This has tons of raving reviews and I've been wondering for a minute or two if I somehow read a different book. I did not like it at all. Didn't think it had that good of the writing and the dialogue and inner monologue felt very strange. It wasn't a book for me.

This is an absolutely delight to read.....it has everything that I love in a romance book, everything from seriously hot sex scenes, likeable hero and heroin and a touch of excitement and drama.
First we have the hero, Thomas Jeffries, he is a bodyguard and single dad to Lacey and he takes his role as a father VERY seriously. But he is also caring, thoughtful and protective human being, just to mention a few.
And then we have the heroin, Bridget Meyers, she's an popular actress, with her feet solid plantet on the ground, she is giving and also thoughtful of her employees and people around her. And she makes friends fast with everybody, do to her likable personality.
But she has problems both with her past and her present, that makes it difficult for them to start a relationship. And it is those problems we have the pleasure to follow while they try to figur them self and each other out.
Is the story completely realistic with a job as a bodyguard, no it is not, and is it realistic, the way Bridget Meyers life is portrayed as a famous actress, no diffidently not. But if you can look away of the minor faults of the details, then you have found a truly enjoyable and entertaining book to read.

Show Stopper was just hat it was a show stopper. . . Thomas was amazing, Bridget was more, and Lacey sweet loveable
This one was a show stopper. Thomas would allow nothing to stop him from doing his job as a father nor as a body guard. Nothing was going to slow him down from performing his duty. He did was needed to protect the females of his life .He was the hero that we want to be their for us. All the time.

An actress and a hot single dad bodyguard, oh yes, this one got my name all over it.
It has forbidden romance with a light suspense and a lot of drama. There's also definitely a lot of hotness.
She's got a secret and he's job is to protect her, not fall in love with her. Yes this book got me hooked from the beginning and I can't put it down.
The secret, the suspense, the sexual tension between Bridget and Thomas, their banters and then there's this sweet little girl Lacey, all of those things make me love this book, although there's something that a bit doesn't make any sense for me, in the end I still enjoying read this book and put a big smile on my face.
As for characters, I love Thomas, his protectiveness, his dedication towards his daughter, his loves one and his make me love him more. Although I wanted to smack him for that stupid act, I still love him.
And for Bridget, she's one sweet caring girl with some insecurities that bit bothering me.
But overall, I like this sweet couple and love their story.

Bridget was an actress and she needed a bodyguard immediately so Thomas was dispatched to her house. He couldn't believe it because he always found her beautiful. Thomas also had a beauty of his own his five year old daughter?
Thomas and Bridget i a lot of time together running errands, so when he asked Bridget would she mine that he takes some time off because he wanted to bring his daughter to school see told him to go.
Bridget turns out to be nicer than expected and Thomas has to keep his hard on down when he is around her. Lacey, Thomas's daughters falls in love with Bridget and that could be a problem with Thomas.
Bridgets stalker follows her to her house to get her address. Thomas is really worried about Bridget so he is stick get to her closely. Bridget has a big secret and if anyone finds out it could be the end of her blooming career. Bridget get home from being out without Thomas to find a note on her door that says "I know who you are". Bridget feels that Thomas had betrayed her since it's only Thomas and her agent that know about her secret.
She screams at Thomas accusing him of leaking her secret. Thomas is taken back at her accusations. In the meantime his daughter Lacey is asking when Bridget will be back. Finally Thomas and Bridget do some talking and her driver drives back to them back to her house.
When they reach her house Thomas notices someone in Bridget's home. He tells her driver to stay across the street. When he goes in he finds the culprit who has a baseball bat and proceeds to take him down. Bridget notices it's the same guy who bothered her in the club when she went with her friend.
The culprit was asked if he wrote the note and he confesses and what he meant was he know where she lived. Bridget apologizes to Thomas and he accepted. Bridget and Thomas keep their relationship quiet but things are hot hot between them.
But, can Thomas's and Bridget's relationship survive? Will Lacey have her wish granted? You will going to have to read the book. Wonderful read that I highly recommend.

This was a fabulous single dad & actress story. Thomas is hired to be a bodyguard for Bridget, a famous actress. Bridget is clearly worried about something but we are kept in suspense for most of the book. There is a secret, a threat, and trust issues which adds tension to the plot. Bridget, when she is not working, is pretty down to earth & considering of others, especially Thomas' young daughter Lacey. I loved the way Bridget owned her sexuality and met her match in Thomas. Excellent, suspenseful story with high heat sensual aspects.

