It’s only pretend… but this lie is starting to feel so real.

I’m a girl from Amish country.
That means I was supposed to sit down, shut up, and follow orders.
That’s not me. I’m a bad bitch, and I left that life for good.
Now I own my own company, and I call the shots.
I never wanted a man to tie me down—and I’m never getting married.
But my parents are in town to make amends, and I just need one little lie to ease the tension.
A fake boyfriend. Just for one night. And it’s only pretend.

Justin:
I don’t trust anyone. That’s not how I built my billion-dollar fortune.
And I don’t date. Casual encounters only—and I never share my real name.
When Sarah walks into my life, it’s no different.
My first mistake is agreeing to her little game.
Fool her parents once, and then her friends, and now we’re falling in bed together,
And she’s screaming my name.
But I don’t want the wrong name on her lips.
This whole fake boyfriend thing has gone way off the rails,
And we’re caught in a web of lies together.
When she sees me for who I really am—will she leave?
Or will she see the broken man inside and give me a chance at love?

Deception is a 60k+ full length novel with no cliffhangers, no cheating, lots of humor, heart, and good Amish cooking. It’s the fun beach read you’ve been hoping for!

Lexi Whitlow is a small-town girl with big dreams. She spent her early years growing up between Virginia and North Carolina, playing in the dark rich dirt of Eastern North Carolina at her granddaddy's farm. She's a Southern as can be, and she spends her days chasing her five-year-old and her puggle (that's a pug-beagle hybrid, folks) and writing her ass off.

She holds a master's degree in English literature, and her mom is so proud she's "using her degree."

Lexi harbors a not-so-secret love for bad boys. She loves fighters, tough-as-nails cowboys, bikers, and criminals. Her husband is a scientist... but he has the heart of a bad boy for sure. She spends what little free time she has crocheting, painting, and going on long walks with her family.

This is a fabulous fake fiancé romance that’s very well written and features corporate espionage, secrets, lies, and betrayals, along with plenty of steamy scenes! Sarah’s a strong, independent woman in control of all aspects of her life and her company. She’s determined to not become dependent upon a man for her livelihood and happiness. Justin is a self-made billionaire, with a reputation as a ‘vulture capitalist’ – a destroyer, not a nurturer. Their attraction is immediate and intense. When her back is to the wall, will Sarah bend to accept Justin’s assistance or is she too wilful to accept help from any man? I loved the banter and interplay between these two. I also enjoyed Sarah’s relationship with her female executives/friends and with her Amish family too. I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book from the author, and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was a fast read and in my opinion a can't put it down book. I had things figured out at about 70%, but I believe most won't see the twist coming. You have Sarah a smart, independent and successful woman. She comes from a very different background, it is far from typical that is for sure. She is also loyal and hardworking and does everything so she does not have to depend on a man. Justin is a self made billionaire who has made his money buying struggling companies and selling them off. He is smart and owns a lot of things, but once he meets Sarah he discovers there is something missing in his life. Lexi Whitlow wrote a story full of lies, betrayals, espionage and lots of hot steamy sex. There is faith, family and loyalty also included. Lexi Whitlow did wrap the story up very nicely and even brought a tear to my eye. I really enjoyed this story and in my opinion Lexi Whitlow did not disappoint. I received an ARC edition for my honest and voluntary review.

Amish meet English

Definitely different. Everything was believable except "Amish meets English" a girl of 16 with little knowledge of the outside world going to New York, eventually ends up a millionaire marrying a billionaire, isn't. Overall story and quality of writing was good. Proofreading had some glitches that if addressed would definitely make the read smoother. Some steamy intimacy scenes, no cheating or cliffhanger and you get a happy ending.

