Revenge is a dish best served cold. Which is a real problem when the attraction runs red-hot.Trust me. I know. Renovate. Reopen. Put his peachy butt out of business.Until he decided to get under my skin—and broke my toe. Now, I’m stuck with Chase in my store every day, helping me renovate. But he’s also in my head, and I’m spending a little too much time up against his abs.Not that it’s the worst place to be. But it doesn’t change anything. I still hate him, and I’m still going to get my revenge.Right?

Emma Hart is one of the top romantic comedy authors there are out there! I am declaring it! I am in the process of stalking her faithfully.

Best Served Cold is the story of Raelynn and Chase.

This couple is epically funny! They are fantastically real and they love each other despite their idiosyncrasies. They both know they have rough edges, but as Chase says "her rough edges fit to mine..."

Rae and Chase have a long history. It's lovely and then it's not. There is some epic fails on Chase's part to keep Rae in his life. And Rae learns that love comes in all different degrees and changes as you become older, wiser and more yourself.

This isn't an insta-love story. This is a real story of love, heartbreak and above all else, forgiveness. It's about letting the grudges and hurts go and embrace the here and now. To try to forget the past and move forward.

I absolutely loved this story, I have yet to read something by Ms. Hart that I haven't liked.

If you are looking for a laugh out loud, steamy, romantic story with a dash of revenge thrown in. Get Best Served Cold, you won't regret it!

PS. You will get a cute little story about otters too!! Who doesn't love otters?!?

“You’re my penguin.”

Do you know the feeling when you are in a certain mood and you find exactly the book that matches with it? A book you wouldn't normally like so much but because you read it in the right time, you fall in love with it? Me with Best Served Cold.

I don't like second chance love stories but this one didn't feel like it. Raelynn inherited an ice-cream shop and after that she broke up with her boyfriend, Chase. He didn't understand why and wanted her back so what did he do? Opened his own ice-cream shop right next to Raelynn's. What a jerk. Now, two years later, Raelynn is not as succesfull as Chase so she decide to renovate her shop. And Chase decides to make his moves to get her back.

It was so much fun reading this! It was a light read, no unnecessary drama, a lot of funny and adorable scenes, natural chemistry and the banter between Rae and Chase? I laughed so many times.

One of the best rom-coms I've ever read.

Best served cold was a refreshing, fun, romantic comedy and it was like a breath of fresh air. Emma Hart is such a talented author who weaves a wonderful story-line filled with humour, angst and romance.

The main characters have a jaded history and now own shops next door to each other and in direct competition with each other. Still they were wonderful as was the tension between them and the undeniable attraction.

Raelynn was a fantastic character. Funny, unique and warm she was a delight to read about.  I want one of her special ice-creams.

Chase comes across as a complete resentful sneak at first but we quickly start seeing things through his viewpoint and all is not as it seems.

I really enjoyed the dual Point of view of both of these characters, they were funny and quirky and a pleasure to read about. The dual  Point of view was important to the story-line and worked so well. It was always clear whose Point of view we were reading as the chapters were entitled with the characters POV.

Aside from our wonderful main duo, there were a host of brilliant characters that enriched the  story. This was a nicely paced, well written piece of ice-cream coated bliss.

Thank you to Emma Hart and SocialButterfly PR for providing me with a review copy of Best Served Cold.

Best Sold Cold is the latest romantic comedy from one of my all time favorite authors, Emma Hart. She serves up a deliciously funny second chance romance with this one, and readers are going to swooning HARD. Not only is this a second chance romance but it is also an enemies to lovers/ exes to lovers romcom. You can imagine just how good the banter is between these two, can't you?

Rae and Chase have a history. They dated for two years before she broke his heart. Running an ice cream business is what keeps her occupied in the next couple of years and she has not time to think about men, especially her ex. But when he buys a shop right next to hers and opens up his own ice cream shop things get really heated.

Rae is downright pissed at him! How dare he take her dreams and try and run her out of the one thing that truly means anything to her? And on top of that, he has to be right next door to her all the time? How can a girl ignore something so blatant as this? Well, she can't. And the two have quite a few run ins with each other. What will happen between them? You'll have to read it!

