivated by Tinsley and go all out to claim what is his even stopping an arranged marriage for Tinsley by her parents. Tinsley has some jacked up parents who want to consolidate their wealth by sacrificing her happines to a marriage of convenience. She would have went along except she wanted Noah the scourge of Wall Street. This is one hot well written love story. Get your copy and enjoy the ride, I did!

Disappointed read..

Enjoyed the chapters prelude to the mc getting together. After that the whole young female to older guy romance got old. The guy became weak and pathetic. He was bullied by his previous wife and ex. I mean one minute he tells the h that he never love his other ex whom he had two kids with then another he says he loved his ex at part two of the series. I ended up not liking the h. Nothing worst than a pathetic and weak male mc. I think the storyline became more about the h trying to find his daughter. Disappointed..

After an unconventional start, I completely fell for Tinsley and Noah. An age difference definitely slowed them up, but the chemistry is amazing. The relationship has some definite bumps, but there is a great amount of love and connection at the heart of it all. The writing is solid, and Noah is a total gem. It's wonderful to see how they grow together. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.

This book certainly lives up to its title. Tinsley is besotted with Noah who is a business friend of her father. who is in love with her. This is one messy mixed up romance with a topping of drama from ex's and betrayal from everyone else. Tinsley needs to grow a backbone and Noah will be the grow food she needs. I was mesmerized with it.

I have to say, I LOVE the cover for this book and since this is a new to me author, it was the first thing that drew me in. I also enjoyed the premise of the storyline, but I have to say it was hard to get through the book in some spots. It was a little disjointed and definitely in need of some major editing.

I don’t like to write negative reviews. I usually just don’t review the book or I try to find some type of positive to write about, so while this is a negative review I will say that the premise of this book is appealing and the story had potential to be great. Unfortunately the writing is subpar and reads as if it is a new young writer that has yet to find their voice. In the first few pages alone there were multiple sentence structure issues and I frequently found myself trying to figure out if Tinsel or Noah had actually said it. The balance was off and it made reading the story extremely difficult for me. I would love for this author to get a good editor or at least a smart honest friend, to edit this story and help fix the issues with it. I really think it could be a great one given some “fixing”.