This is a great story. Totally delightful, unexpected and romantic. The main characters: Sarah Bauer and Justin Benjamin Lucas are incredibly real and believable. Sarah is a product of her Amish roots. She left the Amish community when she was sixteen and was leaving for Rumspringa. She planed on running away and making a new life. She had adults who were close to her that helped her into her new life. She went to high school and then college. She is a straight shooter and believes if you respect someone they will respect you back. She started a company Pinkbook with three of her closest friends from college. She believes in the people who work for her. She is smart and sharp in business as she is naïve in her personal feelings. She is in control and takes control of all things and guides everything and everyone around her. She fierce and loyal. Totally competent to be the CEO of Pinkbook. Pinkbook is a social media company by women for women. It is successful is a multi million dollar enterprise. She has not seen her parents in several years and they have come for a visit to meet her fiancé who she wrote about. Of course she made that up so her parents would not worry about her. She walked into a bar looking around and saw Justin hanging out with his best friend Nathan. She walked over to their table, introduced herself and told them exactly what she wanted. She needed a fake fiancé for one evening to meet her parents and she would pay for his time. Justin is a handsome multi billionaire. He is intelligent and sharp. He is a shark in the business world and all of New York knows who he is. He is a venture capitalist. He buys ailing companies gets rid of what is not profitable and sell what is. He is wary of women and gives Sarah his middle name instead of his first name. He wants to protect himself from gold-diggers. Sarah does not know who he really is. Justin agrees to be her fake fiancé and tells her to call him Ben. The dinner was a success. However, Justin is extremely intrigued by Sarah. This development is unusual for him. He wants to get to know her. The next day at dinner he tells her he is an out of work software developer. So the lies continue. They start to date. Everything Ben shares with Sarah is truthful except what his real name is and what he really does for work. He feels uncomfortable but he shares with her about his upbringing that no one knows. He is not sure why but he feels right about it. Sarah is just herself and always speaks what is on her mind. Although she gives what she says thoughtful consideration. As they spend more time with each other, Justin is impressed and attracted to Sarah and she to him. When Sarah goes to a board meeting she is antagonized by a slime ball named Daryll Lawrence. She gives as good as she takes. During the meeting her cell starts to buzz with a photo of Ben on her screen. Daryll and another board member get upset wanting to know why Justin Lucas is contacting her. They tell Sarah who he really is and she says she did not know. Justin had some mending to do. He also wanted to warn Sarah about Daryll Lawrence. She told him she had it under control. However he knew what Daryll was capable of. Will Sarah forgive Justin for lying? Will he have the chance to get to know Sarah better? Is Daryll Lawrence a greater threat than anyone imagined? Will the Pinkbook's board still have faith in Sarah despite her dating Justin? From here on out the story picks up energy. Things are not looking good for Pinkbook. Their stock is plummeting. No one knows why. They are in danger of losing everything. Is it a hostile takeover? Is there a traitor among them? Will Justin be able to help Sarah during their crisis? Will fiercely independent Sarah allow a man to help her? What of Daryll? Will he really stoop so low as to cause the destruction of all that Sarah and her friend have lived and breathed for? This is an excellent book. It is full of sit at the edge of your seat suspense. I highly recommend it. I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Deception A Secret Billionaire Romance by Lexi Whitlow Deception: A Secret Billionaire Romance By: Lexi Whitlow
Playing For Keeps...
When she desperately needs a stand in fiance to meet her parents, picking up a guy in a bar & paying him seems like a good idea...
Especially if he's H€LLA Gorgeous, Buff, & makes her feel like licking him ALL OVER...
Then, when he pulls the "Deception" off without a hitch, & then he decides he wants to REALLY date her.... just D@mn!
To say he's jaded would be an understatement...
In his experience, women want only ONE thing from him, & YES it's in his pants, but unfortunately, since he made his fortune, it's been his WALLET!!!
Sure, his looks attract women like flies, but as soon as he asks for a prenup, a contract, an agreement, or HEAVEN FORBID he Closes his WALLET...
Well, then it's BYE BYE Birdie & there's NO MORE Slap & Tickle Times because the Market's suddenly Closed!!
Then, outta the blue, this blonde bombshell with pink tips struts up to him & makes an outlandish offer... doesn't she know who he is?!
Guess not, because when he gives a fake name she's clueless at the "Deception," which is exhilarating...
He's finally being seen for himself, not his WALLET... ONLY when things HEAT up, he can't exactly come clean, & he's trapped within the "Deception" of his own making...
I was granted an ARC of Lexi Whitlow's "Deception: A Secret Billionaire Romance." I thoroughly enjoyed this witty tale, & I happily recommend this book to others based upon its own merits. All opinions expressed within this review are uniquely my own & freely given!
Until next time... Happy Reading!

Lies are only okay when...

Deception can come in many forms... in this story some lies are innocent and forgivable, your job will be deciding who to trust when. There are irritating moments, humorous moments, and of course lots of passion. Based mostly in New York City, our two CEOs battle head to head. One for the company one for love. And now a bit about the story...

At sixteen when given the opportunity, Sarah, leaves her family and embarks on a new life. Twelve years later she's a successful CEO. From peeling potatoes to controlling the board room. If only more people weren't so ambitious. But her family still expects her to marry. So during one of their visits, she marches into a bar and selects a man to play the role of her fiancee. That's when it goes uphill and downhill quickly. Grab your copy to see where the slide will end.