Filled with a snarky, snide, and downright sassy heroine, readers are going to eat this one up! It's downright hilarious and the banter between these two enemies is top notch! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hilarious romantic comedy! You don't want to miss it.

Now, this is the perfect book to get you out of a reading slump. Funny, short and interesting.
I really liked this couple. Hate at first, turning into love - not that love didn’t exist before, they were a couple 2 years ago, but let’s pretend that the girl was “new” at this love chapter considering that she hated Chase.
Anyway, I laughed a lot! How could someone be so clumsy?? I don’t get it. Lucky for Rae, Chase was there for the rescue - every time!
Another thing that I liked in this book was the connection Rae and Chase had with Rae’s grandparents. It was so cute, especially the ending when Chase and Sam started something together (no spoiler here! You have to find out on your own if you are curious).
Oh! And Otter! (Lifetime connection)
Favourite quotes:
“I hated snakes. Hated them. With a passion. Which was probably why I didn’t get along with most girls in high school.”
“Just because you fall in love with someone once doesn’t mean that’s the only time. How do you think those couples who have been together for, like, seventy years do it? They don’t love each other at eighty the way they did when they were twenty or even at fifty. Love isn’t one size fits all. Love evolves as you grow and change.”
“I know I can’t please everybody. I’m not a vibrator.” (This one was so damn funny! 😂😂😂)

“She was rough around the edges, and so was I. Find me a human who wasn’t a little rough around the edges on the inside. All I hoped was that she’d wake up and realize that her rough edges fit right into mine.”

You know the romance reads that make you feel all gooey, happy, and lively inside? Well, that is the kind of romance that Emma Hart writes EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. With almost no effort, she transports her readers to a magical place full of happiness, joy, hilarity, and love. The characters that she creates are so easy to fall for, with their comedic and witty banter and quips. I can never get enough. Sweet, sexy, and hilarious romantic comedies are her bread and butter and I can’t devour them fast enough. It feels like she releases a book every few months, keeping me well and truly satisfied with all of her words! I just LOVE IT!

In Best Served Cold, we get both Rae and Chase’s POV which made me so damn happy! Raelynn is just a ball of fire…giving as good as she gets…standing down to nothing and no one. Some might even call her stubborn, but that someone is definitely NOT me! Chase is just so cute and so oblivious to his actions. I don’t know whether I wanted to slap him upside the head or grab him and never let go. Together, these two bring out the best and worst in each other and I loved seeing it all play out. The comedic breaks were, of course, absolutely hilarious! The feelings were right on point. It got emotionally heated…I felt the heartbreak deep in my bones, but you know that amazing happily ever after is coming so there is nothing to worry about. I loved every second of this standalone rom-com and I can’t wait until Ms. Hart wows us again with her next release!

⭐3,5 unicorn stars!⭐

Best Served Cold was a funny light-hearted story about two people who were so madly in love with each other but insecurities got in their way.

For me, this book was not what I'm used to in Emma Hart's previous books. The banter was too much for my liking and the hate was a little bit redicilous but the overall, it was an okay read.

In true Emma Hart fashion she gives us a priceless, entertaining, laugh out loud RomCom that is undeniably perfection! I devoured this hilarious book in less than 24 hours because I just couldn't put it down. Raelynn and Chase's story was filled with hurt, witty banter, laughable one-liners and rekindled love....so how could you go wrong! This is unequivocally one of my favorite RomCom's this year!

NO SPOILERS!

Best Served Cold was a fun, hilarious, and entertaining standalone romantic comedy, and I loved it so much! The storyline and characters were wonderful, and I really enjoyed Emma Hart’s writing style and sense of humor. Best Served Cold has definitely been one of my favorite rom-coms from Ms. Hart so far, and I’m looking forward to her next one, Tequila, Tequila!

The storyline was very enjoyable. The plot was fun, fresh, unique, and kept me entertained from beginning to end. I loved the enemies-to-lovers/second chance romance aspect, and Emma Hart did a fantastic job combining these two tropes in one book. Best Served Cold was a little different than I expected, but was pleasantly surprised with how everything turned out.

