This is the first book (booklet) that I had read for this author, who is also a close friend) and I loved it, it’s about being human when dealing with a customer, respect and appreciation, after all we cannot have a customer when we don’t have a product or a service that we have to give, so when someone uses that product or a service we must first be thankful and then we make sure that what are providing gives the utmost satisfaction to those users. you find many businesses open, how many do stay open? Only those that made sure their products and services are up to the standard required, otherwise we lose, in fact both Us and the customer will lose, and here is the biggest dilemma, as there is no point in providing faulty products and bad service, no one wins.
Only read this book because my manager told me to.
So corny, so corporate, so capitalist, all the while the author is, sadly, completely oblivious to its nature. But the world is full of people who fall in this lane so it only makes sense that this book was written.

I’ve followed the author on social media for years, and Chai Karak: A Customer Service Story left a lasting impact on me. I read it when I became a Cabin Service Manager, and its region-specific insights were both practical and relatable. Even after changing careers, I still apply its lessons today. I’ve recommended it often and always suggest colleagues pick it up from Duty Free Bahrain, it’s a gem.