Favorite passages:
- We’re talking high-quality creative, entertainment for all kinds of women. It’s going to continue to succeed. Women are sick of the dated shit on Lifetime.
- Sometimes I get these odd English phrases slightly off. I shrug. I don’t give a fuck. I’ve got that phrase and that attitude down to a tee.
- No one is ever on time in this city, and women are always notoriously late for dates. I’ve heard they teach them about that in the ‘How to make men crazy for you’ classes all girls are required to attend prior to puberty.
- “I didn’t really have a reason to leave the office. When there’s nothing outside of work for you, work tends to become your life.”
- “I have houses all over the world. I can’t keep track of them all.” I grin. It sounds like an awful thing to say, but I worked hard enough to get here. She scoffs and shakes her head. “Who even says something like that?” “A billionaire with houses all over the world?” I offer.
- “Atta girl,” I grin. “Confuse‘em with the truth.”
- “A job well done is it’s own reward.”

At sixteen, Sarah had a plan: start high school, graduate college, start her own business and, oh yes, never marry! Twelve years later she is founder and CEO of PinkBook, a media company. To date, it's worth between 200-400 million dollars. I'd say, "mission accomplished."

The woman is intelligent, confident and accomplished and stunningly beautiful but she is missing one thing, and she knows just how to remedy that situation. She walks into a bar, surveys the customers and moves directly toward one gentleman, then makes him an offer he can't refuse. She is bold and beautiful ... and had him at hello. By the time she made her pitch, he was putty in her hands...and so the story begins.

The author has presented readers with an unusual story. We are given glimpses into the lives of Justin and Sarah, as well as a trip back in time to let us know what brought them to where they are today. So many things could have derailed both of them, but strong will, intelligence and determination moved them through life in unexpected ways.

There will be struggles, secrets and hidden agendas that cause havoc and somewhere along the way, barriers will shift. It is a lovely story that will touch the heart and gift the reader with many emotions...and it all started with dinner where he meets her weird parents.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Great book, one I will probably find myself reading again and again.

Absolutely loved this latest book from Ms Whitlow. Sarah and Justin are great. Sarah is a woman who grew up in an Amish family and has always wanted more out of life. When she was sixteen she made plans to not return after Rumspringa. She planned to move to New York, finish high school, go to college and start her own business. Twelve years later she has achieved all of that. She knew that she may be shunned by the community and her family when she left. She has seen her mother twice in ten years. She has told them she is engaged. Now they are coming to visit her without much forewarning. So she goes into a bar and meets Justin and offers to pay him to pose as her fiance. Justin is a very guarded man and agrees. He gives her the name of Ben and so begins the deception the two have entered into . Sarah's to her family and Justin's to Sarah. Justin wants to continue to see Sarah after they have met up with her parents. Sarah is focused on work and really doesn't date. Justin is persistent. The chemistry between these two is so hot. They also have a great connection in other ways. Both are driven, hard working, and independent. Justin is longing to let Sarah in and explain who he really is before she finds out from someone else. This story also has a bit of drama to it in the form of a board member of Sarah's who also happens to own a company Justin is trying to buy. I loved the storyline and the HEA was wonderful

I love these types of reads, two equally head strong, smart, beautiful, successful people find each other when one of them, Sarah, walks up to Justin in a bar with a proposition....pretend to be her fiancée for a couple of hours in front of her strict Amish parents and she will pay him. He agrees but little does she know that he doesn’t need the money and when the night is over, he wants more. He knows she is different, direct and doesn’t play games which he finds refreshing when the only women he meets want him for his money. He gives her a fake name and what he does for a living...how long till she finds out he is a shark in the business world and her company is one of the ones in trouble ?
An amazing read with some humour, steamy, sensual scenes that made me melt and w/o giving much away, I LOVED how it all played it especially when she learns the truth about who he is and everything that happens after...it blew me away as it doesn’t follow all the other books out there and I was very very pleasantly surprised...LOVED IT !! I also loved how Justin wasn’t a man wh*** and if he was in the past, it wasn’t broadcasted...refreshing. I also loved Sarah and her ideals and morals, how strong she was and how she didn’t give up. The ending is what had me misty eyed, especially the epilogue five years later, big sighs and swoons all around.