The characters were pieces of work, but amazing nonetheless. Chase and Raelynn were stubborn, feisty, sarcastic, and independent, but also sweet with hearts of gold. Chase and Raelynn definitely had their moments, that’s for sure, but despite some of their flaws, I loved them anyway. Chase and Raelynn had great personalities, and I really enjoyed their chemistry together and how most of their relationship progressed throughout. I loved reading the book from both Chase and Raelynn’s point of view, and all of their banter and interactions with each other. These two could argue and bicker like no tomorrow, and it was very entertaining. Chase and Raelynn’s journey wasn’t exactly easy, and there were some obstacles and other things to overcome, but I was very happy with the conclusion to their story. The secondary characters added another fun and entertaining element, and I enjoyed them very much.

Best Served Cold was a fun, flirty, and entertaining standalone enemies-to-lovers/second chance romantic comedy, and I would HIGHLY recommend it! Emma Hart did an excellent job with Chase and Raelynn’s story, and I was satisfied with the outcome. Best Served Cold has been one of my favorite rom-coms from this author so far, and I can’t wait to read her next one, Tequila, Tequila!

A fun, breezy, light romantic comedy that will leaves you smiling like a fool!! Emma Hart has done it again with Best Served Cold, a second chance romance that was witty, full of banter, and of course Hart’s sass. Hart serves a romance that will leave readers devouring this book in one sitting. With wonderful charismatic characters and a lovely story line, I couldn’t help but fall in love with love. This book was another reminder of hope and possibility of fixing our mistakes and getting that chance to rewrite our chapters. So if you are looking for romance that made you feel bliss, laughter, and pure joy then this is the book for you.

*3.5 Stars!*

For two years, Raelynn Fortune has watched as her ex-boyfriend, Chase Aaron, and owner of the rival ice cream shop across the street steal away her customers one by one. What's even worse is that he used her own design plan to do so and now Raelynn's shop is suffering because of it. But now she's done playing around and she's ready to take back the title as the best ice cream shop in Key West. Raelynn's got a new plan up her sleeve and if things go her way she'll not only get her sweet revenge, she might even shut down her competition—for good.

It's been a minute since I read a book by Emma Hart but when I saw the cover reveal for Best Served Cold I knew that it was too cute to pass up on so I eagerly snatched it up on release day. Best Served Cold can best be described as a foodie romance about lovers turned rivals who somehow end up falling back in love again. This book basically screamed my name because it has all of my favorite tropes! The writing is in true Emma Hart fashion: entertaining banter, awkward and hilarious situations between our MCs and an animated cast of secondary characters. I was hooked from the first line and was laughing up a storm while reading. Not gonna lie, this book made me really hungry while I was reading it. Raelynn basically lives and breathes ice cream so throughout this book she was coming up with a number of different concoctions that all sounded so yummy and even though I'm lactose intolerant, I so wanted to try one of her unicorn sundaes.

Raelynn is a hoot. She reminded me a lot of my own self with her clumsiness and hot-tempered mouth. She always had to have the last word and is stubborn as a mule. But I love how passionate and creative she is. She wears her heart on her sleeves so when she makes up her mind to do something, she puts her whole heart into it. Chase did piss me off at the beginning of this book. He does some unnecessary things which was what caused the rift between him and Raelynn, but he admitted that he did not make the best decision at times and once he owned up to his mistakes, I started to find him rather charming. He's super supportive of Raelynn and he honestly just wants her to be happy, even if that means he can't be in her life anymore. This romance was angsty as hell! Like these two spent majority of the book arguing more than anything. I kept screaming at my eReader for these two to just kiss and makeup because I was dying. Raelynn has a lot of trust issues that she has to work through before she can let Chase in again but the wait was definitely worth it in the end.

While I enjoyed Emma Hart's latest release, I kind of felt like there was that "something special" missing. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it left me with the feeling of wanting more and I didn't like that.

All in all, Best Served Cold was a sweet and hilarious romance and would recommend it if you're in the mood for a lighter romance. Hopefully I can squeeze in another Emma Hart romance soon instead of waiting for ten months to pass by before I do so, lol.

Just when I thought I could not love Emma Hart’s writing any more, she just served us all a big heaping helping of fun in Best Served Cold, which is by far my favorite rom com this year!

