“I need to get back to the castle and warn my father,” Surah said. “But you can’t come with me.”
Charlie shook his head. “Not unless I want to end up right back in the dungeons.”
Surah nodded, slipping her sais back into her cloak. “It’s decided, then. You stay here, and I’ll go.”
“You sure it’s safe?” Charlie said. “After what Hunter Gray saw us doing?”
“Samson is at the castle,” Surah replied.
“And no one messes with a Great Tiger?” he guessed.
Surah smirked. “Some do… They just don’t live to tell about it.”
From the author of The Wolf Wars Series, The Blood Pack Trilogy, The Alexa Montgomery Series, and The Aria Fae Series, comes the second installment of the epic fantasy Heiress of Magic Trilogy.
H. D. Gordon is the author of several fantasy series with strong female leads.
She is the mother of two amazing daughters, and a lover of nature. She believes our actions have ripple effects, and in the interconnectedness of all things.
H. D. spends her time with family, eating desserts, and taking strolls through the forests of New Jersey.
Sarah and Charlie are characters that make you want to see with a happy ever after ending, but leave you afraid that won't happen. In this book, Theo is not quite the jerk from the first book but he too may be swimming upstream against the flood of evil. The story line continues to keep the reader guessing, so we will see what arises in Book Three.
I highly recommend this trilogy. It is just another fine series by Ms. Gordon.
I liked all of the different powers. The characters were interesting and unique. The world building was well done. The writing was very descriptive. Great fantasy book. I look forward to more in the series.