Another fantastic read by Lexi Whitlow. Sarah is 16 years old she’s Amish and she is leaving to go to Rumspringa that’s a program that the church fathers have put together to teach the children of the dangers of the real world. Sarah is not going to go back to her family she wants to go out and make a life for herself, but she knows that if she does she will be shunned and never allowed to see her family again. ( 12 years later ) Justin buys companies that are on the verge of collapse he buys them cheap he either breaks them up and sells them or he puts the good parts into his other business’s. Once Justin has finished his business his friend Nathan notices a gorgeous with pink tips looking around the bar, Justin’s and Sarah’s eyes meet and Sarah smiles and walks over to Justin and says to him that he’s very handsome and that he will do well. Sarah wants Justin to go to dinner with her to meet her parents and for him to act like her fiancée. Nathan accepts for Justin and then they are off in the cab to meet her parents. Sarah is now 28 and runs a company called Pink Book Media a company for women. There is so much more to this story but I thought that I would give you a big bite of this book. A fantastic read a 5 plus +++++ ⭐️read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Sarah was raised in an Amish family but breaks free at the age of 16 to become a billionaire CEO of PinkBook, the company she built with 3 of her friends. When her parents come to visit she finds Justin and Nathan in a bar and talks Justin into playing her fiancé for the evening, not knowing who he is. Nathan agrees for his friend and they're off to an interesting evening where Justin uses his second name Ben to not be recognised since he's used to woman being gold diggers. It was only a business deal for Sarah but Jason tries to get her to agree to another date. Sarah never wanted a man to possess her, so she hardly dated at all. Justin doesn't trust people and gave up dating as well when women always only wanted his money. They really happen to get to know each other but Ben doesn't come clean about who he is and what he does so everything blows up eventually. Will Sarah give him a chance to explain and apologise and can she and her friends save PinkBook?

This is the first book I read that tells a story about Amish. I had mixed emotions when I started reading but got soaked into the story fast.

I've received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review but since the book cover was missing, I decided to buy it and have my review verified.

Very good romance, very well written, with twists
I loved it from the first chapter, because the introduction into Sarah's life is quite surprising. The heroine is extremely well defined from the beginning, when she chooses to leave her family so as not to live locked up in the patriarchy of her religion at 16 years old. She also makes the decision not to marry.
12 years later, when she's successful, her hamish parents come to see her in New York and she needs a fake fiance to get rid of them. The man she chooses from a bar, Justin, is a businessman whose job is to buy companies that agonize to sell them in small pieces (not very friendly), even if his argument to defend himself is that if someone has let a viable business collapse, he does not deserve to keep it. He is tired of women interested in his money and is intrigued by this beautiful stranger who is interested in him only for his physique for a few hours of simulation in front of his parents. However, even though Sarah is an excellent businesswoman, she was also brought up with Hamish morality, completely opposite to Justin's.
The story is quite rich yet simple, between seduction, repeated lies, stock market attacks and some reversals.

Lexi Whitlow is an exceptional author and so, of course, one of the USA's top best selling authors.  In this book, Lexi has composed a delicious storyline for us that is most definitely unique! Our heroine, Sarah, was Amish born and bred but it wasn't for her and so she rebelled, left and set up her own business with three friends.  PinkBook is an online community for women.  |When Sarah's parents come to visit she realises that she needs help and quick - she needs a fake fiancée and she finds just the man to play the part at a bar.  he says his name is Ben and what she doesn't know is that his name is Justin, he's a billionaire and doesn't do relationships. The meeting goes so well and the chemistry between them is combustible.  But how will Sarah feel when she discovers all his lies? Will they stand a chance of a real relationship?  Wonderful characters that are so lifelike that it is almost as if they are 'real' and the writing flowed so well that I just couldn't put the story down.  It's so good that I will be re-reading this story in the future.  Get yourself a copy and enjoy!  I look forward to reading Lexi's next book. I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Most definitely recommended!

KICKING IT TO THE CURB!!!
Man, what this woman can do with a few words. She can toss you up, flick her wrist and you go flying, snap an elbow and you're on the floor. Her stories always flows smoothly like a mountain spring. The characters are complex with rough and tumble ways. When the two main characters meet sparks fly with some high octane and steamy scenes that you feel the heat. Yep! A real kicker. The scenes come together as realistically and amazing in real time that you have no trouble relating to or believing in them. They have srong character development that runs through the storyline with incredible personalities that vary but blend in perfectly. Throw in some intrigue, a little suspense, a few twists and turns and you run with these amazing characters that play this out so believably human with feelings that you get all of it and want to jump in and help a guy. Not really. This is one page turning, nerve racking, bada** read that keeps it real and you'd stay there forever if you could. Lexi did a remarkable job bringing this read to life flawlessly. Great job Lexi, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.