Best Served Cold is the story of once lovers now enemies who have been at odds for two years. Raelynn is the owner of a failing ice cream shop and her ex boyfriend, Chase, is her competition. Right. Next. Door. While Chase has gone about fixing things with Raelynn the wrong way, he finally tells her the truth and now Raelynn must decide if she still wants to get her revenge.

Everything about this story is a win for me. From the banter between Chase and Raelynn to their chemistry, sexiness and even the unfinished business between them, everything flowed perfectly and I was totally lost in their story from beginning to end! I adore the family and friends as they brought so much to the story as well. A MUST read for any Emma Hart fan!

PS - Can we take a minute to discuss that cover? Absolute perfection. That cover IS Raelynn, period.

Apenas entretenido....

Pero de resto... Me pareció medio tonto, todo lo relacionado al motivo por el que ella terminó con Chase y la razón por el que él montó su heladería ¬¬

Creo que eso me hizo que me pareciera medio ridícula la historia

Best Served Cold is a second chance stand-alone Romance written by the wonderful Emma Hart. It was actually my first Emma Hart book and I had fun reading it but I can't say that it was my favorite. It was a short romance read and I think it'll work out for people who're looking for something light, quick, and fun. Raelynn and Chase are enjoyable characters but I found Raelynn a bit too stubborn. I really loved the cute cover of this book it was the first thing that grabbed my attention and let me tell you guys, you'll crave for Ice-cream while reading this book and it was a sweet torture.

Raelynn Fortune break ups with her boyfriend because she wanted to concentrate on her dream which is running her family business, an Ice Cream Store called Best Served Cold. She shared all her plans and Ideas about her dream store with her boyfriend Chase before they broke up. Chase is not ready to give up on their relationship because he knows that she still has feelings for him. After one month of the break up, Chase opens his own Ice Cream store right next to her. Because of his new store, her business starts failing, and Raelynn was hurt by his betrayal. After two years, She's finally ready to fight back by renovating her old store and get him out of business, but during the renovations Raelynn hurts her toe because of Chase. Feeling guilty about her situation, Chase helps her out until her toe gets healed and hence begins the cat and mouse game. Her attraction for Chase re-ignites, but she still can't forgive him for his betrayal, and she will not stop until she gets her sweet revenge.

Raelynn was a fierce, headstrong and Independent girl who loves making Ice-Cream but she's also pretty much short tempered. She was a likable character but sometimes I found her a bit annoying. She seemed too stubborn and didn't want to give Chase another chance. She knows she still likes him, but she didn't want to listen to his reasons. Chase was sweet, caring, and oh so sexy boyfriend. He makes some stupid decisions and unknowingly ends up hurting the girl he loves. I feel for this guy but what he did was definitely wrong. He tries to make up with Raelynn, but man she was too stubborn. They still have feelings for each other and they try hard to fight their attraction. I really liked the fun banters between them and their romance was super cute and hot. As for the other characters, I liked Chase's sister Marnie who loves annoying him, and also Raelynn's grandma, she was so much fun.

The story line was pretty much predictable but it was a fun read filled with romance, Ice Cream, and some family drama. It was a short read and can be finished in one sitting. I liked the Ice Cream aspect in the book and all those Ice cream making left me craving me for my own Unicorn Ice cream.  The writing was pretty good and easy to understand.  The book was told in dual POV's. The characters were fun and the romance was kinda cute and sexy. Overall, I enjoyed reading this book and I'll be definitely checking out more of Emma Hart's ROM-COM's in the future.

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.

Emma Hart has done it again with the second chance romance. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of Best Served Cold, and I’m sure this will be a hit with her readers.

Rae is snarky and sassy and funny, and I totally loved her as our main female lead. And Chase, he's sexy and swoony, and just damned adorable as our male lead.

Once Rae starts getting her renovations underway, and Chase pops back into her life, things get interesting, and we start to see how she and Chase really interact with each other. We also have her friend, Sophie and Chases sister Marnie, along with Rae’s grandparents, all of whom make great secondary characters. Particularly Grandma and Grandpa though.

While this all starts out with anger because of what Chase had done to Rae with the store, things quickly become funny for the reader, and have you hooked and wanting more. I never wanted to put this book down, it was so much fun. I loved the goofy moments, I loved the argumentative moments, and I loved the creative moments.

This whole novel is a lot of fun, and I highly recommend it!

