Stealth is a cyborg, destined to die in battle, and Zebrina was the commander's daughter, a human, someone he wasn't even supposed to look at, much less touch. But touch he did... and so much more. When their planet is no longer safe, they make the decision to leave and finally live together openly. However, Stealth is a soldier and when it comes to protecting his mate, he's always willing to lay his life on the line.
A couple of years later, Zebrina is raising their son alone, separated from the other colonists due to heavy amounts of discrimination, and desperately clinging to the hope that Stealth is still alive. When he finally reaches her, they not only get the chance to rejoice in their reunion, but they have to learn each other again and figure out how to work as a family.
I enjoyed the fact that this story explored speciesism and didn't shy away from how ugly it could be. I loved how fierce these characters were in the face of such ignorance and irrational hate, how compassionate they were despite the negativity, and how their love grew so strong in the midst of it.
This was such an easy read. There is just something about Cynthia Sax's writing and the cyborgs she creates that I can't get enough of! Her stories are special, her characters are a wonder, and she's definitely earned her place on my must-read list.

Emotionally intense.
Oh why oh why did you have to go and make me cry Cynthia Sax!!! And why why why did you have to kill Lethal and Boom??? I had to stop reading to compose myself after I read Stealth's retelling of their deaths. I liked them some much I just couldn't take it, I wanted them so much to find their females and get the happily ever after they so deserved after all they'd suffered. I know life isn't always fair and war is brutal but don't make it so realistic please.... give us just a touch of an illusion that life doesn't have to be so cruel even though sometimes it's anything but.
Stealth and Zabrina's love just blew me away. Their love story was beautiful, aw -inspiring and so so moving making me cry more than once. Stealth loved his female with all his being with all that he was, saying the most heart felt words I've ever heard any man tell his woman. He is officially my favourite cyborg knocking off all others out of my top spot. God if only really men could express themselves as eloquently as this cyborg did there'd be way more happier women in the world. My heart melted when I read his words definitely swoon worthy. The way he tried so hard to win over his son and be the father he so needed was heart warming. Is their anything more moving than a man who adores children? I think not and my ovaries agree. He was the epitome of perfection, had it all; a wonderful personality so loving and caring. Deliciously alpha male he had the 3p's; protective, possessive and oh so passionate. Hot damn those love scenes between them were EXPLOSIVE!!! Lord have mercy I nearly went up in flames and disintegrated into a pile of ash on my sofa *fans herself* it was just that GOOD!!! They couldn't keep their hands off each other and who would blame Zebrina he was sex on legs; big, strong with well defined muscles everywhere and packing some serious hardware. All I want to know is where do I have to sign up to get a cyborg of my very own??? Please Cynthia tell meeee!!! This story satisfied all my book desires, it was packed full of love and passion, angst, sorrow, action and my all time favourite babies, babies and more babies I just love it!!! I recommend any sci-fi lovers to pick up this author's cyborg series you WON'T regret It!

When I tell you that my eyes started to water on page 2, and by the end of the book I was kind of dehydrated. 😭
Their relationship was doomed. She was human, the daughter of his tormenter, and he was a cyborg, designed to die fighting.
Every moment with her was a gift, a reward for having survived as long as he had.
The angst game was strong and I loved it.

This was a freebie, and I’m not familiar with the series (In the Stars) which looks like a multi-author thing. I have read one other of C.S.’s cyborg series, so I was sort of familiar with it. Turns out the MC’s son ends up being friends with the son of the couple from Releasing Rage the only other book I read… go figure 😊
This was Zebrina and Stealth’s story. It wasn’t near as violent, or smuty as the other book I read. This was a quick read, about a second chance after a 2-3 year separation. It's pretty sweet. Overall, ok read for a freebie.

I'll read just about anything when it's free. This was an overall good book. There was drama, fighting, love, sex, and a baby (kind of). The cyborg's names are very interesting, especially the second generation ones. I wouldn't mind reading more of this series if I don't have to pay almost $4 for under 200 pages...ebook pricing issues.