This was a great story from Lexi Whitlow!

Sarah born & raised Amish makes a point to not be the Amish wife and mother she’s expected to be. She leaves at 16 and never looks back. Years later she’s CEO of a multimillion dollar start up company. Sarah has no interest in a man especially with the memories she has of the men running the women’s lives back in the Amish community, she wants no part of that! But when her parents surprise her with a rare visit she needs a man on her arm to pose as her fiancé that she wrote to them about in an attempted to keep them pleased. Walking into a random bar she spots Justin. After making him an offer to pose as the fiancé they’re on their way to dinner with her parents.
Justin has his own secrets that he’s keeping from Sarah. Once he comes clean other deceptions are in play threatening Sarah’s company. The question is can Sarah & Justin overcome all the deception in time to save her company and their relationship?

Sarah was raised Amish but had thoughts of her own she wanted to pursue. Sarah goes to New York when she gets the chance to explore the world outside the small community she grew up in. When her parents are visiting she needs someone to pretend to be her man so her parents will be ok with the life she is leading. Sarah is a successful business woman with amazing friends she loves and works with. Justin is a shark in the business world and is amazed when this hot woman propositions him but he is intrigue enough to agree to her plan. Everything was going great until things turned real very quickly. Will Sarah be able to forgive Justin for not being completely truthful with her?

This was a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Sarah and Justin is sensually hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this to any of my book friends.

A beautiful heart-felt story, full of excitement, passion and intrigue. This story did a wonderful job of melding corporate intrigue, a fake fiancé and discovering the importance of true love. Sarah was a fabulous character, who despite being raised in a patriarchal society, was able to hold on to the valuable life lessons she had learnt and appreciated the benefits of family and community, despite feelings the need to give up this lifestyle to stay true to herself and her life goals. An amazing, strong woman, who didn’t lose an ounce of that strength when she met Justin, who thought he had it all - money, power, success - until he met Sarah.

A powerful and beautiful story, as well as a exciting and steamy romance. I highly recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Deception is a delightful book. A ruthless billionaire tycoon meets a successful business woman who needs him to convince her Amish parents that they are engaged. One thing leads to another and they become an item. Justin was not always wealthy however, he grew up in foster care and is a self made man. Sarah left her Amish community during Rumspringa and never returned. She along with 3 friends started their own successful company, but she still retains her Amish principles. Their love overcomes treachery and betrayal and turns a corporate raider into a founder of business.

There are glimpses into the Amish lifestyle but no bias either way just as there are references to the difficulties inherent in the foster care system. Justin and Sarah are equals in all things and there is a really lovely happy ever after.

I received an ARC of Deception by Lexi Whitlow for an honest review.

This is a story of two very powerful business executives. Justin is a ruthless man who will do whatever he needs to in order to buy out failing companies and “recycle” anything leftover. Sarah is a woman who was raised in the Amish community and chose to leave when she was just 16 to pursue the English way of life. She goes on to become a successful CEO in the firm she started with her best friends. What begins as a fake engagement turns into so much more between these two. Add into the mix, the sabotaging of Sarah’s company and Justin’s questionable reputation and you have the reader wondering what’s really going on. Can love survive for these two? Will Sarah’s friends stand by her or will they convince her to believe the worst? No cliffhanger and an Epilogue that brings it all together.

This book kept me captivated from the beginning and what’s not to love about wanting to be the best you can while not losing your self in the process. Being brought up Amish Sarah had bigger plans for her life other than being married so she went against her parents wishes and left to start this amazing life and with her 3 friends she has that being the CEO in Pinkbook a social media company by women for women. So what’s a girl to do when her parents are in town to make peace with her get a the fake fiancé that she told them about so enter Ben (Justin) a venture capitalist and multi billionaire so what starts out as fake, lies and deception quickly grows into more and Ben wants see where this hot chemistry between them goes but can it go anywhere when it’s built on lies read this book to find out. Every time I read and review a new book by Lexi Whitlow i say its my new favorite!!! Lets be honest here.... author Lexi Whitlow is a master at her craft, she weaves her words in a way that draw you into the story that feel that you are like a fly on the wall witnessing everything going on.
Deception is about Sarah and Justin, a couple that are so different with different beliefs and backgrounds which only makes their relationship stronger as they fill in the missing pieces to become this perfect unstoppable power couple.
This is a fantastic story about Sarah an Amish girl who came to New York with dreams of making it big and Justin a Billionaire coporate raider from the wrong side of the tracks filled with lies, deception, blackmail and a steamy romance that will withstand obstacles thrown at it.

