Մտածում էի` չի ստացվի կարդալ արևմտահայերեն, բայց բավականին հեշտ էր։ Հետաքրքիր վեպ էր, արժեր կարդալ։

Միայն լեզվի համար արժեր ընթերցել այս վեպը, սակայն անկեղծ լինելու համար ասեմ, որ դա գրքի միակ արժանիքը չէր: Թեման և դրա իրագործումը, ճիշտ է հայ իրականության մեջ և մասմբ նաև մասին չէր, սակայն գիրքը հենց մեզ համար է և գովելի է դրա գոյությունը: Իսկ ընդհանրապես՝ շատ էլ լավ վեպ է:

Չեմ հիշում, որ հայ գրականության մեջ դեպրեսիայի թեման երբևէ շոշափվի, իսկ էստեղ նաև շատ հրաշալի լեզվով ա դա արված։ Կերպարները շատ ճանաչելի ու կենդանի են։ Հատկապես առաջին կեսում բարձր ծիծաղելու կտորներ կան, բայց դե հետո գնալով ամեն ինչ լրջանում ա։ Մանկության մասին կտորները հիշեցնում են Սուփըր Հերոսների հերոսներին՝ լավ իմաստով, իհարկե։
Շատ կուզեմ, որ Բատիկեանի մյուս գրքի սեթինգը վերջապես Երևանը/Հայաստանը դառնա. իրա թույն արևմտահայերենով ու իրա թույն հերոսներով Երևանի գրական կերպարը կհարստանար։ Բայց դե դա ուղղակի կողքից ցանկությունը, մնացածը թույն ա։

One of the best works by a contemporary Armenian author I've ever read and one of the best books I've read this year. A veritable page-turner — I'd have finished it sooner but I'm slower at reading Western Armenian (but if you're a reader of Eastern Armenian, don't let the Western Armenian deter you: the writing is simple and flows effortlessly, and you'll be drawn into the story so much you won't want to put this book down). Highly recommend.

I enjoyed reading the book in the Western Armenian dialect though it was sometimes confusing. The book had a good flaw, and the storyline was capturing. It was interesting to follow the main hero's journey and hear him tell his story with dark humor and bad language. I gave this book three stars because I felt that the ending was abrupt, the description of depression and suicide romanticized, and there were several topics and characters that the author could have spent more time exploring and developing.

Սուփըր հերոսներին ոչնչով չզիջող գիրք։ Անհամբեր սպասում եմ Բատիկյանի հաջորդ գործին։ Մետաղե երազներում ամեն ինչ նենց ա, ոնց պիտի լինի։ Ուրիշ ձև չի կարա լինի։ Բատիկյանի սև հումորը ստիպում ա միաժամանակ ծիծաղել ու լացել։ Էնքան հարազատ են հերոսները, էնքան հարազատ ա ամեն ինչ։ Ու էնքան էմոցիաներ, որ չգիտեմ, ոնց գրեմ.... Սա ուղղակի հոգեվիճակի գիրք ա.... Ու իմ սիրած գրքերից…

This was the first time I read a novel in Western Armenian. This book was reccomended in one of bookstores of Yerevan to a friend of mine and she decided that I will like it. Rightly so, enjoyed every single page of it, what a wonderful use of language mix.

I have to say that I was judgmental before opening the book, that it would be yet another story of the Armenian diaspora with mandatory links to the painful past. What a surprise to find in each section a a modern topic that many could link to themselves independently of their ethnic background.

Subtle humour, touching stories of childhood memories and tabu topics not common in Armenian language books. As far as such books are written and published in Western Armenian, the claim that its a dying language, is far from reality.