A sweet and sad read.
I absolutely love secret baby romance. I can’t figure out why. If the baby is a secret then something went wrong in the relationship. I absolutely hate romances with no HEA. So why I like secret baby romance is a conundrum. Lol.
This secret baby romance was all about sacrifice to save your loved ones. Which made it touching and sad. Some of those sacrifices were of great characters that I would have loved to see in future stories.
I cried for Gap, Lethal, and Boom in this series (not solely in this book). It hurts me that the author makes such worthy characters who are then lost for a great(er) purpose. They are never forgotten though. I was warned that the body count was high. It would be cool if the author made a spinoff of these characters in their own stories. Like an alternate universe maybe. Where they get their HEA’s. I would love that!
Oh well, wishful thinking... lol
This was a good read. It was funny and heartfelt and bittersweet all at once. I loved the focus on offspring development and would love to see more. Keep up the good work CS! Can’t wait for the next installment in the Cyborg universe.

Excellent story.
I love all of Cynthia Sax's cyborg books. This one is no different. It did make me a little teary in a couple of places, but overall, I totally loved this story.

One word: Perfect!
This book has it all: many hot scenes, a perfect and interesting solid story and evokes so many feelings.
I seriously cried my eyes out... I really really wanted Lethal to find his mate... I don't understand why it had to end this way.
Truth be told, I never expected to read a romance book with such a solid story and attention to the detail.
This was the first book of Cynthia Sax I ever read. I will definitely read more of them :)

The secret baby trope is one of my least favorites, but I couldn't resit picking this one up on a promo since Cynthia Sax's cyborgs are so much fun. In an acceptable riff on the trope, the secret is intentional. They MCs are separated by war and out of communication although determined to reunite.

Lots of action, mayhem, chaos, and danger surrounds them. Fleeing the planet he must send her to safety while he stays to fight! Will he survive, to rejoin her? Will it be to late? What surprises awaits? More battles are coming, hopefully they will survive!

When Stealth first saw Zebrina, he thought she was the most beautiful human he ever saw. Her touch alone set him off. He knew she was his mate. She may be the Humanoid Alliance Commander’s Daughter but she was still his. He would protector with his life. Zebrina played dumb around the HA crew. She knew that made her look foolish but still she was able to interact with the Cyborgs without having them hurt, especially Stealth. He made her feel and want things.
Stealth was truly loyal to his brethren. He wanted to be free like any other cyborg but he also cared for Zebrina. It broke my heart when they had to part. I can understand why everyone else stated they cried ugly tears. This book certainly did that. So much time has passed. Zebrina trying to survive on a rock of a planet, not knowing what it so happen to her and her son. When Stealth does arrive, there is so much hurt and loss. They have to work through so much. Plus a son that doesn’t want to be a cyborg but treated normal. I love these cyborg books. Cynthia never fails to bring it.

Enjoyed
First time reading this author and I enjoyed the story and writing style. It was smooth and easy to read. I don’t know if I’ll read any more books by this author however. I was looking forward to the stories of secondary characters (especially lethal) and I was very disappointed with how she handled his character.
There’s no cheating and they’re both faithful to one another while separated. There’s minor OM; another male is interested in h but she doesn’t reciprocate his interest. Heroes past isn’t mentioned. Heroine isn’t a virgin, doesn’t belong completely to hero and her past is mentioned, about how she’s spread her legs for other species and they did nothing for her🤮🤮🤮That alone is why I’m knocking off two stars from my review. There’s an HEA.
The best part of the book was the hero. He was intense and endearing and I loved him.

I didn't liked it. Why the heck she gone and killed those two cyborgs!!! Not only I wanted theirs stories, but I got all emotional just at mention on them.

I loved Stealth. Devoted. Warrior. Loyal. Loving. Fierce. Perfection.
I liked Zebrina. I was a bit worried first meeting her, but she wasn't what she portrayed and I liked her true colors. But there was a couple moments, when I wasn't happy with her. How she had some doubts about Stealth being in her and her sons lifes, when he come after her. And then there were how she acted with her blue friend. Sometimes, it felt for me that she cared more about her friends feelings then her Stealths.