Wow! I've volunteered to review this book for the author. I absolutely loved this book and was done with it after a few hours. Bridget Meyers hires Thomas Jeffries as her bodyguard. I was blown away by this one. I love the chemistry between Bridget and Thomas. I absolutely fell in love with Thomas's daughter too. You will be drawn into this book too. Just like I was. Keep up the awesome work Amy! I can't wait to read your next book. Highly recommend this ONE!

I love reading, it's my escape and this book by Amy Brent took me to a happy place.
I absolutely loved Thomas, Bridget and Lacey.
This book review would not be complete without mentioning the adorable Bernie, Bridget's driver, and how awesome and attentive he was toward her!
This book had all the wonderful feels and brought tears to my eyes on more than one occasion as I read page after page of Thomas, (Bridget's bodyguard) and Bridget, (an actress he was hired to protect) and Lacey (Thomas' daughter that had been abandoned by her mother) submitting to the chemistry and natural attraction to each other.
There was so much chemistry going on between Thomas and Bridget from the beginning as they struggled with their attraction trying to make a choice with their head that their heart refused to go along with.
I was pulled into this book during the first chapter and held prisoner through the breathtaking Epilogue!
Thomas was a true Alpha and took care of his woman in all the ways a man should!
I found this book to be filled with suspense, drama, over the top chemistry and a love so natural for all involved and I simply did not want to put it down.
The finale was the heartfelt HEA for these 3 people when they decided to become a family!

Ohhh! This was such a sweet story! It had thrills, chills and excitement. This is the second book 📚 by Amy Brent that I have read and I loved it!
In this book a high profile actress named Bridget hires a hot hunky man named Thomas to be her bodyguard. The chemistry between these two is thick from the start. There is no denying the attraction. Things between them grow and he even introduces her to his daughter. But Bridget has a secret that could tear her apart. And as things get dicey, that world is being ripped out from her. Will Thomas save her?
I love the characters in this book. His daughter is sooo adorable, you can't help but love her 💕. The story is well laid out and flows smoothly. I wish that the secret was a little more threatening than it was, but it was still a great story. I do love a good bodyguard love ❤️ story. It is a great page turner. Could be the next Whitney Houston's Bodyguard movie! I also love the very ending, it is funny and sweet. I was laughing and crying at the same time. So if you are looking for a steamy read with a great story, then this book is for you. It will have you on the edge of your seat one minute and toes curling the next.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. I really enjoyed this book. Bridget and Thomas were such a hot pair. I loved how Bridget was a strong person when it came to her career and at home and with others she was such a caring person. She really made a point of being thoughtful of the needs of others. From her driver when he went the above and beyond just driving her, to her friend who needs help and finally to Thomas who says his daughter is the most important person in his live. She makes sure that he is done for the day before Lacey, his daughter gets out of school so that he can spend as much time with her. Thomas is a single dad who has been hat way since fighting Lacey's mom for custody when she wanted to put her up for adoption without telling him. Bridget has secrets though and is in need of a bodyguard. Thomas tries from the beginning to keep everything professional between them. Bridget has other ideas though. She is very attracted to Thomas. This story had such great elements for a great read. Suspense, lust, great scenes with Lacey and of course one hot and steamy couple. Loved this book. It is definitely up there as one of my top books by Ms Brent.

Thomas Jefferies is a single dad hire to be a bogy guard to Bridget Meyers an actress. Bridget Meyers is an actress with a secret and is afraid that someone is after her because of the secret. Bridget and Thomas is hot off right from their first meeting but Thomas doesn't want to acknowledge that there could be more between them because he needs to protect his daughter too. His daughter is his top priority and he wants Bridget to understand that. Things escalate pretty quick and when Bridget is in danger Thomas takes her home with him and she bonds with his daughter Lacey and then things with them get intense. Thomas thought their relationship was going somewhere until Bridget told him her secret. Can he move passed what she told him? Is the threat to Bridget imagined? Read the book to find out.
I loved this book. The characters were amazing and little Lacey stole the show. I can't wait to read more by the author this was another 5 star hit for me.

HOT HOT HOT..with a side of HOT! Seriously..if your going to read Show Stopper..keep a water hose handy..or you may become the water hose..KIDDING! Amy Brent is easily becoming one of my favorite authors..each book she releases captivates and consumes me more! I absolutely loved this one!
Thomas is smokin!! What is better than a nice strong, hot bodyguard that also possesses the loving and protective qualities of a single dad?? Nothing is better!
Bridget is everything I love in a heroine..full of spunk..fun and feisty although she does have her secrets!