Another adorable read from Emma Hart. Best Served Cold is a second chance/enemies to lovers romance that I found witty and entertaining.

Chase and Raelynn are exes who also happen to both own Ice Cream shops, Chase opened his after Raelynn breaks up with him which is a bit of a douchebag move if you ask me. This story starts off with Rae deciding it's time to take the reigns back as her store is failing while Chase's seems to be doing well.

This storyline has the two of them back in each other's lives as Rae starts her renovations. Chase seems to insert himself back into the mix and we find out that sometimes things are always what they appear to be. Along the way, feelings and emotions get brought up and we have some highly entertaining scenes that unfold as a result.

I adored this story and found myself smiling for most of this book. If you are looking for a fun, and sweet story then I definitely suggest Best Served Cold. It's the perfect book to snuggle up with.

***5 ‘You’re Cute. Mostly’ Stars***

The snark was strong in this one. Oh. So. Mind scrambling strong.
Not that I was surprised, I mean, Four Day Fling anyone???
But just like with that one, I got sucked into Raelynn and Chase’s surprisingly sweet, wonky, smexy, full of heart and ice cream filled journey and found it difficult to put it down, even when I really felt the need to toss the Kindle into the freezer.

Even with the knowledge that this was an enemies to lovers romance, I still wasn’t totally prepared for Raelynn and Chase. I loved them, I did. They both have really good hearts and are quite creative in their own rights, though sometimes that creativity doesn’t always garner positive results, but man the amount of times I wished I could reach through my Kindle and Gibbs smack some sense into them. These two made things so hard on themselves. I mean seriously SO. HARD. that picking a team to be on was difficult, though I did side firmly with Raelynn on the ice cream store, because that was a total “Oh. No. He didn’t” sitch. But thankfully, while the snark doesn’t ever fade, they both have a few ‘lightbulb’ moments and prove why they are perfect for each other.

Best Served Cold is one wild ride and lemme tell ya there were many times when I blurted out, well “out” as in my head so I don’t look absolutely crazy, “Ya, Think?!?” and “Oh no he/she didn’t.” but with all the emotional craycray there were just as many sweet, laugh out loud as well as heart melting ones and when it was all blended together, it made for one hell of a story!

So, if you love enemies to lovers/second chance romances filled snark and questionable decisions, then this is a definite must read!

I received a copy and voluntarily left a review and all opinions are my own.

Emma Hart's books always bring rays of sunshine into a sometimes cloudy day. Best Served Cold did just that with all the snark, heat, and laughter that accompanied every chapter of Raelynn and Chase's journey through love, heart break, hate, revenge to only find out that they never stopped loving each other to begin with. Every page of every chapter left me in tears of mirth, gasp of surprise, or with hot flashes gulping down cold beverages. This couple inspires lots of laughter and warm and fuzzy feelings to grow until they are uncontrollable and escape no matter where you are.

Raelynn Fortune is an independent, strong willed woman wrapped up in snark and unimaginable clumsiness. This sassy heroine kept me laughing through all of her clutzy moments, crying over her avoidable heartache, and bowing to her superior ice cream making skills. A women full of sarcasm, mistakes, and humor is someone that I love to spend time with and Raelynn has all of that and so much more...and did I mention her stellar skills with sweets? What more could a reader ask for in a fictional female friend?

Chase Aarons is a delicious book boyfriend who has been nursing a broken heart for two years and trying to get the love of his life back, in the worst way possible. I couldn't help but fall hard for him and his “man like tendencies” that usually ends up in nothing but disaster. Chase wooed me right along with Raelynn with all of his sweet gestures and kept me salivating with all of his yummy muscles and sexiness. To readers, he will be hard to forget and impossible to hate and not fall madly in love with. A heroine should never pass up a hero who understands her snark, indulges her whims, and saves her from her own clumsiness. What isn't there to love and adore about Chase?

Emma Hart delivers another silly charismatic family to fall deeply in love with and a couple that keeps things as sweet and delicious as your favorite bowl of ice cream. Best Served Cold will leave you with love in your heart for a new couple and their family and possible sweet tooth. I have always adored Emma Hart's writing from the moment I opened my first book by her. And I find with every book, I appreciate more and more of her uncanny wit and off the wall sense of humor. A reader can't help but look forward to the next book full of sarcasm and steam that she will send our way.