A devotion that transcends time and distance!
Finding love on a planet that is waist-deep in a volatile war is highly improbable, but Stealth and Zebrina achieve that! Zebrina is an intelligent young woman, thoughtful, and caring, though appearing to be a ditzy female. She is appreciated and admired by many. Stealth is so ultra-protective, he will do whatever it takes to keep her safe. He is steadfast, loving, and well-versed in battling their opponents. “You’re my universe” he tells Zebrina.
What a splendid love story this is! Ms. Sax never fails to delve deep into their emotions - and she takes me right along for the ride! Yes, there are battles, traumas, disagreements, some indecisiveness, but nothing can compete with love!

Cyborg Stealth is a fierce warrior except when with his female Zebrina. Then he's a fierce protector. The human woman has taken possession of Stealth's heart and he doesn't mind at all. Stealth and Zebrina plan to escape together so that they can be together openly. When Stealth is forced to send Zebrina away alone to protect her, Zebrina fears he may never know her secret. Stealth has a son he's never met.
This story tugs at the heartstrings. There's great loss and sadness, but that's balanced with the joy and happiness created when two beings fight to build a family together and succeed. This In The Stars book is an offshoot of Ms. Sax's Cyborg Sizzle series and is just as enjoyable.

Cynthia Sax is one of my all time favorite SFR authors.
The Cyborg's Secret Baby just goes to show what a very talented writer she is.
There are very serious and down right agonizing situations in this book. But there are funny as hell moments too. Always are when you are use to the Cyborg's being very literal and holding themselves a certain way. Then you throw an offspring into the mix that has a human mother and his Cyborg father, for reasons you have to read the book to find out, isn't there until later on. You have a fully developed cyborg with the maturity and mannerisms of a 16 year old boy. Yeah you can just imagine that. Lol.
I would highly recommend this book.

Pioneer cyborg/human family
I'm sure I've never read a cyborg story like this! Cynthia Sax's world-building skills are front and center in this little saga of love and loss, devotion and duty, and the importance of belonging. I loved every minute of it - even the ones I spent crying - because the only thing Ms. Sax does better than creating a future world is sharing the minds and heart of its beings, cyborg and humanoid alike. With her uniquely economic descriptions and creative use of vocabulary, she puts you right in the middle of the book, and won't let you go until the last page is read. Fantastic!

Can I give 10⭐️s?
I knew I’d ugly cry throughout this story from the minute I read the blurb, and I exceeded that expectation. I wasn’t sure how a “secret baby” story could go, based on this authors previous works, but I’m thrilled with the creativity and imagination used to make this story so unique from other “secret baby” types. It was filled with the expected (and anticipated!) blood and gore, with tears and ugly crying, but it was also silly and sweet, with a storyline that was interesting and entertaining.

THE CYBORG’S SECRET BABY is very intense, and very emotional. There is a lot of action, with several unexpected turns of events. Stealth is a wonderful being, he will protect his human female at all costs, and Zebrina might be small but she’s a ferocious warrior in her own way. Cynthia Sax’s prose is always very eloquent, but in this book the visuals are astonishing, and it would make a fantastic movie. THE CYBORG’S SECRET BABY is everything we expect from Cynthia Sax and more!

Ms. Sax's books never fail to make me feel great swings of emotion, from tears to laughter. Her heroes are tortured souls and her heroines strong women who stick by their man no matter what. The endings are bittersweet. Always a great read.

Another Amazing Story
Behind sacrifice are amazing heroes. The characters are well developed and the storyline fits perfectly with all that have come before this one. Tears were she's but I enjoyed eve minute.
Behind sacrifice are amazing heroes. The characters are well developed and the storyline fits perfectly with all that have come before this one. Tears were she's but I enjoyed eve minute.

Cynthia was writes the best cyborgs alpha' s, they are very short sighted to anything that would make their love come first. They are totally dedicated to all of her needs. They are good, touch and completely lovable.

Vengeance is my new fave cyborg! He was just so intense and passionate in both his life as a warrior and Zebrina's Male. That male also had a definite way with words😉
