One night will change the path of her life forever.
Celebrating the one year anniversary of her divorce, Alex never thought her world would be flipped upside down again. While one person betrays her, another ignites a new adventure in her life.
For the first time in years, Alex no longer feels the need to hide from her friends and family. Other than her ex having joint custody of their son, and his determination to ruin her at every turn, Alex finally feels like she can trust herself.
Or can she? Alex knows she and her son deserve a better life, but what happens when old doubts resurface? Can Alex push aside her fears, or will she let her ex’s words destroy her all over again?
Harlow Layne is known for her contemporary romance style of beautiful slow-burn, sweet, sexy and swoon-worthy alphas, and fast pace, super-steamy romance in her Love is Blind series.
Great debut novella by a new author! As with any new Author there can be hesitations, but I was pleasantly surprised by this novella. I certainly hope after finishing With Love, Alex, that she does indeed get her happily ever after. I adored Mason! What a little cutie?!! Not sure what I think of Dawn and her intentions so I’m hoping we can get the rest of the details on that situation. Taylor seems to be about the only true friend Alex has other than Ryan. I do feel like Alex went a bit off the deep end in one particular part of the story, I feel like she redeemed herself and Ryan stepped up when Alex needed him. Can’t wait for Hollywood Redemption!
This was an interesting way to lead us into single divorced mom Alex's journey to find not just her prince charming but herself again. It's a must read to understand Alex's journey to finding true happiness and love again. Every journey has it's highs and lows. Harlow Layne makes you want to follow Alex on that journey leaving you wanting more.
This is the beginning of the storyline for Alex. This is where you meet her and somewhat get to know her and who she is. She find out what is going on with her and what she has already been through. This one is about her trying to move on with a guy that she meets Matt. But Matt is not at all what she expects and sadly she has to find out the hard way. It was a fast paced short story. Beginning of Alex that got you gripped wanting to know more about her.
This was a cute fast paced intro to some of the characters that we will meet in this authors full length book. It had its own twists and turns also a lot of things that are open to possibly. I’m interested to see where the book is going to go. I love normal women meet Hollywood actor and Love ensures so I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen. 4 stars #2OCCJD
So this book is about Alex before she meets Luke. I have to say I'm not normally a prequel fan, but this one was sweet and I liked it. It gives you a bit of insight into Alex's struggles and bad relationships. I look forward to reading Hollywood redemption next!
Captivated from the start! Story line is excellent! I love how Alex lets her guard down to move on with her life. She meets some great friends that help her, as well as her current besties. The drama in the story isn’t overdone and it helps to bring the plot together. Can’t wait to read the next book in the story!
What a fantastic novella. This was a great start to what is sure to be a brilliant story. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Even though it was a novella it had plenty packed in but also flowed brilliantly. I can't wait to read the next one.
I see this as a must-read before Alex’s story truly starts. This novella provides the backstory so you’re not confused a chapter into Hollywood Redemption (like I as at first). I can’t wait to see what comes Alex’s way next.
This is an introduction to Alex who is divorced and a single mom, who is out celebrating when they meet two Hollywood actors, Colton & Matt. This is a raw, gritty, and intriguing story which I cannot wait to read more.
I loved this one and so glad I dived into it before Hollywood. I hate to admit I was falling in love with Alex and Matt. I clearly thought he was a good guy at first. Then bam Harlow added a twist and now i hate the little shit. Hands down Harlow’s books are some you can very easily get lost into. When you’re reading everything just fits and it makes you feel like you’re living through her words. She is a amazing author
I haven’t read this series but this book introduces the readers to Alex, a divorced, single mom to 6 year-old Mason. A year after her divorce she is out celebrating with two girlfriends when they happen to be in the same place as two Hollywood actors, Colton & Matt. Drinks are flowing, one thing leads to another & Alex is suddenly now part of the Hollywood/LA scene. After being in a car accident she realizes who her friends really are & the book ends with Alex on the road to recovery from her accident.
This short intro was good, introduced us to the main character & her friends, and provided enough background information. No longer able to trust some people, they are now out of her life & replaced by new people who have been there for her. Looking forward to reading the continuation of Alex finding her happy ever after!
That was one of the most bittersweet stories I have ever read. Double heartbreak and some hope for the better luck in relationship department for Alex. But not always everything goes as we would like to and that is what really moved me and why I liked this story so much. The honesty, the truth, the raw story, unexpected and hard to predict events, the pain of the heroine which was almost palpable. Very well written and nicely paced. I can't wait to get my hands on the next part and see what life has in store for Alex.
I loved Alex! My heart broke for her and her child. She’d been in a terrible marriage and was finally free, only to get involved with another controlling, lying, cheating mistake. I can’t wait to see how things turn out for her in the rest of the series!