Read an EXCERPT here

I'm so sorry for I have been living under a rock to not have discovered Emma Hart's writing sooner. Raelynn's and Chase's story was a second chance romance with a heavy dose of sassy, heart melting romance, and a story that made me crave ice cream more with each page. The best part it is standalone!

Raelynn and Chase have a history, a very romantic history that abruptly ended with a break-up. A break-up that ended up with Chase opening a competing ice cream store next door to Raelynn's ice cream shop that she has inherited through generations. A store that is driving her out of business. Two years later Raelynn is still not over the betrayal and finally finds courage to get some revenge to rival all those hashtag worthy instagram food porn posts.

The story centers around those two with a cantankerous and sassy group of friends and family in the middle as they watch Raelynn and Chase try to find their second chance HEA. The laughs were non stop and I can't even tell you who I love more of the two MCs. Don't get me wrong Raelynn is totally right to be pissed at Chase, but you know what they say there are 3 sides to every story... his, hers, and the actual truth.

To not give away any spoilers as you MUST find out for yourself how we get to the sweetest HEA ending. Best part is that you will be laughing and smiling all throughout the book... I guarantee it.

Miss Hart you have a new devoted fan in me, I can't wait to read more of your future publications and go back to read what has been published previously.

5 Delicious & Entertaining Stars!!

“Emotion was a funny thing. Emotion controlled you in ways you didn’t understand. Instead of being rational, I freaked out.”

“If you kept playing with fire, even your heart will melt.”

“There’s a fine line between love and hate, and sometimes, it ain’t hate at all. It’s hurt.”

“Chase loved me the way people loved in movies. Unabashedly. Unashamedly, unconditionally.”

If you’re looking for a fun, light read that’s filled with lots of heart and will give you all the feels, then look no further. Best Served Cold is the perfect read to spend your day getting swept up in.

Best Served Cold pulled me in from the very first page. If fact, it’s one of the most fun stories that I’ve read in a long time. With Emma Hart’s signature humor, fierce female lead and hilarious banter, this story is one that should not be missed. When I think of second chance romances, this is exactly the story I want. From a fun and entertaining story-line, to real romance and relateable characters; this book has it all. Best Served Cold is a story that will tug at your heart and keep you begging for more.

Best Served Cold has left me with the biggest smile on my face. I mean, I just loved it. It’s the kind of story that will have you believing in love and second chances. Sure the characters have made some mistakes. Big ones in fact. But once you get into Chase & Raelynn’s story, you can’t help but root for these two to find their way back to one another. Their love is the kind that is worth fighting for. The kind that makes you do stupid things and makes you have the biggest regrets. It’s the kind of love that gives you hope and makes you never want to give up on.

Best Served Cold was just the read I have been looking for. It’s light. It’s funny. It has just the right amount of steam. The characters are irresistible and will keep you entertained right until the very end. If you’re looking for a story that’s fun, got fight and some seriously great banter, look no further. Best Served Cold is waiting and ready to capture your heart and deliver all the feels.

3 'the melted unicorn' Stars

“If you keep playing with fire, even your heart will melt.”

Sometimes you needed just a little bit of hurt to put a whole lot of things in perspective.

There was nothing like it.
It was home. It was the place I felt the most comfortable. Kissing him was the center of my compass, the single place I felt untouchable, even if I was crying when he did it.

Every meal should come with a side of snark. Just like life.
Life was brighter with a little snark.

5 Stars!

Emma Hart is one of my favorite authors out there and I love the worlds she creates, always knowing exactly what to expect when I open one of her books... with the ease and predictability of her journeys and the fire and sass in her characters.

Best Served Cold is her latest standalone romantic comedy and I loved every single moment of it, devouring all the words until the pages quit turning. Enemies to lovers with a side of undeniable chemistry... A second chance romance that was completely unforgettable in every way... Rae and Chase stole the show the minute they stepped onto my kindle... with snarky fun banter and a whole lot of feelings... and once they started, I couldn't let them go.

Emma can write with the best of them and she totally knows how to please. Any of her rom-coms are the perfect start to those incredible writer.

I highly recommend this book.