Well, here is another "best seller" in my books! A great spin on Sarah who leaves her Amish community to prove to her parents & to herself that she will succeed on her own. When her parents are going to come to the big city to see her, she fibs & says she has a boyfriend. Pressure's on & she offers to pay money for a stranger, Justin, to pose as her devoted boyfriend. Justin plays along with this deception & technically not being quite as open on his true background, until he realizes he wants to play for keeps & he has to come clean if he wants her forever. He learns more about her Amish roots & respects her that much more with her beliefs. The lies get them in deeper with her parents. You'll just have to get this book in order to find out how they face the truth with each other & to everyone else. Everything was great about this book.

What happens when a girl from an Amish background meets a boy with a tough, hard nature, and they start their association with a lie? You have to read this to find out! It is a great love story that has humor, a little intrigue, some angst, and plenty of steamy romance.

This is a wonderfully engaging tale. It has a great story line and well-developed characters with just the right mix of drama, hot romance and strong emotions throughout the book. The narrative flows easily, effortlessly pulling you into the lives of the Sarah and Justin. Once you start reading you will find it hard to put down. I highly recommend this as a very enjoyable must read!!

Well, after finishing Deception I know one thing- Lexi Whitlow's latest book is a hostile takeover of the heart!
I was immensely engrossed in the lives and the uniquely twisted storyline that surrounded two sharp, well-defined characters-Justin and Sarah.
Wickedly sexy, with some heart bleeding moments, this one pulled me in different directions throughout, kept me on the edge of frustration cliff watching them fumble their way through romance woes as the sparks between them grew into an inferno they didn't see coming.
While outsiders made their moves.
The dark tinges, mixed with light, humor and an excellent all-around story made for a book I read until I finally passed out!

What a great story.

Sarah was one that was looking forward to Rumspringa. She knew the Amish life style was not for her. She knew that she wanted to experience the world and what it had to offer. I think it was sad that she would no longer be able to have a relationship with her family and her friends that she knew all her life.

Justin was so sexy. Not only was he wealthy but he wanted a woman that could love him for him. So many women out there only could focus on the wealth and power it would bring.

I loved Sarah and Justin’s first meat. I also loved when Justin first met Sarah’s parents. These two will have several struggles but there love is strong. I loved the passion between these two.

This was a great book and glad I got a chance to read the book.

Sarah knows there is a bigger world out there than what she has grown up in. She escapes the oppressive world & creates a new life. In trying to gain her family's approval, she makes a deal with Justin. Their relationship grows in a crazy way and I loved watching smart, ambitious Sarah do her thing. Justin was so good to recognise how not to be a white knight and still support & protect her. Excellent read with intelligent characters in this fast-paced book with some great secondary characters (.well, except for the traitorous one!).

I received an arc of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it.

This story features Sarah and Justin. She left the Amish community at 16 and built a successful company with three of her best friends. I found it refreshing that because of being raised Amish, Sarah is completely different that most female main characters. Her Amish background meshed well into the story line. Justin is a corporate raider but he’s only after her and not her company. This is their story full of doubt, lies, misunderstandings, friendship and love. I have to express my disappointment in Millie. She really shocked me.

This is a great story with some interesting characters. I absolutely loved the epilogue!

This is a really good romance with lots of heat. 💕🔥💕

Sarah is an Amish girl who took her chance at "Rumspringa" and left everything she knew behind for a new start in life. She's done very well for herself and now she's finally going to see her father for the first time since she left. That's where Justin comes in. She needs a fiancé to show her family that she's happy with her life and to stop them from worrying. 💖😍💖

I really enjoyed reading this book because it was full of laughter, passion, friends, intrigue, and love. 💞💜💞

A delightful read! This is a very entertaining and informative novel. The two main male and female characters are both very strong and focused individuals, with lots of drive and determination. Both had unsettling childhoods, albeit the main male character's being without much love and the main female character's filled with love and lots of family. These two begin a journey together based upon a very rocky foundation. Through drama, corporate espionage, sabotage, betrayal, adventure and angst, love jelled for the to main characters.

I received an advance review copy of this novel and I am leaving an honest review.