There is something to be said for a big, strong alpha man that has such a soft tender side with a heart of gold. That is exactly what you find with Thomas in this great single dad romance by Amy Brent. All of the characters in Show Stopper are very lovable, especially Thomas' daughter Lacey. The bond that he shares with her is so beautifully written and they definitely pull at your heartstrings. Thomas is a bodyguard and was hired to protect one of Hollywood's biggest leading ladies. Bridget is an actress that has a past that is starting to catch up with her. The chemistry between Thomas an Bridget is instant but Thomas is so worried about crossing the employee/employer line that he continuously fights the attraction. What will happen when she tells Thomas about her secret? Will it be a show stopper? I don't want to give anything away so this is a highly recommended 1-click read to find out. ANOTHER HIT – RIGHT OUT OF THE PARK
I received this novel as an ARC (Advanced Reader's Copy) for an honest review.
I love Amy Brent's novels. Everyone I read, makes me love her more and I enjoy each and every story.
I knew right from the first page this was going to be one hot and steamy read! When the book starts out on a fan yourself hot scene, you just know its going to get better as you get into it.
The characters (Bridget, Thomas) were so well written. The chemistry between them explosive. Lacey was so cute and hillarious. I read this book in one sitting as I just could not put it down.
I only had one confusing part and that was I just couldn't understand why Thomas was so upset and Bridgets revelation. But that was just me.
I loved this book. You have to read it. But make sure you have a fan near by. You will need it.

I knew right from the first page this was going to be one hot and steamy read! When the book starts out on a fan yourself hot scene, you just know its going to get better as you get into it.
The characters (Bridget, Thomas) were so well written. The chemistry between them explosive. Lacey was so cute and hillarious. I read this book in one sitting as I just could not put it down.
I only had one confusing part and that was I just couldn't understand why Thomas was so upset and Bridgets revelation. But that was just me.
I loved this book. You have to read it. But make sure you have a fan near by. You will need it.

This is a wonderful story with great characters and a HEA. Thomas is a single dad and works as a bodyguard. He gets a job to be Bridget Meyers, who is a well known actress. The first time they meet sparks fly but Thomas fights his feelings because he is a professional and it's not professional to sleep with your boss. Bridget however continually taunts him and flirts with him and he ends up giving in just a little by fingering her to an unbelievable orgasm. Afterwards he tells her it can't happen again and it definitely can't go any further. Bridget also hides a secret that may change the way Thomas sees her. This is by far my favorite book by Amy Brent! I won't do spoilers but this book was so well written, it will drag you in from page 1 and you won't be able to stop reading until you are done....and then you will be disappointed that you finished reading! It has a bit of everything, a single hot, alpha male and his too cute 5 year old daughter, the down to earth but feisty actress he is guarding. The book is sweet, captivating, entertaining, off the charts chemistry, sexy, smoldering, hot and those steamy sexy moments-or hours, while told from dual POV for maximum affect. This is one book you definitely don't want to miss.

A fabulous read about romance and lust and loving and the film making industry and never really having any privacy. I couldn't put the book down - I so wanted to see how Amy Brent would bring them together with Bridget's secret hovering over her and Thomas. Lacey was a gorgeous child and her interactions with Bridget brought a tear to my eye. As for Bridget and Thomas and their lusty, sexy, kinky loving - well, goes without saying that this is an Amy Brent book and she writes soooo hot and steamy. I was very privileged to have an ARC of this book and have willingly and honestly reviewed it here.

I absolutely loved this story from the beginning to the very last word.
The storyline was great, who doesn't love a hot sexy man who loves his little girl and a man who protects what's his. The characters are so realistic it's like they're in front of you.
There is drama, intrigue, heartwarming moments and one's when you smack them stupid. The chemistry between Thomas and Bridget is hot and sizzling and he is sexual just what she needs. And lastly Lacey is adorable and the interaction between her and her new mommy is the sweetest.
Definitely recommend this book, Amy Brent has done another fantastic job with this one.

I have enjoyed reading about Thomas and Bridget. The story showed that even as a movie star you want to live a normal life. Bridget was so in tuned to hide her secret on how she became a star. At times she became blinded by her own demons. All Thomas wanted was to do his job as her bodyguard. Thomas her bodyguard who is a single dad does his best to protect her. The love connection between the two is so genuine and both soon realize that they are made for each other. I would recommend this book for anyone who is a romantic.
